Before coming in I googled a tire place and Express Tires had a lot of great reviews. I decided to take a chance as no other tire spot had raving reviews. Upon arriving there was a line but you can tell the workers were moving quick to get the line down. I went in for an oil leak. My car had no check engine light on. They claim it was already on and told me I needed a valve cover, hose, and gasket but they told me that they couldn't really check it unless they took it apart. So, how could they determine the cause of the oil leak if they didn't even check it. When I left, I rolled up my window and it almost fell off. I think they messed with it because there were finger prints on the panel and they had no business touching it. Don't go there. They are shady! Got a flat tire on my new Mazda while on the freeway, we were trying to head back to the Bay Area (SF) Sunday night, at 5 P.M., just as shops all around us were closing for the night. They took us in after 10 mins of waiting, immediately swapped the tire, and sent us on our way. I'm not sure if the tire was fully destroyed/ "out of commission" that I needed a used tire in its place, but my friends and I were grateful to be back on the road in less than 30 mins. I've been here twice, in my 2015 Toyota Camry. It definitely has its ups and downs and for different services. Their oil change was quick, solid work and it only came out to be $70 for my vehicle. Which is a pretty decent price, they also checked my tire air pressure and filled them accordingly. I definitely recommend the oil change. However, I recently went back to purchase 2 new tires for my car. My car requires 16 inch wheels and they charged my at $90 per tire, brand new, but when I did some more research on the brand of tire they put it was a tire worth $60 on various other sites like Walmart or discount tire, and so they up charged me by $30 per tire. So I could've gone somewhere else to save my money or at least get better tires for my money. So, all in all, oil changes are a great service but maybe if your gonna get NEW tires your better off at Walmart or another cheaper place. But still a decent place with decent people read more

My car got a flat tire on Wednesday, September 8, so I went to the nearest tire shop for assistance. Express tires and wheels what is the nearest before my tire went to the room. I was ignored for almost 10 minutes before they provided assistance even though there wasn't a lot of vehicles there. And within the hour I was able to replace my tire with a used one. As of last night, Friday, September 10, I now have a flat tire on that same tire that they supposedly replaced. That is ridiculous, I thought I'd be getting some assistance going to the nearest tire shop but I realize that I just need to go to where they have the best reviews and not subpar reviews from these non-professional "mechanics". So if you're in dire need of some service on your car please avoid this place like the plague, there are other car shops that will provide the best service and won't leave you with a raggedy this within a day or two. Got a flat by the LAX on a holiday and they where open and had me on my way under 30 min.

I ran over a bag of trash directly across the street, adjacent from their entrance. It got stuck underneath my car and began to burn. I didn't have anything in my car to pry it loose. I was worried that it would catch fire, or worse combust, if I continued to drive. There are absolutely no other open businesses within walking distance on the street. Most of the buildings are abandoned. I called this place as I could see their number on their sign, lights open, and plenty of people walking around. I was in a state of panic and in desperate need of their help. Whoever answered the phone insisted that they were closed and couldn't help me until tomorrow morning. I called at 7:50 they close at 8pm. I thought that maybe they didn't understand me because of the language barrier. I tried again to explain that I just needed a broom or something and I could do it myself. I told them that they wouldn't have to physically do anything. I just needed a stick of some sort. He still insists that they are closed. But I could clearly see atleast 3-4 guys just standing around. I begged and pleaded to the point of tears. He said there's nothing he can do to help me. In a moment when I needed just a bit of kindness I was shown none. Im a woman, alone at night on a busy street and still received no help. He showed no compassion. I would have even offered to pay. I say all this to say that if you are a prospective customer, you may want to rethink patronizing this place. I can't imagine that someone who lacks basic empathy would be trustworthy to help you with your car. Go somewhere else. Or if you do go, ask him if he remembers this incident and to explain why he chose not to help. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at any mechanic shop. Salvador, was a very uncooperative "Manager". He would be better off working at an "in-n-out". Since the man likes to flirt with women on the job instead of actually inputting his time and effort into helping a customer. After all, "the customer is always right" I hope there is a touch more of professionalism for the next customer. Because I am very unhappy with the "service" if you want to call it, that was provided for me. Hope you can fix your mechanic shop up, and prioritize customer's needs instead of prioritizing non-essential tasks. I tried calling to get informed about my vehicle and they ignored my calls 3 times until I called from a different phone number. Which I got an answer from right away as soon as I dialed. As if they did not want to provide service for me ? Am I not a customer ? Is my money no good? A lot of factors came through my thoughts as if it was unwelcoming behavior. As soon as this issued is resolved, I do not recommend this shop for anything but pumping air in a flat tire. read more

