As you can tell I don't post often. But this was bad enough that I took the time to do so. The worst interaction I have ever had with a florist over the phone or in person. I had ordered a peonies arrangement for Mother's Day through Telefora and expressions was the local florist that was used to fulfill the order. What arrived was an ugly bunch of leftover looking flowers in a vase. I paid over $120 for my order and this looked to cost at most $40. My wife called me over since she knew I had ordered a peonies arrangement and not a bunch of weeds in a water jar. I politely told the delivery man (who was perfectly reasonable) that this was not I ordered. He used my phone to call the shop and was told that was the order they had for me and asked if I would like to speak to Linda, presumably the store manager. Linda was rude and kept telling me that she received a order from Telefora for the "florist's choice" arrangement. This evidently allowed her to use the leftovers from her shop to hastily arrange something for my wife for Mother's Day. She repeated that this was not her fault and she couldn't do anything about it. She told me to work it out with Telefora since that's who I paid. I asked her if she was a vendor for them and if she was paid for my order by them. She said yes but that she receives a very very small percentage. The ugly flowers plus her even uglier attitude motivated me to write this review. So instead of giving my wife flowers that I knew she had wanted i was on the phone for 1 hour to get my money back from Telefora and making sure expressions was given a negative review by me both here and with them. Linda, even if Telefora messes up the order to you, your response should not be one that is defensive and blame shift. Telefora may have messed up but your interaction with me could have at least left me with a good impression of how you handle your business. Instead your crappy attitude and ugly floral arrangement (florist's choice!) resulted in me complaining to both Telefora and yelp. Btw If you ever receive the wrong item/flowers from a transaction like this please refuse delivery. Because I did I was able to receive a full refund. read more

I'm a flower queen! I know good flowers and bad ones! My go to shop is Flowers of Orange on Chapman but sometimes when I'm on the other side of town and want to bring flowers to brighten up someone's day I always wished for a GOOD , QUALITY flower shop. I'm kicking myself because I've past this flower shop 1,000 times driving to Brea Mall and from going to the doctors office! It's right on the corner which makes it easy to get to. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted! This shop has a good selection of flowers in their coolers! Already in a vase which makes it easier and unique flowers ! The woman that owns it is very nice and friendly which a bonus for first time customers like ourselves! I'll definitely come back when I'm on this side of town for sure! ^_^ read more

Expressions Florist forgot to deliver the flowers I ordered for my mom on Mother's Day... I'm in college and live out of state so I was depending on a local flower shop. I remember calling my mom in the morning and telling her to check for a delivery, and she was so excited. But by the end of the day, I got a sad text saying she never got it. Warning to all customers!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT bring your business to this establishment. The owner as well as the employees do not know the meaning of customer service. You would imagine since they are in the service business. Yes I understanding it's mother's day however order was placed a week before, called to confirmed, was told the arrangement was completed and ready for pick up. When I arrived, the acknowledged that they do NOT have it and asked me what do I want to do? What kind of a question is this? She asked me to leave and not offer any solution. I placed an order in person for a corsage for my mother for Mother's Day. I specifically asked for a pin on corsage, confirmed with the salesperson that it was a pin on and asked for it to be ready by 9am. I called just after 9am the day I was to pick it up and was told that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later and picked it up. My mistake was not checking to make sure that it was a pin on. Well, it wasn't; it was a wrist corsage. When I called Expressions and told them of the mistake, the reply was "No problem we can easily fix it ." Not "I apologize for our mistake". I told them that I didn't have time to bring it back to be fixed. And I reminded them that the corsage wasn't ready by 9am as ordered. Her reply was "Well we're really busy here". So I told her that I didn't care, the order was wrong and she said "Thanks for calling" and hung up on me. Clearly customer service is meaningless to them. I truly don't know how they've stayed in business for all of these years. This is not an exception to my experience there but the norm. I've finally placed my last order at this place. read more

