Worst customer service. Went in there a few days ago, walked around for approximately twenty minutes, no help . At one point, one sales rep walk by and another looked me straight in the eye and never ask if I needed assistance in finding what I was looking for. I Even had two shirts in my hand ready to pay . Just returned a shirt at this location. Didn't even take out the shirt from the bag or looked at it when I got home. I had changed my mind and decided to return it because of the price. The blond girl at the register asked me if I washed the shirt because it was wrinkled and I told her I didn't. Looked like she didn't believe me and marked the shirt as defective anyway and looked very annoyed. Didn't feel like I had to explain myself. Obviously all the tags were there, how do I wash the shirt with the tags still intact. There was nothing wrong with the shirt, it was just wrinkled. This is actually how the cashier shoved it in when I bought it. There is always a better way to go around this without making assumptions. This is not how customer service should be. read more

This Express store has the worst wait time. The manager walks around saying will be right with but doesn't stop in to help her staff. Great staff, knowledgeable, and took their time to recommend products fit for me and not just trying to upsell. (Sorry for any misspelled names) Juvy* was great in helping me figure out my size and product I wanted. I did have to return when the cut of the shirts were different than the ones I tried on (no one's fault) and Michelle* helped me find exactly what I needed without any hesitation. Express is located on Level 1 near Wetzels Pretzels and Macy's. It's relatively new and much smaller than its previous location on the second level. Most Express stores are much larger than this one, but I'm just grateful that there still IS an Express at this mall. Anyway, I have to be honest and say that the service could use a little improvement. On a pretty slow Thursday afternoon, I was waiting in line for about 10 minutes while one cashier processed one transaction and the other was on the phone. There were also about 3 people behind me. Now, I know I'm not Queen of Sunshine, Sprinkles, and all things giddy, but a smile wouldn't hurt! I've been here before and SOME of the employees are really nice; others, not so much. Overall, this isn't my favorite location but it's okay. I'd recommend going to Brea instead if you have the time. read more

I'm not sure if Express enjoys hiring the rudest staff or the management at literally every store, apart from the one in Ala Moana, just sucks. Obviously the workers missed the job title which is customer service associate or sales associate. With that being said, I NEVER get any help anytime I go in to any of your stores. I don't even get a hello. Your sales people are usually talking amongst themselves or hiding behind clothing racks texting. I seriously come here maybe once every couple of years to see if your customer service has improved. I'm not surprised to see that it has not. Maybe you should update your orientation videos so your sales team can get a clue. read more

a little surprised this location has such a low review. i came to return 3 items i had bought online during their annual 40% off sale. the cashier noted that i had bought these at the 40% off discount and said i could pick 3 items in the store and she'd give me 40% off for them right there. LOVELY!!!! the thing about shopping online is that i never am sure if it'll fit properly or if the color is an honest depiction. a little nerve racking as my lunch break was ticking away but i managed to find 2 tops that i liked, got my 40% off and some money back. the store has some areas that are a little cramped and you have to wait a little but all the associates were very friendly and helpful. read more

