Very unprofessional. Scam I applied for a position on indeed.com. A lady called me, asked what my address is, what hours I wanted to work, and how far I'm willing to commute. When I asked her what the address was she said, "she couldn't give it to me yet until we were further into the "hiring" process". The last thing she asked for was the last 4 digits of my social security number. I asked why she needed that information right now and she proceeded to tell me it's so she can send me the information to fill out for the job. I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving that out and she told me without it, she can't send me the information and to call back if I'll give her my ss number.... I went to their actual website and called them to see if it was legit. Another lady answered and said I don't need to give that information out and she was going to put my name down and then hung up. Missy Mullen (Express Employment Kingston Pike) is insulting, unprepared, and unprofessional. Whoever I spoke with on Thursday was nice. They were engaged, and they were excited by my resume. We arranged for me to come in on Monday (Today). The interview was in their system for Friday when they knew I was not available to come in. Mistakes happen and I understand that. However, that does not excuse them for being unprepared and rude. That is not professional from them as an organization. I am in the process of attempting a career switch. So I apologize for insulting Ms. Mullen by being a truck driver. I am a certified professional and I will not take being talked down to and insulted by anyone. My time is valuable, and my time was wasted by this experience. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was wonderful, but my in office experience was not. Missy made me feel like I was wasting her time. In my 36 years I have never been the one to end and walk out of an interview, but today I did. I will not be insulted, nor will be be talked down to by anyone at any company on this planet. If the attitude from the recruiter is not respectful and not professional then it is not a situation I will allow myself to be in. They made me wait over an hour and had the nerve to insult me because I have to work to support myself and my son. She also asked an illegal question. I can not recommend this place to anyone. If you are a prospect find another place to apply. If you are evaluating a company to help with your staffing please find another company. I have been waiting for over 30 days for my background check to be reviewed as I am trying to get a job at Custom Foods. I have made numerous calls to Express about this. She has told me, each time I call that it takes time and that there are special conditions as far as background checks that are allowed for Custom Foods. I have a felony charge but I know several other people who also have felony charges who work at Custom Foods. I feel that I have been discriminated against. I have been clean for over a year and I've straightened up my life. I've been working at very low paying jobs and I would like to better myself and make more money so that I can afford to support myself. read more