I went here to get some roses for my anniversary. This time of the year is busy for many florists. Despite this, I feel like the service was rushed and the quality of their product suffered in my eyes. I think it was pretty apparent to those working that I was not satisfied with the end product. Regardless, I got the impression from the staff that there wasn't much they could or wanted to do. I did a little altering to the rose display myself and think it helped out. I have been here a few times because the location is convenient. I've always left slightly disappointed with the selection and price. The arrangements seem dated and there isn't a lot of variety. The last time I was so disappointed in the flowers that I settled on a potted plant. I guess this is what happens when you wait until the last minute and are in a pinch. I ordered my sisters lei for her high school graduation a month in advance. I got a call 2 days before saying they no longer had the purple and white available and only purple, white, or burgundy and white. We said the burgundy and white would be nice so I went to go pick it up and what am I given? A dead lei with mold on it. I spoke to the owner about this 2 or 3 days later and all she could say was that they didnt get enough in, or hers in, or some weird story. She also told me the lei was from the week before and the fact that they didnt bother telling me that and left me with 20 minutes to find her a new lei somewhere is so unprofessional. She had also mentioned how she normally makes the calls when they dont have a product, but she was too busy with stuff and it was her birthday, so she had one of the girls do it. While thats great and all, you're still running a business. Id like to add that before the owner called me back, I had called earlier that day and was told the owner left and the girl asked to put me on hold. Well, she didnt and I heard everything. The owner was still there and was talking crap on the situation with me. I mean seriously, Im not even mad at the girl that thought she put me on hold, but more with the owner for being so unprofessional knowing I was on the phone and waiting to call me 3 1/2 hours later. If you order anything from here, just be prepared and have a backup plan just incase. read more

This is the second or third time that I've been disappointed with my floral arrangement from Expressions. This time (Valentines Day) my arrangement of tulips look like they were stuffed into the narrow vase by anyone, not a florist or a designer. There is absolutely no width or bulk to the arrangement at all. The flowers and "fillers" stand straight up and it is very, very boring looking. I took the arrangement apart and was going to fix it myself, but there are almost no stems to the filler pieces, so there is nothing that can be done other than shove them way down to the rim of the vase in order for them to reach the water, and again it turns out looking the same. I know I should call to complain, but after this happening a few times you just come to the conclusion that the service is poor and they don't really care about their quality. And the last time I complained it took a while to get a response and although they replaced my arrangement, it was sub-par just like the first time. Time for a new florist! Most of the staffs are friendly, but the quality of the flowers and workmanship are poor during their busy season (I.e. homecoming, winter formal, prom). They don't seem to care about customer's experience either. When I shared how we were unhappy about the way the corsage and boutonnière turned out, they gave bunch of excuses that they had a lot of orders and worst yet, they blamed it on us for picking the flowers?!?! Granted it was three hours before the event, we felt stuck with what we have. But they didn't offer any compensation or anything. They shouldn't take high schoolers' business for granted like this. "Shooshing" people away in person and on the phone with excuses do not get return business. Fixing the problem or compensating does. read more

My mom had just passed away and the service had to be put together quickly. My moms favorite flower was tulips and they didn't have any. We ordered other flowers and paid over a $100 which was totally fine for what we got but I really needed tulips so I ran to the grocery store bought tulips and wet back to expressions and asked if they would please help me out and put a little arrangement together. The girl at the front desk was sweet and said sure and the manager came stomping out of her office and said no we don't do that. I tried explaining what was going on and she just kept saying no, nope doesn't matter. Here I am so upset about my moms passing as so excited to find my moms favorite flowers and this woman is being just so rude. She wasn't even nice about it. I finally said " I'm not asking for a discount I will pay for a small arrangement I just want the tulips dressed up with some babies breath and greenery to put by my moms grave. She said fine took them out of my hand and said to come back in an hour. When I came back to pick them up and went to pay for them I realized she charged me for one of her larger extravagant arrangements that my sister had bought earlier that day for $60. All the arrangement she put together for me included was a small glass vase, my 20 tulips I bought at stater bros and some greenery with babies breath. It's one thing to be so rude and talk to me the way she did but to then charge me $59.99 for that, really blew me away. I'm in the customer service industry and would never treat clients that way. I really do like this florist compared to other places but they do lack in customer service by email. Their prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection. My biggest gripe with this company is that they don't have any communication by email. Even though you can make purchases online and they send you email confirmations they do not respond to any emails. Even though their website states you can communicate by email, they don't. Don't put it on your site if you don't plan to respond. Yes, they do provide customer service by phone but most of the time this doesn't work for me and it's easier for me to communicate by email. read more
