It doesn't look like much, but man, it tastes so goooood! The bread had a nice little crunch to it when biting in, and everything in the sandwich went together very well :) we sat outside after getting our order fairly quickly. I had a lunch meeting at Pepperjacks a couple days ago. My colleague was pleased but I was disappointed. I've been to both locations multiple times but I'm wondering if the quality control or consistency is slipping at AJ. My food: Reuben, fries, and an Oreo shake. The shake was great to the last slurp! It had plenty of Oreo cookies crumbled in it. Most of them fit in the big straw but it was also fun spooning out cookie chunks at the end. The fries were hot, fresh, and plentiful (as always). Just a note that they serve your fries in an overflowing cup. The regular is plenty for the average diner, but I got the large because I really like French fries. :-) Don't tell anyone but I enjoy them with vinegar and ketchup. :-o The Reuben let me down. The corned beef was a little bland. It was clumped in the middle of the bread, which makes the bread soggy and means you don't get beef in every bite. Similarly, the sauerkraut wasn't evenly spread out. Lastly, there wasn't enough dressing. I was shocked by my disappointment! Fries are easy. Shakes are easy. I go to a sandwich place for the sandwiches. The four stars is based on historical evidence because this time might have been a fluke. I'll go back to Pepperjacks again and update my review if anything changes. read more

Whenever my job has a luncheon for the management team, they order from Pepperjacks. While I had never tasted their food until my personal visit, I always hear management raving about the food, so I finally decided to try them for myself. My experience was pretty decent. The inside of the restaurant has an industrial feel. Exposed ceilings, concrete flooring, I even saw what appeared to be a garage door. It is clean and spacious, with plenty of room for social distancing. The menu is small and pretty start forward. The prices are reasonable, compared to other sub shops. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sub. ( I can't have my phone inside my of my job so I didn't get a picture ) The flavor was good, but the bread of quite thick and overwhelmed the taste of the sub. The Broadway fries were amazing, but similar to Five Guys, they give you entirely too many as if they want you to fill up from them rather than the sub. All and all, the food was decent and affordable. I will return to try other items and update my review accordingly. If you don't take any else from my review, just know, the fries as a must!! read more

I had a regular club $9... it was tasty, it was reasonably crafted, it just was not worth $9 (not my money). Great little sandwich spot near Jessup/Odenton area. Pretty standard menu for a sub shop but some awesome specials/ "sandwich of the day". The cashier was very friendly and provided good suggestions. Highly recommend the Santa Fe sandwich, the southwest sauce is delicious. Sandwiches are prices very reasonably for the area ($9-10) too!! Tried some of their baked goods and the brownies were also awesome. Definitely worth a visit for lunch. read more

It's been a while but they've really taken over...literally. They own the Coffeehouse next door for breakfast and Notch 8 brewery for BBQ/beer in the evening. For lunch, I had got the Santa Fe chicken sub and it was great. Tons of chicken, bacon, spicy sauce, on their great bread. My wife and I ordered sandwiches and fries from this place and ate immediately outside on their patio area. The fries came in a bucket and as we were eating we found several fries that had dead bugs on them!!! This isn't a case of bugs landing on the fries while we're eating outside. These bugs are DEEP FRIED onto the Fries! Yuck! So unsanitary!!! We didn't finish our meal and left in disgust. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant looked clean and had a good energy. We ordered at their electronic kiosk which made things easy. The worker got my food out within 10 minutes and it tasted DELICIOUS. I got a cookie dough milkshake and a bbq chicken sub and it was so good!!! I went here to try something new and got the veggie burger sandwich and the cashier suggested the banana pie milkshake. The sandwich was good, but the milkshake was delicious! I went back again two days later for another milkshake - this time I tried the peanut butter shake and it did not disappoint. Sandwiches are great! Loaded up and heavy. The bread is excellent, too. So far, the tuna melt is my fave...lots of tuna, perfect amount of bacon and cheese. My only gripe is the rewards program. Beware ordering online because there's no way to get credit for your purchase towards the rewards program. I've ordered lots of sandwiches online for convenience, but they're not set up to scan your code when you pick up (no points for me :) ). Pepperjack's takes me back to a time when I was 10 years old before the land in my neighborhood changed due to new development. I used to walk there crossing over streams and fields with all of my neighborhood friends just to get yummy milkshakes, hot (fresh bread) sandwiches and french fries! If you're a believer in "you get what you pay for"then this stop will be well worth your time (and money). Full-size (12-inch) subs are $11, though the regular size is adequate for most and is typically around $8. I've tried many of the subs here, with the French dip being my favorite but far; it's unfortunate it was a limited time special and is typically not on the menu. I'd suggest you stay away from the chicken, anything with beef or bacon is out of this world, and do yourself a favor, get the fries! read more

The Reuben was great as was corned beef melt. Bread can make or break the sandwich. Both were made with great bread that was fresh. Ordered a side of fries. Not just any, but the bucket just so I can say I'll have a bucket of fries. Fries were good and are just what you'd expect from boardwalk fries.
