This is Gino's totally reimagined. With the exception of the Gino giant it's totally different from the Gino's that you remember from the 60s and 70s. However I must say some of the changes are worth mentioning. There are so many flavors of milkshakes there's no way that you would run out of choices. But burger prices tend to be high at $4.44 for a thin hamburger with ketchup relish lettuce and tomato. The roll was too big and dense for the hamburger as the patty only filled about 2/3 of the roll. So you are left with a lot of bread and no burger. They do also now offer fried shrimp so there are alternatives to burgers. A positive note - on the five or six visits I have had the staff is always very friendly and the orders are accurate.

Since pandemic drive through only. Miss the atmosphere however, the food is still great. I try to get the classic burger meal with onion rings and sauce when I am in the area. I enjoy the milk shake with whipped cream and a fat cherry on top. Really need to stop ordering the milk shakes. Too good, too filling. I will continue to support this business. Hope you will too.

The food is good, don't get me wrong but the reason it gets a 1 star is the owners attitude and down right rude manner.

We stopped in at The Grill off Quarterfield Road, and right away the service stood out -- friendly,…read moreattentive, and on point even with the weekend crowd. You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days. Good service, good food, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat. We'll definitely be back!!!

I recommend making a reservation if you're coming on a weekend morning. They had beignets as a special and those were tasty. A little crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside with powdered sugar on top. I ordered the corned beef hash and it was ok. Service was lackluster. We did not see our waitress after the food arrived and had to flag someone down to ask for the check. There was no butter in the table for toast- we asked a food runner in lieu of the waitress but did not get it.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue. Waitstaff dresses very casually, it pleasant and fairly attentive.

Pulled up to Bahama Mike's Seafood on a regular weeknight, and first impressions absolutely matter…read more The place was spotless. And I mean spotless. If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.
