Today, I purchased a bag of dog treats that was priced at $14.99. Unfortunately, I wasn't wearing my glasses and mistakenly thought I had picked up the bag that was $4.99. By the time I realized the mistake, I had already opened the package and given my dog a treat. When I called the store, I was told they couldn't accept a return because it was an opened pet food item. I completely understand that policy. However, what concerned me even more was that the tag claimed the treats were "Compared at $20.00." After looking online, I found the exact same treats selling for under $6 at multiple retailers. Seeing a comparison price of $20 feels very misleading when that doesn't appear to reflect the actual market price. I'm sharing my experience so other shoppers will take a moment to double-check prices--especially on pet products--and compare them online before purchasing. T.J. Maxx is still one of my favorite stores, but this experience left me feeling disappointed and like I didn't receive the value I expected. I hope T.J. Maxx reviews how comparison prices are displayed so customers can shop with confidence and know they're truly getting a great deal.

I personally was disappointed and miss their old stores and format having changed them all about two years ago to a more upgraded, fancier look. I was sad to even see their Florida stores also changed the format. They raised their prices too and the deals are not as good as when it was just a basic, bargain basement, clearance center for their Florida chain Department stores. I used to be able to get items here for a quarter with their previous dot clearance procedures. However, with that said, I still dig Beall's Outlet! It is still a cool store, clean, good deals, newer inventory now, and the staff is always so nice here. I do not have to pick up clothes on the floor, deal with thousands of screaming kids not being watched, long lines, cops in the store running after thieves, and dirty diapers when I go here as I do another, not naming names but looking at you, west side clearance stores. I will take that over other clearance type of stores any day. It also helps that I love Beachy types of things. They have nice home wares that include nautical looks. ( Not exclusively though)

My favorite thing to come in for are sheet sets because they have a lot of the 6-pc sets (2 extra pillowcases) for cheap. I'm not too picky on my designs, so I always find something. I found a lot of home organization products here, too. I go on weekends and there is never really a line. Usually one cashier and she holds it down (Not always the same one). I really only interact with the cashier and security guard (also not always the same one). Never had a problem with either one.

This location is temporarily set up in a different spot within the mall, so the selection was slightly more limited than usual, but still solid. Both of my daughters managed to find unique shirts they absolutely love, which is no small feat given their very different styles. What really stood out, though, was the service, super friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The staff was quick to answer questions and made the whole experience feel easy and fun. Can't wait to check out the revamped store once it reopens upstairs. For now, this mini version is still worth the stop if you're in the mood for something a little offbeat and expressive!

That said, I popped in here to take a look at their baby clothes this past weekend and oh my gosh - they were having the biggest sale ever! Their clearance section was an additional 40% off of the discounted price and then for being a cardholder, I got ANOTHER 30% off of my entire purchase! You guys, I almost felt guilty for walking out of there for under $30 with about 10 pieces of baby clothing and a dress for me. Is this real life?!
