It's worth calling them before replacing an appliance. They will tell you if they can repair it for less than replacing. For our three appliances, we spent under 1,000 dollars versus over 3,500 dollars to replace.

This took 3 visits to resolve with the first being a bit of a misdiagnosis. After that- that issue was resolved fairly easily. The second request was for fridge and freezer gasket replacement. This was (and still is) a complete disaster. The gasket has been changed, installed a second time, reordered, and reinstalled- without the issue being rectified. A heat gun was used by the tech at the initial installation to help the gasket expand. This damaged the inside of the door and the freezer compartment still isn't as it should be in terms of the gasket forming a proper seal. We were essentially told the issue with the seal had to do with "internal insulation degradation" and that there is nothing more to be done. We are left with the option to use paper towels to expand the gasket so it reaches the body of the freezer- still with no actual seal. No attempt to compensate for the time, effort, and lack of ability to fix the issue on the part of the company. The tech we dealt with is very professional, personable, and helpful, but the lack of the company's accountability for the job not being completed to a satisfactory level leaves me not so happy to recommend this company to anyone- particularly since the simpler of the 2 jobs we requested was the one that has still not been resolved. The cost of the services was also excessive given the number of times we had to have them out and the fact that it is still not repaired properly.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering Repair In Toronto to ask for a clear written total…read morebefore authorizing any work. When I booked the appointment, I was told that repairs typically range between $150-$180. During the visit, the technician mentioned approximately $345 while discussing the option of ordering parts from the manufacturer. We understood that amount to refer to part replacement -- not the repair itself. At no point did we clearly understand that the dishwasher repair alone would total $345. The invoice was presented only after the work had already been completed. The technician arrived at approximately 6:00 PM (the appointment had been scheduled for 4:30 PM) and left at 7:14 PM. We were later told that two hours of labour were charged. In total, we were charged $345 for the dishwasher repair (1h10 min) and $80 for a very brief oven adjustment (5 min). The issue was the lack of clear and explicit confirmation of the final total before the repair proceeded. A repair expected to fall within the $150-$180 range became a $480 visit. If you choose to use Repair In Toronto, make sure you request the exact total in writing before approving any work.

I fixed the "problem" myself bc he quoted me a crazy high price. what he diagnosed wasn't the problem though and when I messaged him to tell him that, he didn't care or offer to come back to diagnose again. in the end, I had to pay for another company (acco) to properly diagnose the problem and they fixed it right away. They were great, unlike these guys who come in for the quick $100 fee and get out with the first thing they see instead of a full diagnostic. not saying they're a scam or anything. just saying this guy couldn't care less. I emailed their head office and didn't even get an acknowledgement.
