So I ran into problems on Saturday with a computer that I was assembling. I got to the point where I knew something was wrong and I couldn't go back but was afraid to go forward. I went online and found Express Techs and booked a Monday appointment. I got an acknowledgement from Rick who kept in touch with me to insure I knew when he would arrive. We have used this company on at least two occasions. The first time, service was with a gentleman that was very pleasant to have in our home - I felt very comfortable. He was thorough and when I had questions, he remembered the issues I had and was able to help me over the phone with a few tweaks. Remembering this positive experience, I called them when we needed their services. This time, the owner and a trainee came out together. I stepped into the adjacent room as the two used the computer space. The owner said, "We're going to need your password" and I walked over to log in personally. This was, by his facial expression, a nuisance to him as I learned that I'd log in 4 more times. Regardless, I prefer the option of personally logging in as opposed to handing out my password to two men. Although they're in the depths of my computer, I still feel better protected keeping that private. I made small talk with the owner: "You're training someone new. I was expecting the tech I had last time." "I fired him. He was a lazy worker that complained about not having money but he didn't want to work. I can't pay him for not showing up!" Somehow it came out that he's down two techs since he fired the one and another abruptly passed away. As they talked to each other, they repeatedly complained aloud about how they "hate Vista", my 'inferior, trial and error, operating system'. :/ The attitude of the owner that just did not want to be there, however, is what leads me to find another company for my future computer needs. If negativity is hiring, the employees will not be very positive. Also, on a side note, I could not use my office for the remainder of the day: I had to air it out from 'body odor' and was not too keen on sitting back in my chair after seeing the bottom of the techs shirt halfway up his back and the top of his pants halfway down his behind. I do, however, have to give 3 stars as my computer was repaired. The review lacks star rating due to un-professionalism (attitude and presentation/body exposure). read more

Robert is the man.... knowledgeable and trustworthy. . Comes to your home, conducts analysis, does the fix if possible right then and there. If not able at your home will take your machine to their shop and returns, in my case, next day....with a machine that runs like new. We have several computers and Robert has brought a couple of them back from the grave. I only have kudos for this company and Robert specifically. Highly recommend them and won't let anyone else touch our computers. read more

My husband and son initially built a custom gaming computer when my son decided he wanted to upgrade it (which of course was not necessary, but you know teens). After installing all the new components they ran into problems and we felt it was necessary to call in a professional to help us diagnose. Rick from the start was very quick to get back to me and answer my questions. When he arrived, my son was so happy to see him and Rick was very kind as they talked computer language. Though the problem ended up being we were sent a bad motherboard, Rick was nice enough to teach my son a little bit more about his computer and answer questions about which products my son should go with. These guys are awesome. I sent an email mid-morning and received an instant response from Rick. We set up a time for Robert to come to my residence that afternoon. It was a great experience. My problem was a major virus had shut down my home computer. Robert diagnosed the problem and within a half hour had removed all virus, malware, trojans, and other problems from my computer. He set me up with a new firewall and anti-virus software as well as updated many of the programs on my computer. He was VERY professional, responsive and had a nice comforting demeanor. This was the second time I called Express Techs and both times were very positive experiences. The first time Robert came out, and I was sad to hear he had passed away, Yesterday, after spending all day trying to install my new Comcast Wireless Gateway with their "easy to do self instructions", I gave them a call and Rick came out today. He spent a lot of time getting rid of the multitude of viruses on my computer ( I should send half my repair bill to Norton and the other divide the other half and give it to the grandkids as their Christmas present, since they were told not to download anything). I have nothing but high praises for Rick Ferri. He made a service call the day after Thanksgiving, for my slow running computer. I originally made an appointment with the Geek Squad but they couldn't get me in until Sunday. My laptop was giving me fits all the while my anti virus program (Kapersky) was telling me all was fine. Called and got Rick who said I still may have a virus and dispatched Robert. Robert showed in under an hour from my initial phone call. Robert is the real deal, instantly he ran a number of diagnostics and reconfigured my laptop to a more efficient state of being. All the while explaining how I can do the same things with my other Windows based computers. A fix and a lesson with a successful outcome at a reasonable price. These guys are great. I've used them twice -- the first time it was complicated with viruses killing my computer and network issues, this time it was something simple. Both times I have had Rick and he has been SUPER professional, fast, efficient, and the cost has been very, very reasonable. My computer has been running fast and smooth since he worked on it the first time. This time my security software license was expiring and I called him for ideas about something cheaper and better, and he installed something cheaper very quickly using the remote log-in software, charging me a tiny fee for his time. I HATE working on computers, and each time Rick has made it as painless and quick as possible.
