I went to get my oil changed.. THAT WAS IT! THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR WHEN I GOT THERE! The technician said that I needed a new air filter. He showed me the old filter and I said ok .. change it! I paid him for the oil change and filter and left. As I was driving the check engine light and the Hazzard light came on. I IMMEDIATELY went back and told them about the lights coming on! I was not happy and They were rude .. but they said let them check and see what the problem was! The manager was looking at it and told me a hose was not put back on.. when the filter was changed. THIS A OIL CHANGING PLACE .. THEY DO THIS ALL DAY! I left and both lights went off! I was driving down the road and the HAZZARD light came back on! I immediately called the manger and told him .. the HAZZARD light was back on! He told me I hit some button and that is why it was on! I DID NOT HIT ANY BUTTON AND THAT LIGHT HAD NEVER CAME ON BEFORE! I get back there and the manager hooked his little computer up to my car and then tried to tell me .. Something was wrong with my steering wheel column! He did not say that the first time he had his little computer hooked up to my car! THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR WHEN I GOT THERE .. Went in asking for oil change, tire rotation and a rear tail light to be replaced. When I picked up my car I was told that the tire rotation could not be done because I needed two new tires. The manager priced two tires at $596. I drove to the nearest Goodyear dealer to compare prices and when the manager at Goodyear checked my tires I didn't need tires at all. I cannot thank the Express Oil team enough! We were at the end of our Orange Beach vacation and were ready to drive home but a first a dead battery stalled us...and even after we got jumped, the car still wouldn't run properly. Triple A towed us to Express Oil, and I'll admit it seemed strange to turn to a oil change place to work on your car. I needn't have worried. They diagnosed our very simple problem very quickly and - get this - didn't charge us a dime to replace the blown fuse. Now that is service. I had my oil changed with no prior issues with my vehicle. A couple of weeks later my oil pressure gauge started acting weird when I braked and turned (Note I only drive my car about once a week). I was told it was probably a sensor and to come in. When I brought it in Kenny told me it wasn't my sensor and that it did have low oil pressure and that it was ticking and it was my oil pump and it was going to need replaced and it was going to cost me between $1200-$1500. I would assume at that point they also checked my oil. They are called Express Oil.. I went to get a second opinion today and it turns out my oil pressure is not in fact low and it was just almost out of oil somehow nit long after they changed my oil. They don't see a leak big enough to lose all of that oil so where it went is a mystery. But it is obvious that when I was there right after my oil change the low oil was the problem and they jumped on it being a $1200 fix instead of just checking my oil. After the second place added oil today all of the problems I was experiencing went away. I'm a single mother and feel kind of like he was taking advantage of my not knowing what was going on or maybe the fact that I was trusting them. I'm not sure. I definitely won't even be getting my oil changed there again since we're not even sure where my oil went that fast. read more

This was my first visit to a "quick oil change" place ever. I ordinarily go to the dealership. I had mentally prepared myself for the high pressure up sale that is rumored to always happen at these places... To my very pleasant surprise, there was none of that! This place is great, the folks that work there are polite, professional and efficient. The prices are reasonable and the service is quick. I drove in with my pup, and they even gave him a treat! I'm having terrible experiences with Express Oil Change, Ricky Brooks/CEO. The incident happened 11/03/2015 in Foley, Alabama. I went in for a routine oil change and was solicited for a tune-up. The ASE mechanic performing the service was not certified to do tune-ups. He broke a sparkplug off and it fell down into my engine. They kept my car for about six weeks and would return it to me saying it was fixed, but it never was. Finally, they agreed to another technician in Pensacola to evaluate my original engine. That technician said my engine was destroyed and needed replaced. I offered to share the cost of a new engine but Express Oil Change adamantly declined my offer. Instead, they had a salvaged engine from a wrecked SRX in Louisiana installed in my car by Bullard Cadillac in Mobile, Alabama. From the day I picked up my car on March 7, 2016, I have been complaining to Express Oil Change that the used engine is not performing correctly. Their mechanic in Daphne, Alabama finally looked at my car, only after I exercised the limited warranty on the used engine. Prior to this action, I was communicating with Michael Johnston in Birmingham and he was not cooperative at all to return my SRX to the condition it was in prior to 11/03/2015. He was defaming my character, even though I had been patient and cooperative throughout this whole ordeal. The latest "fix" of this used engine was balancing the tires and installing after-market motor mounts. Neither has resolved the mechanical issues with this used engine. It is now August 2016, 9 months since the mechanic at Express Oil Change in Foley, Alabama destroyed the engine in my SRX. I am stuck with this used engine in my vehicle and they refuse to do anything further to fix my vehicle. Never let Express Oil Change at any location touch your vehicle! 12/9/17 My husband took my 2012 Fiat 500 here for an oil change. Without telling my husband about it they walked next door to the Auto Zone and bought the filter for my car for $19.95. They then charged my husband $40.00 for the filter and $75 total for the oil change. This has never happened at other Express Oil locations. The man had a bad attitude when confronted about the $75 charge and didn't check the fluid levels or tires or anything else. He said the manager was not in. Amazing service. I went in for an oil change and a tire rotation. I was helped by a gentleman named Joey. He noticed some things about my car that were not safe with my brake line. I had already prepared myself for the haggle and all that comes along with these places. But, this was different. When I said I did not have the money for anything extra, I just needed what I came for, I expected him to go into his whole sales pitch. He did not try to pressure me into buying a whole bunch of stuff and was trying to figure out ways to help me save money. I said no, to kind of test the waters to see if he persisted. He did not! In my opinion, this is an awesome way to do business at this type of place! They have an excellent credit option. Well, needless to say- I got the things I came for. I also drove off the lot safer than I drove on to it. I've since got new tires, which were also a great deal! I love the personalities here, the customer service is unbelievable.
