After looking over all of my qualifications she sent me on an assignment that was well below my pay requirements, for a position that also was below my qualifications. It is my beliefe that she was aware that this was " hostile work environment". When she checked in with me after about 3 weeks, because they had failed to pay me that week. I just simply stated I would like her to look for a new work assignment more closely related to my qualifications and pay requirements. The next day I was told that the current assignment ended. Common courtesy is to at least give me a moment of their time to speak with me or email me to tell me something. I've been a recruiter for over 9 years, including at an agency and we were always trained to meet with all interested candidates. Even if it's a quick phone call or email saying " thank you, but we have nothing for you at the moment". Top talent should go to another agency that will treat you with more dignity and respect.