Cliche as it may sound, I am not the one who usually gives the worst rating but I just want people to become aware of who they should trust when it comes to their car. I know everyone has different experiences, but 1 star because due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to auto repair expecting their service to be reliable and for the owner to be more informative to their customers, they took advantage of my vulnerability and did not give me satisfactory service. To begin with, I called the day before to inquire about my car. I had stated the model, make and to be specific it's type which is a hatchback sports car because they have to order a specific type of brake for a specific type of car (now I know). The owner told me he would order it and it would be ready the next day, we set up a time for me to bring my auto in and guess what? It took them 5 hours to actually replace my brakes due to the reason being them not doing their part, got the wrong brakes so they had to return it and I was kind and patient enough to wait. After that, they had finally "got the brakes for the car" from another shop, then same thing happened and they informed me that they got the "wrong brakes". So yes within those 5 hours, we were back and forth with the wrong brakes and because I had work that day and the owner actually had promised me the day before that I'd be the only customer in the morning. Unfortunately I WAS NOT. On top of that, they had fucked up my rotors and placed the WRONG BRAKE! I hope this brings attention to the Bureau of Automotive Repair due to my concern for safety. And the worst part is that I was a customer who was willing to give them another chance to try and fix it, I had brought my car back several times within 3 months because my brakes which was suppose to be replaced was making abnormal squeaks and all they did told me was to drive it for another day and if the noise doesn't disappear, that I should come back and they still DID NOT HELP ME. Unfortunately, they took advantage of my lack of knowledge. I'm glad I was able to find another shop that I can trust and helped me order the right brakes and new rotors. read more

Even worse than I thought.....I didn't learn my lesson and trusting Ben would be back and trusting the ones left in charge I took it for this rattle noise my car was making....the "mechanic" stated it was some piece in the tire $300....left the car a day came back the next, drove the car for a few blocks the noise is still there. I couldn't leave it another day because I work so I took it back a few days later on my days off in case they needed to keep it again. He apologized, they checked it again and bam oh ok it was this, $400 more to fix... they fixed it in a few hours and when I left the shop a block away the noise is back. I took it right back this time and Bens brother said "oh that's a noise the bumper makes when it shakes" soooooo pretty much they rip me off $700 knowing that noise had nothing to do with the tires smh fast forward.......a week later took a trip with the kids to San Diego on our way back our car gives out on us with a toddler in the back seat on a Saturday afternoon all mechanics closed and will also be closed Sundays, nightmare right?.....we stayed till Monday and took it to a mechanic in San Diego. After they looked at it......Express Tires new mechanics were using plaster to put parts together NOT the cause of the car braking down but pretty much he let us know it was a lazy fix a no no. $700 and I get a cheap fix. But wait that's not all.....screw hole that pretty much helps the spark plugs in place was stripped, instead of using a skew driver they used a drill and stripped it. Needed to be replaced now $400 from a dealer took it back to their shop and told them I needed that replaced because they broke it....ok $300 to fix.....thanks for the $100 discount on something they broke...no doubt this new crew are scammers and are looking to rip ppl off shame it was such a great trust worthy place once upon of time. read more

This tires shop sold me four tires for $120 didn't give me my receipt or the nug key for the tires . They stripped one of the nugs on my tire after over tightening it. The VERY NEXT DAY MY TIRE BLEW OUT ON THE FREEWAY on my way to work. When I asked my parents to stop by the shop because I still had to go to work they acted dumb like I never went there the previous day. Worst service ever! I would not recommend. my husband has been going to this shop for years!! they do a great job all the time! all the workers are great! this past weekend i was picking up my car that was fixed.. the owner of the shop had told my husband $120.. well long story short the owner hasn't been there so his brother was left in charger.. it sucks that he tried BS-ing my husband and try charging $400 for a job that was $120.. he obviously tried to rip him off.. he then made a fake phone call when my husband reacted to his price.. not knowing that my husband knows about cars n knows an average of how much it cost.. he never made a call and just said "okay if my bro said $120 that's the least i can charge you" so from $400 he dropped it back to $120.. insane right!! sucks that one guy can damage a whole business.. all their workers are great! specially one that he always goes to he always has great service!! my husband will continue to support he said although one person can ruined everything he doesn't blame the owner nor the workers except for the owners bro!! he tried to get his hussle but didn't worked out!! please be careful when quoted prices.. this guy will say they did extra stuff when in reality has nothing to do with the part that got fixed!! also they didn't give me my remaining coolant that i took lol!! they were using it on a van that needed coolant lol smh! i didn't want to make a big deal but what a shame!! read more
