When I tell you this is the best bakery in all of Coachella Valley, I am not exaggerating! Samantha, Jeanette, and their incredible team at Exquisite Desserts are beyond talented--truly gifted in the art of baking. Every creation, from stunning tiered cakes to delicate pastries and irresistible small bites, is crafted to perfection. And let me just take a moment to rave about one of my absolute favorites--a small bite that tastes like pure chocolate fudge bliss, layered with caramel. OMG. When I tell you it feels like heaven as you take that first bite, close your eyes, and savor the moment--I mean it!

If you're looking for any type of cakes, desserts, or sweet treats, don't even hesitate. Exquisite Desserts will take care of you and deliver something beyond your expectations. Highly, highly recommend!

Cakes for a his/hers birthday party I recently hosted. The execution of my concept was perfect. The cakes were beautiful and delicious!

Son's Wedding 11/16/25 The wedding cake was delicious and beautiful. The cake was fluffy and the raspberry and vanilla mousse filling yummy. We received compliments from everyone. The mini tarts and deserts were also spectacular. I give you a "10 star" rating for your skill and artistry. Thank you so much for making this day special.

Exquisite Desserts created the most stunning and delicious cake for my husband's 80th birthday celebration we recently held in Palm Springs, and it absolutely exceeded every expectation. The design was elegant and beautifully crafted based on an inspiration photo provided --truly a work of art that became the centerpiece. We chose devils food chocolate with strawberry mousse filling, and Italian buttercream frosting. The flavors were exceptional: moist, balanced, and clearly made with care and high‑quality ingredients. Would highly recommend them for any occasion.

I have to say this was not only one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever ordered, but their customer service is above and beyond what I could have expected. They were so kind and so thorough, checked in before our event to make sure that everything would come out perfectly. We had some unexpected delays that made us late and they were nice enough to stay past close so that we could pick up our cake for our event that evening. read more

The most beautiful cake was designed for my Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary! It was unbelievably good. Chocolate cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream on the outside. I sent a few pictures of what I had in mind for the design, and left the rest to the wonderful people at Exquisite Desserts. I'm so glad I did! I had so many compliments from guests about the design and taste of the cake and had multiple people say it was the best cake they had ever tasted. I definitely agree, it tasted amazing! I would recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a custom cake or baked goods. They were very easy to work with and the end result was more than I could've ever imagined. read more

Went in today right before lunchtime (work right around the corner at the Physical Therapy clinic) to see if they could whip up a large fruit tart for a luncheon that was going to be for noon. Knowing that they would most likely be busy with other orders, I was leaning on grabbing some small desserts. The ladies however were able to make me one and squeeze me into their right schedule. We hired Exquisite Dessert bakery to make our parents 50th wedding anniversary cake and we were very pleased with the quality and taste of the cake they served us & our guests. Samantha and Janette were very friendly and accomadating with us in picking the taste and design of our buttercream chiffon with fresh strawberry filing three tier cake. What an amazing experience! We're not from Palm Dessert but rented a house there for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. My husband forgot to order the cake in advance, but called them the day before to place the order. Not only were they able to accommodate our request, they gave us exactly what we wanted! I called Exquisite Desserts somewhat last minute before my wife's 30th birthday and they were able to make a beautiful cake with a very intricate designs and best of all it tasted amazing. They had roughly ONE DAY! It made her birthday and I can't recommend them enough. read more

Exquisite Desserts did an amazing job with the cake we ordered for our Palm Springs wedding on 1/06/2018. We were last minute ordering a cake, and caught them over the holidays, but are so pleased it worked out! We went with chocolate cake with hazelnut frosting, and it was absolutely delicious (even tastier than the samples). The whole cake was eaten at the wedding, and that was after everyone had had a huge meal. I had requested a succulent design (picture is uploaded), and was so impressed with the job they did. It was a beautiful cake. I also ordered 6 gluten free cupcakes, which received rave reviews. It was also very helpful to be able to rent a cake stand last minute! Thank you so much! read more

Extremely rude. We live in New Orleans & are hosting a small 2nd wedding for our daughter at a resort in Indian Wells so not familiar with CA vendors so after much research phoned this Co. I was told to email pictures of desired cake which I did. Did not hear from them so 2 days later called to see if they received my pictures & immediately received a rude & abrupt reply that yes, they received but this is their busy season (our wedding is May) so I was not a priority! We spoke briefly about the cake & price. All fine, although Samantha was still abrupt. She was going to email contract for my deposit. I contacted resort to give Exquisite Desserts as the one providing the cake. Few days later received email from Samantha with an idea for cake flowers, I mailed back that would be perfect & send the contract for me to sign & give payment. Never heard another word, emailed & called--no reply! Went back to resort explaining the situation & that Exquisite Desserts would NOT be our bakery. Resort gave recommendation of another (wonderful) bakery at this time, I called them, they are delightful, our daughter will have a beautiful cake and working with them has been a pleasure. In my 70's & I've had huge weddings for our children, debutante parties & many, many just because parties, all catered, & have never before had such an unpleasant experience with a vendor. read more

