She contradicted her staff and I fear that she have sabotaged my Botox just because she's a super angry person. Like other reviewers she insisted on giving me 40 units when I have always had 25. Do not get Botox here. The doctor didn't ask me where I wanted it or what my goals were. She didn't mark anything out beforehand. She kept trying to push jeuveau on me even though I said I only wanted Botox. Dr. Steiner injected 60 full units when I only wanted 40 and I left with massive asymmetrical bumps on my forehead. And when I went to pay I found out she gave me jeuveau even though I didn't say I wanted it. I can't lift my eyebrows at all and my forehead feels so heavy because of the huge amount she injected. The single star is for the sweet dog that's at the facility (which also doesn't seem very hygienic to have at a place where you are injecting people with needles). read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I don't say this lightly. I've had many facials of all types and I've never experienced such low quality service and an unsanitary environment. I am shocked that this place has stayed in business considering the uncleanliness practices that they have to perform facials or any services. The lobby is organized however the procedures are ill equipped and concerning. Before the facial, they provided a Visia scan to show sun damage. The machine was dirty, where there was visible residual makeup from previous clients on the chin and forehead rest areas. The esthetician was extremely rude and not thorough. She did not provide a full facial cleanse before starting the hydrofacial. The whole appointment was an uncomfortable experience. read more

I went here a couple months ago because I found a Groupon for a Jessner chemical peel... I'm just now reviewing because I was waiting to see if Dr. Steiner would reply to my email and she never did. She told me I could come in at 4pm and a few other girls came in at the same time with only 2 people to assist us. The receptionist had no clue what she was doing and couldn't even find the paperwork for new patients to fill out. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Dr. Steiner put me in a room where I waited another 15 minutes. I have gotten a Jessner peel professionally done several times before and the experience at this spa was horrible in comparison. Dr. Steiner did not clean and prep my face properly, she used a wipie and lightly wiped My face and didn't even get every area. While doing this she made some small talk and I thought she was really friendly but as soon as they needed her in the other room she took off mid conversation and didn't say anything. She came back and quickly applied the Chemical peel very lightly and I asked her if it would be really bad to work out during the peeling process and she said she didn't think I was going to peel. I don't know what she did differently or what she used but Every time I've done a peel, I have peeled for about a good 7 to 10 days. I hadn't gotten one in a few Years so it's not like my skin was tolerant of the chemical. This time I did not peel AT ALL not even one little area. I was in that room for 15 minutes tops, which is sad because I was really looking forward to asking her questions about other procedures I wanted done and for her to Give me some recommendations but she never gave me the opportunity. Another thing that was disappointing was that the Groupon was for $80 and she told me to not purchase it but to pay in person. When I went to pay she said the price was $120! But supposedly I could go back for a second peel, I paid anyways and even tipped but I'll never go back. It was very rushed and I felt like I wasn't treated the same as her other clients, perhaps because I was in my Gym clothes and looked like I didn't have money. I had hopes that this would be my go-to place but unless you're a POC that doesn't look like they have a lot of money, then don't waste your time or money. The place is really pretty and clean but the experience and results were horrible, it's like I paid to just have my face wiped semi-clean. read more

I found this service provider via Groupon and had the courtesy to call to see if they would rather I book the appointment direct and honor the Groupon price, which was $370 for 40 Units of Botox. They agreed so I went in for the 40 units. Off the batt the Dr said I needed 50 units. I have been getting 40 units every four months for the past ten years, and when I tried 50 last year, the administering Dr even agreed it was too much upon my following return. So I stuck with 40. I am sad to report that there is hardly a change. If feels and looks like what maybe 10 or 20 units might impact. Based on the reviews I am only just now reading, I am selecting not to waste my time further by returning and haggling to get what I paid for, but simply wanted to pass forth a word of warning. At least based on my limited, one time experience here with only one service: Botox. read more

Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had while getting Botox. Never spoke to anyone, only communicated via voicemails before making my appointment because the phone is always turned off. Waited at the door for 5 minutes because it was locked and they had to confirm I wasn't there for pain management. Waited 30 more minutes in the waiting room when I was the only person in the office. Front desk person didn't know how to redeem the Groupon. Person who injected me had me select the number of units and placement for Botox from a printed picture rather than analyzing my face. Didn't give any warning before sticking me with a needle in a location I DID NOT ASK FOR. Aggressive with needles and punctures without warning, and then gaslighted me for saying I wasn't afraid of needles. I am also pretty sure the pain management doctor ended up injecting me, after looking at the name of the doctor at the clinic compared to the one on her scrubs. This was a Groupon so they refuse to help since it was redeemed, and I will never return. read more