I have been a regular and loyal customer at this particular Express for 12 years, and have never had such horrible customer service until last Thursday night on 2/16/17. I work odd hours, so I'll usually stop by Express to shop when it's convenient for me. Occasionally there will be a sale a few days after I've made my purchase, so I'll go back and get an exchange for the sale price. For the past several years I have been able to return my clothes and rebuy them for the sale price without any problems or questions asked, and the staff will allow me to re-use my Express rewards with the sale price. That night, however, I went up to the register to do what I've been doing for years, and have never been treated so rudely by any associate there. I walked up to the register with my Express bag from a purchase 5 days ago, and the associate LILY immediately gave me an irritated expression before I had said anything. I had asked if I could exchange my purchase from 5 days ago to the sale price, and she immediately said no. Seriously? Express has a 90 day return policy... and you're saying I can't exchange my purchase? Not only did she refuse to exchange my purchase, she advised me that I wasn't allowed to reuse my rewards even if I'm only exchanging my items. I wasn't asking her if I could reuse my coupons... I was asking that I use the rewards I earned. I confirmed with headquarters that the policy is that if you make an exchange or return for the same exact items, you can reuse your rewards as it'll be refunded to your account. Lily needs to be retrained and improve her customer service skills. Either that, or be working in the back doing inventory. I know this was only one incident, but being treated extremely rudely to this extent makes me hesitant on returning to this particular Express ever again. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! i have been going to this store for more years then i can count, but recently the service has been so terrible. All of a sudden they have these lil teenagers working in their that don't know how to do anything except scroll on their apple watches!!! I use to walk into this store and always felt like i was being helped to the fullest extent, but not anymore. some girl name Allie? was working the last time i went in and she was so rude i asked her a simple question and she looked at me like i was wasting her time. sorry if you actually got asked to do your job. and lately i noticed they never have enough people ringing up customers and the store manager just walks by constantly saying "we will be right with you" well instead of walking around doing nothing why don't you help your line. i will NEVER shop at this location again, I'll take my business to Santa Anita or Brea Express where the associates and managers actually care read more

Came to this store for my husband and Anthony was awesome. He greeted me right away, offered to help me look for a size, let me know about sales. Then the cashier had no facial expressions and was just very dry. Then as I walked out, there was a friendly smile from Anthony telling me to have a nice day. I have never experienced an issue with Express until now, after almost 6 years of having a credit card with them....Went in yesterday for a simple online to in store return. Item was $75, of which $55 was charged to my Express A-List Card and $20 to a gift card. I was however shortchanged on the gift card after the return was processed and only refunded $12 which made absolutely no sense. Spoke with the 'Manager' regarding the issue, which must have watched one too many episodes of Sherlock Holmes because she began interrogating me as to where I received the $20 gift card. I kindly let her know that it was sent to me by the Express Credit Card company as a promotional offer. To which the detective replied verbatim, "uhh that sounds really suspicious, I have never heard of anything like that happening, are you sure???" I than repeated that it was a promo by the Express CC company and she and the register girl stared at me as if I was pulling a fast one on them. She than asked if the $20 gift card I used was actually a promotional discount. I again repeated that it was a gift card, as if I do not know the difference between a gift card or discount. Why would I be refunded a $12 promotional discount to a gift card?....Elementary my dear. All the while the Manager is speaking loud in front of everyone while people are staring, making me look like I don't know what I am talking about. I asked the Manager if she could call the Express card company to clear this up, she said I would have to call them and deal with it myself. Throughout the entire conversation, the Manger would repeatedly cut me off or speak over me when I tried to explain things. I also explained that the shipping cost I was charged should be refunded to me because I am an A-List member and we get free shipping on ALL orders. She said it wasn't true and that shipping is never refunded for any reason, you might want to check the Express site and look that over my dear... Ultimately this is what happens when you have a Manager who gets paid $9.25 an hour to deal with people who spend a few hundred dollars a visit in your store. I called the Express customer service line right after leaving the store and the rep over the phone confirmed exactly what I said to the Manager and transferred me to customer relations to get it squared away. If people did their job right the first time, there wouldn't be nonsense issues like this happening. read more

No one helped or greeted me. I asked where I could try on some clothes but the girl just said "actually, the fitting rooms are on the other side" and went back to her go backs. I went to the fitting room but they were all locked. All the other employees looked at me but still didn't help! I went in this afternoon, and we were treated horribly. We were not acknowledged by the many employees who were standing around doing nothing, and I had to hunt an employee down to ask about a size. This was a Saturday afternoon, and the store was empty while the rest of the mall was jam-packed with shoppers. Even after asking her about the size, all she said was that they only had what was out on the table. She made no effort to check stock in back, or to check if another store had item in stock. This was not a sale or clearance item but $80.00 black Columnist pants. When I mentioned the poor service, she just looked at me as if I was an alien species. She then proceeded to speak poorly about me with her co-workers. I will never go back to this location, and would urge others to do the same. You should check out Express in Montclair or Rancho Cucamonga instead. I would give 0 stars if I could! read more