This place is awesome. I needed a cake last minute for Thanksgiving day for my daughters 21st bday. Since it was the holiday weekend, it really threw a wrench in our planning. All excuses aside i phoned Exquisite Desserts and the person I spoke with was so helpful. She told me she could not do a customized cake due to the short notice (which I completely understood) but she let be email over some of the ideas of what I was looking for. Samantha Ward and her team provided us truly the wedding cake of our dreams! Our initial consultation had a little hiccup, having overbooked two consultations at the same time. But Samantha and her team worked their magic and provided us a personalized consultation. My husband and I had a vision for our wedding cake that was mid-century modern studded with design elements. We were simply blown away of how amazing Samantha and her team were. They truly are artists, best in the area. We went to several other wedding cake consultations, but they were the ones that truly wanted to execute what we wanted for our cake. Jeannette, the cake designer, had the expertise to let us know which design elements were good to execute and which ideas needed to be edited. Plus the cake tasting was divine. All the different varieties of cakes, frostings, fillings, fondants, you can't go wrong with the selection. Ultimately, we chose a white chiffon cake with passionfruit and strawberry mousse filling that was incredible. Our only regret was not to save the top cake to eat later on :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, DO NOT HESITATE TO GET YOUR CAKE FROM EXQUISITE DESSERTS! read more

I just wanted to let the people of the Yelp world know something. Exquisite Desserts is the best bakery in the area. This bakery is in the top 3 I've ever been to. The whole staff is very professional and very friendly. (I don't remember names very well. I'm sorry.) I mean everyone is great. This past monday, My mother in-law picked up my wife's birthday cake. It was BEAUTIFUL and I mean BEAUTIFUL. The cake was so moist and very very delicious. Not too sweet. Just perfect. We needed two wedding cakes in a matter of days. After doing a little research this was the only place I wanted to get a cake from and I was so pleased she was able to squeeze us in. The cakes were not only beautiful but delicious!! The chocolate was the crowd favorite but I personally loved the lemon. If you're getting married in the desert, this is a must! When my sister (the bride) and I were planning a wedding this past June, I promised I would take care of the cake. She trusted me and I trusted this establishment and we were all extremely satisfied. Everyone loved the flavors (banana, carrot, and strawberry) and most people went in for seconds! Everyone complimented the cake and thought it was beautiful. The owner (Samantha) showed up and helped decorate the finishing touches with the provided flowers and it was beautiful! My fiancé and I will definitely be coming back for our wedding as well! Organized my sister's baby shower along with her best friend. We decided on a super hero theme. I live in San Diego so I knew it was going to be a little challenging conveying my ideas for the cake via email and phone. Samantha and her team knocked it out of the park!!! Exquisite Desserts is a wholesale bakery and specialty cake boutique serving the Coachella Valley. Owner Samantha Ward is a classically-trained pastry chef with years of experience working with world-class chefs. Ward specializes in catering extensive menus, custom wholesale pastries, petite pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and specialty cakes, and has plans to open a retail space in the coming months. Samantha Ward is the pastry chef/owner of Exquisite Desserts, founded in September, 2000. Samantha graduated from California Culinary Academy in 1993, and began working as a pastry chef in San Francisco. In addition to being European trained, Samantha has received extensive training with World-Famous chefs. She also had the privilege of working with members of the 2001 Coup de Monde championship team. Exquisite Desserts services 20 of the top country clubs in Coachella Valley and is a member of the Greater Palm Springs Wedding Association. Exquisite Desserts serves La Quinta, Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, Palm Desert, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, and Cathedral City.

We went here because of all the good reviews and we were disappointed from the start of the appointment. I had called ahead and made an appointment for a tasting for our wedding. I told Samantha that we wanted cheesecake and she was very accomidating over the phone, but as soon as we walked into the shop, she immediatly told us how bad it would be and that the cuts wouldn't be pretty, we hadn't even sat down at this point, when we did sit down we were constantly interrupted by her answering the phone, I understand you have to run a business but have someone else answer the phone. I was beginning to feel she didn't want our business. She continuesly tried to talk us out of a cheesecake wedding cake and when she realized we weren't going to change our minds she tried to save the sale and say that she could do it and it would be wonderful...She NEVER emailed or called me back with the price quote or anything. To top it off another lady walked in and Samantha did say that she was with us and she would be with her shortly, the lady proceded to ask questions which Samantha answered while she was still with us and then the lady actually sat down with us while we were discussing our wedding cake options!!! read more

We hired Samantha to make our wedding cake and it was a great experience! When we went to the tasting, she patiently allowed us to completely customize whatever flavors we wanted. One of the layers ended up as turtle (chocolate with caramel and pecans), which was my favorite. She is really able to get both excellent flavor with a beautiful cake. She delivered our wedding cake right on time and was very professional to work with. The funny thing is, my in-laws arranged a wonderful brunch for our friends and family the day after our wedding and unbeknownst to either of us, they had hired Samantha to make the pastries for that too...and of course, they were wonderful as well! Just EXQUISITE!. I was looking for a bakery to make a cake for my husband's 70th birthday party. Actually set an appointment and met with Samantha. Even had the opportunity to sample some of her cakes. I chose the carrot cake and the chocolate with raspberry cream filling, had two different idea designs, both Roman themed in nature, showed them to Samantha and it was a done deal. Everyone at the party raved about the cake and my mother-in-law who watches every calorie finished hers, her husband even said he has never seen her do that.
