When we called and told them we were going to come get him they said oh that's not a good idea. They just basically wanted more money from us and we're not a bit concerned about my cat. She was eight years old and was diagnosed with Diabetes. I did everything I could for her, but in the end I had to have her euthanized. Dr. Rob explained the procedure and said that after the initial injection she wouldn't recognize me, or anything else. He said she would feel a sting with the first injection, but that's not what happened.She screamed bloody murder and lunged at Dr. Rob, and the tech. They quickly left the room. He also told me that once he gave her the shot she would know me or anything. After he left she stood up and looked at me. What should have been a peaceful death turned into a nightmare. She was terrified and looked to me for help, but all I could do is comfort her. About twenty minutes Dr. Rob came in and said, "It looks like she needs another shot". Twenty minutes that Maggie had to suffer. After a few minutes she laid down facing me. Her blue eye was spinning in circles. That did me in. Then Dr. Rob walked in to give her the final shot. I wanted to scream at him for what he did to my girl. He never apologized. It was business as usual. I went home and cried my eyes out. I felt so ashamed of myself for bringing her there. A week later I ran into a woman who was a retired veterinarian from a different practice. She was shopping at Publix with a friend who took her dog to East Cherokee Veterinarian Clinic. Both of them were shocked when I told them my story, especially the one who takes her dog to that clinic. I hope no other dog or cat has to suffer like Maggie did. I found another veterinarian clinic to take my other dog to. So far so good. I really like everyone that works there, and it's not so hectic when you walk in the door. The Vet gave Bosco a complete exam and said she would email the results. I needed a vet who was compassionate and understood what I was going through. Not some selfish, self-centered man who couldn't care less! He was just going through the motions.

Me: I recently moved here and do not have an established veterinarian. My 14 year old Weimaraner fell and his hip has appeared to have failed and needs to be put down. Staff member : ok Other Staff member that hung up phone: sorry sir. We are not taking new patients and here are two names of other vets that you can see if they can assist. Good luck! Me: shocked, baffled, "proceeds to walk out" I do not give business reviews normally because everyone has a bad day. I sure hope this staff member in the future listens and provides empathy and a possible solution for an emergency need. I'm sure this is a great place that loves all animals but today it sure did not feel that way.... Both reviews start saying that the doctors are "great" and "amazing" but they have an issue with the front desk or cost of meds. Where are these people's 5 star reviews of these doctors they call amazing and great? They are quick to throw out 1 star for other reasons but don't have the time of day to appreciate these vets.

My dog has very long nails and at that point the time to trim them short is when he's under anesthesia because they bleed and I didn't want him in pain. I contacted the vet office and asked them about cleaning his teeth (requires anesthesia) and trimming his nails short. I was assured both of these could happen. 1) I asked the staff to call me back with an estimate for the anesthesia, nail trim and teeth cleaning. The staff failed to do this. 2) Later I get an email asking for a deposit for the procedure, I paid the deposit. 3) The day I took him in for the procedure, I reiterated to the vet staff out front that I wanted his nails trimmed short.. She assured me the vet would be notified, they could do this. Big mistake trusting that. 4) I come in later to pick him up, they hand me a bill for over $1200 and his nails had barely been touched. They even charged me for the nail trim which you couldn't even tell. I was pissed, I asked why they didn't do what I had asked while he was sleeping, the tech had the nerve to say "We didn't want to see him bleed". So $1200 later they failed to trim his nails down when it wouldn't have caused him as much or any pain because the tech didn't want to see blood.. Then I see on the discharge form they wrote that "He has always had long nails". I wouldn't trust them to do anything they say unless you pull the Vet out in the lobby and talk to her directly. Does the vet care about pets, yes she does. The problem is you don't get to talk to the vet, you have to deal with the techs and they will say anything to get you to shell out a lot of money.
