Just stopped in to get air in one tire. Daniel was so helpful. He checked the air in them all. The other 3 had too much abs he evened them out and explained about watching the tire pressure. I needed a quick oil change so decided to pay Express Oil a visit. It was actually busy because I had to wait about 20 minutes to get into an actual bay. When I first pulled up, I was greeted as usual, but I must say when I pulled up in the bay, the customer service was awesome. The associates spoke to me like I they knew me. They were attentive and assured me I would be out quickly. They checked my doors, lights, windshield/windshield wipers as usual but they just seemed joyous on this day...a day when it was super cold outside. So I appreciate their service. The only thing that I didn't like was they have a huge pothole as you are pulling out of the bay that needs to be addressed/fixed soon. I was praying as I rolled over it that it wouldn't affect my tires. Luckily it didn't but I was driving very slow/gentle. Anyways it was a good visit and will be back soon. read more

Took my car in to get two tires mounted which was done in a timely manner. Unfortunately the technician scratched both wheels through the clear coat and into the machined faces on almost the entire diameter of the wheel, and scratched the wheels in a few other places. When i came back to the store I was told the manager wasn't in and the technician took pictures of the damage and said I would receive a call the next day. As of the time of writing it has been 48 hours since my visit with no contact attempts from the manager. Update: I drove 32 miles to speak to the manager after he refused to accept a call. The manager is stating that even though i have photo evidence of the damage not being there prior to the service that he "simply couldn't do it due to the machine being plastic".... Trey, you're simply a coward who can't accept responsibility for your mistakes. read more

Stopped here because the low pressure indicator came on right before taking the exit. Thankful they were open and not busy. The young man got all the tires back to the right amount but the one I had in question was much lower so we knew it was the primary problem. He told me that they wouldn't be able to fully inspect the tire because it was nearing closing time. I made it home but the light was on again this morning. I went to the Alabaster location and I am up and running. I was pleased with the young man's customer service skills that I couldn't leave without giving him a tip. I will definitely keep this Hoover location on my list. read more

I called the day before and wanted to confirm that they had the tires I needed and could do the work next day. I arranged to have a friend pick me up so they could have my car for 5 hours. When I arrived, I was told the only tire options for my car were $250 more because the tires I asked for were not actually available. A complete waste of a trip and now I have to figure out when I can get this done elsewhere. read more

I have been to many a oil change places, this was the first place that i was not ushered out of my vehicle. This place however they guide you in. You sit in the vehicle the whole time, which when i went was around 94 degrees outside...so yeah got a little warm. They did get me in and out pretty quick (10 min stated) staff was friendly and knowledgable. All in all will be back, decent price for full synthetic oil change. Update on review 10/25/17.... still quick but now they tell you to go to google reviews and tell you to give them 5 stars.... and watch you to ensure you do so.. i for one think this is a bad practice!!! read more

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I recently brought my truck in for an oil change and the technician broke the radiator while he was changing my oil. I ended up out of pocket $600 since I had to replace the radiator and the manager, Trey Roberts refused to take any responsibility for it. My truck was totally fine when I brought it in and after the oil change fluid was all over the engine bay from the broken part on the radiator which could not just be repaired. The technician and the manager stated that they did not break it and that it was already broken even after watching it on video that they had. He adamantly continued to deny any responsibility at all the entire time with lies. So I had no choice but to replace my radiator thereafter he finally agreed to NOT charge me labor and I had to purchase the radiator ($591 was the price he quoted). After I did some searching the very radiator he ordered was $265, so he wanted to mark it up $350! (which would basically cover the labor he said he would cover). In the end, I personally bought the radiator, and then he charged me for the labor after he said he wouldn't. Unfortunately, I had no options since I was traveling through town and would have to have it towed from their garage to another mechanic to perform the work. It's hard to believe that my truck was fine when I drove it in there, and I could not drive it away without it costing me $600 and they still lied and looked to manipulate the situation to still make money off of me when THEY caused the damage. Throughout the whole ordeal, the manager was very rude and frustrated and would not take any responsibility or offer any apologies. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

I have a Toyota Tacoma. I went in to get a simple oil change on 3/25/22. The following day at around 9pm I was driving to Cullman and a low oil code came up. I stopped to get oil to take it back to express so they could correct their mistake. A week later I was still leaking oil and spent that Saturday pressure washing oil stains off my customers driveway. I took it back so they could try to fix it again and this time they're trying to stick me with an $82 fee. Which is ridiculous since I've gone 5 days without my only vehicle and they did not offer a rental or anything. Fingers crossed it doesn't leak when I get it back. If you need your oil change I would highly recommend finding another place!! read more

The technicians usually go above and beyond by cleaning and squeegee my front windshield and refilling washer fluid but they didn't do those two important things this time. I'm disappointed. Gave these guys a call to see how busy they were and they indicated they could get me right in. I showed up about 10 minutes later and just as they stated, right in. They guide you into the slot and you wait in the car as they perform the full service. oil change, top of fluids and 20 point inspection. Pricing is in line with every one else, and if it's your first visit you get $5 off your oil change price. Professional, friendly staff had me back on the road again in about 15 minutes. I definitely plan on returning when it's time for my next oil change. I recommend these guys for quick, professional vehicle service. read more

These guys really took care of me. I was quoted $650 at another auto shop for getting my AC repaired and they fixed my issue for almost $200 less. I pulled in because my check engine light was on. the manager met me out front and i explained i'd like them to see why. nobody else was in line or waiting. 1 bay was blocked by a truck. the 2nd bay was open. he told me to pull behind the truck in bay 1. i saw his reverse lights come on and go off so i figured he was getting ready to leave. as it turned out, he was just getting started. 5 minutes later, the same manager directed a truck into the empty bay. my blood is starting to boil now. he performs an oil change on that truck and i am still waiting behind the truck. he directs another car into the bay while i am still waiting. finally, i get in and i have to wait another 10 minutes for them to find a diagnostic instrument. finally, the same manager uses the diagnostics tool on my van. it takes less than 2 minutes to get the repair code. he relays that information to someone else who stares at a computer for 5 minutes, then disappears, then comes back to stare at the computer again, nobody saying anything to me. they finally give me the diagnosis and ask if i want them to repair it. as i tried not to take his head off, i say no. so for a 5 minute stop, i was sitting there for 45 minutes. thank you i have used various express oil changes for at least 20 years, including this one, and have been very satisfied. i even recommended them to people who asked where to go. thanks to these clowns they will never see me or my family again nor will any recommendations be going out. read more
