We first worked with Rick 6+ years ago when we moved into our home. He installed shutters in our bedrooms and office, and they've held up beautifully. I remembered how professional and on top of everything he was, so I reached out again when we needed blinds for our bedroom. Jeremy and Parker came out for measurements and made the whole process incredibly easy. They walked us through options, gave thoughtful suggestions, and provided an estimate. All in about 10-15 minutes. About two weeks later, they returned for installation and were done in under 5 minutes. Everything was seamless. The best part is how it turned out. It's exactly what we envisioned, if not better. We now have automated blinds in our bay window that give us privacy while still letting in light, and they look so clean in person. They even upgraded us to a system without a visible battery pack, which made a big difference aesthetically. Truly some of the best in the industry. Friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. The time frame of one month that we were given turned into 2 and half months. 2. Nowhere on the order was noted that we have a high ceiling, the same person who did measurement came to install and realized that he needs a large ladder that was in a big truck which was in the accident the day before. 3. He left and came back in a few hours and was able to fit a big ladder into smaller truck. 4. It took him a long time to learn how the system works, basically he read the manual here saying that he never installed that particular system. It took him 3 hours and he still has not finished installing even one skylight. 5. When I called Ed, he tried to blame me for not being sympathetic to the fact that car was in the accident (instead of apologizing to me for NOT rescheduling the appointment and training his technicians on how to install the system that was ordered by his company's representative) , he interrupted me very often and finally said that I acted hostile. Talking about great customer skills from the owner. 5. The installer came again, spent another 3 hours (total of 7 hours for 2 days instead of 2.5 that was promised). When he left, there were screws on the floor, plaster, and the bottle water half filled. Everything was super unprofessional and do yourself a favor to take your business somewhere else.

Pre track install I installed and shimmed level hard wood boards so that when the installer came back out to install the new metal tracks there would be no issue with leveling or a need for them to shim as they use shims between the metal track and mdf board which does not leave the best looking end result. I appreciate CIP's attempt to make it right however my overall experience is still a 3 star (Ok) and not a five star (Great) experience.