Bought 40 units of Botox which is the most I have ever gotten applied. I go every 3/4 months & never have had an issue with other MedSpas. I did not see any change on my 11's & crows feet. I spent $380 for the 40 units. I reached out and told them I was not happy with the results then they scheduled me for a touch up because the Botox did not seem to work. Came in on time for my 12:30pm appointment, there were no clients and I was seen at 1pm. When she walks in she just sat on the bed side and said that I'll need to purchase more units because I need more than 40 units. I just turned 28 years old, I have been applying Botox since 24, and I have never needed to apply this much and for it to not work. I told her that's not how you keep returning customers, she said "who cares" because she has many people coming in all the time, that whatever I had to say did not matter. Dr. Steiner wasted my time, my money, and also lost me as a returning customer. I do not recommend getting any services done at a place that does not care if you're not satisfied with the services you PAID FOR and they did not fully deliver. Never again! read more

Came here originally and was seen by kaitlyn, had a wonderful experience with her and Christina. I let Kaitlyn know what I could do financially so we didn't go over the cost. She gave me the best results and respected my wishes. Christina was the friendliest ray of sunshine and I looked forward to coming back because of her as well. Months later I returned for my second visit to receive Botox, to my surprise that I was met by Dr Steiner instead of Kaitlyn. I CLEARLY told Dr. Steiner how much I wanted to spend and WE agreed on the amount of units that would be appropriate. When I got to the front desk, I was told that she gave me double the amount of units I asked for. Which equals double the price. Very disappointing. That makes me feel completely taken advantage of. So confused by my experience on the phone. I called after seeing a groupon and checking yelp for reviews. The daughter of the owner picked up and was panicked about speaking to a customer. She didn't know how to access the appointments and wanted my email to give to her mom. (I only know she was the daughter cause she kept saying the owner was upstairs doing something and then called her and said 'mom'). Originally she said she could transfer me to that person (and continued to argue? Converse? Idk about that on the phone with her mom, but mom says no take the info lol) so she gets my email (not sure why that's happening, just trying to get an appointment today) and then I just give it to this terrified girl (which I do empathize with because being on phone duty, young, for your parents business is terrifying at that time ). Expect to never hear back cause of how that whole bizarre convo went, and just plan to call later. Then I do get a call back, unsure if it's the daughter again but this girl also has no clue what's happening. She doesn't know about Groupon, and she tells me about a hydro facial that is a more expensive version than the regular facial. It's over hundred, and the Groupon is $60. I ask her what the difference is because I have only had a facial once. She says she doesn't know how to explain the difference (which, it's double the price so ... you have to know the difference) and when pressed says "it's just more deeper." ... what? I continue to ask for clarification (no idea why though with how bizarre everything went) and she says the facial (that is $150 when not on Groupon) is just "superficial" (totally confused on how facials work now... that seems like a lot of money for superficial work.) and the hydrofacial is "deeper." Seriously, that is how the convo went. I'm lost. The earliest for the "superficial" facial is Tuesday (it's Friday) so I said no thanks and hung up. So odd! read more

Dr Alicja Steiner is a crook. She's very nice at first and then she will take your money the next while she's trying to schmooze you up (she's incredibly awkward, rude, has zero social skills, and snaps at her staff). She also doesn't care about your time. I told her I had to leave in one hour and we easily went over because she so easily gets distracted and careless. It's best to pay before you get anything done with her. She's so unprofessional and doesn't know how to resolve problems and keep customers. She charged me over double the amount for dysport that was supposed to be on special! They won't talk to me at the office to resolve it and resort to yelling and hanging up. How is this place in business still? I will stick to my favorite dermatologist in La Jolla where I am assured the best experience and the doctors there are more knowledgeable than this crooked place. Stay away from this place if you want to be treated professionally and like a human being! Don't believe me? Try for yourself and you'll be sorry you did. Dr Steiner is never busy and I was surprised she never had anyone in her office. Now I know why. Best of luck to you, Dr Steiner, I hope you learn how to be more professional and treat people with dignity, don't lie, and don't just squeeze money out of people.
