Amazing BBQ for a great price! The store is fairly small... you place your order at the front window and there is some outdoor seating out front and in the back (shaded, fortunately). The menu is surprisingly large, but I stuck with the combo meals to get an overall feel for the restaurant. Despite humble appearances, the place really delivers on food. Flavorful pork and chicken sandwiches that overwhelm the bun, hot savory macaroni, and fresh cut "boardwalk" style fries. The huge portion of food I got for ten dollars was delicious. Not too many BBQ sauces or fixings, but overall, I was really satisfied with the place. I'm not a barbeque connoisseur by any means, but this was definitely one of the better restaurants that I've tried. I just got food from here for myself, my wife and kid. The kid's chicken nuggets were fine, but my ribs were burnt and the regular fries were wet and floppy. My wife's pork sandwich bland and dry. Don't go there!! The place is dirty and cross contamination is a serious problem there. Blood is in the freezer and fridge where they store the food,nothing is fresh,staff is rude and that's why their business in Glen Burnie called bbq blues and seafood failed.i have a friend who was a chef for 20+ years and he left because he was worried that the place would close for good and he would be out of a job so he went to work somewhere else. Have eaten here twice, and will eat here again. The BBQ pulled pork might be the best I've ever had. It is carefully balanced...not too sloppy & not too dry. I was craving a hot dog and fries, and once I found the chilli,cheese footlong on the menu, I was sold. So footlong and large fries was the order of the day. Understanding that it was the middle of the day, there was no que, but service was slow! My badd, should have checked the bag before leaving the window, but in a hurry, got order (what I thought was my food) and left. Roadside BBQ ready in minutes (this is a roadside shack, order at the window to go with some outdoor seating). I ordered the pit beef sandwich, with cole slaw and mac and cheese. The beef was moist and delicious, sliced just right. The roll was fresh and soft. The cole slaw was sweet and crunchy, just the way I like it. The mac and cheese didn't thrill me. It had more of a processed taste rather than the taste of cheesy homemade goodness, but the kids enjoyed it...enough said. The staff was also very friendly and quick to deliver. great pit beef and pit turkey. a lot of BBQ variety, and very helpful staff that will make any item custom (within reason). they give a ton of food that's made to order, so plan to wait 15-20 minutes. they also have snowballs which are a big hit with kids. read more

Apparently, people come to pit beef carryouts and order wings and burgers? Who knew? If you don't want pit beef, I suggest you keep driving. Ordered mine medium rare and guess what? It's medium rare! If only more steakhouses knew what that meant. Perfectly seasoned, sliced thin, big beefy taste. I usually have mine plain, but this time around I had it Baltimore style with a slice of raw onion and horseradish. Everything an Arby's roast beef sandwich isn't. Whoever is manning the fryer knows what they're doing. Fresh cut fries that put Five Guys to shame. Perfect. I prefer Carolina vinegar slaw; this stuff is chopped too fine and too milky for my tastes. About the worst you could say is they're using potato rolls instead of kaiser, but I'll let that slide because pit beef this good outside Baltimore is as rare as hen's teeth. Speaking of hens, if you order chicken or turkey here, you're out of your mind. Is this a pit chicken place? A pit turkey place? No, it's beef. Stick with that and you'll do fine. read more

Walked over for the first time and got the Pit Ham with the coleslaw, fries, baked beans and fries. The Pit Ham was amazing!!!! Highly recommend. The fries and baked beans were good. But I would not recommend the coleslaw. Was very plain and watery. Customer service was great and food was quick. read more

We moved to Odenton several years ago and tried to support local businesses by trying the local restaurants. We ate at Expressway Pit Beef several times. In general, we found that the food is bland and the service is slow. There is no indoor seating and the picnic table area isn't always very clean. My son likes their collard greens but, other than that, we didn't find the food to be very good. There are lots of better places to eat so we haven't been back in a while. read more

I expected a lot better after some of these reviews. My husband got a pork sandwich which was fine but not anything amazing. He also got some ribs that were chewy and stringy. My kids and I got hamburgers that were burnt to a crisp. They were gross, dry charred things. They forgot to give us one order of fries but except for wasting money that's fine because they were not good anyway. I also got a side of mash potatoes and they tasted like they were made from instant. The kid at the window wasn't pleasant either. Read one of the other reviews stating this place had the best cheeseburger in town. I just finished it and I can safely say it was the worst burger I have ever had in my life. First off I called in the order and when I showed up at the window the kids working looked like they hadn't started my order yet. Not a huge deal, so I just waited in my car. The kid who gave me my food referred to me as "boss" and apologized for the long wait. I wasn't upset about it until I tasted the first bite. The only thing on the burger was the cheese that I ordered. I guess it's my fault for assuming they add standard toppings to make the burger good. The girl taking my order didn't ask me what toppings I wanted so again, I guess I should have told them. Anyway, it was burnt to a crisp and tasted god awful. I've also had the pit beef here which was okay at best and the foot long hot dog which if I remember correctly was just two hot dogs thrown in a bag.
