Buyer beware! We just limped back into the United States with our 2018 Grand Design travel trailer…read moreafter completing the 28-day tour of the Baja Peninsula with Baja Amigos. First of all, let me start by indicating that Route 1 in Mexico is listed as "one of the most dangerous roads in the world". On Day 3 of our adventure, we severely damaged our rear axle right outside of Catavina. The potholes 50-miles north and south of Catavina are not really discussed on Dan Goy's website. Most are seven and eight inches deep and are ever present in that region. Safe travel speeds ten miles south of Catavina are approximately 5 to 10 miles per hour. To make matters worse, the roads are very narrow with drop offs of eight to twelve inches to the right of the white line if there even is one. Four of the seven people in our caravan have filed PayPal claims against Baja Amigos not only for the horrible roads but for the constant change in the agenda. Many, many nights we were expecting full hookups at our campsites but were told very late by our wagon masters that we were not going to the location in the book but were staying on a dirt soccer fields with no hookups or in a marina parking lot with no hookups. The people whom we met turning the tours and who suffered through this mess with us were wonderful. Dan Goy and Baja Amigos are a disgrace.
