LOVED my experience with Dr. Steiner, her facility, and staff. Dr. Steiner had just amazing bedside manner- she made me feel incredibly welcome. I was getting Botox with a Groupon and we talked about my options. I think if you plan on getting Botox- but you have a budget in mind or goals of what you want to look like in mind- definitely communicate! Doctors aren't mind readers and the more they know, the better equipped they are at getting you to your desired goals. Dr. Steiner was great about showing me some of their other services and some new products that just came in that she knew I'd probably like (which I did!). Also- they have free parking in the back. I went to the grand opening here and got a facial assessment that revealed my true skin age and showed me that there were distinct improvements I could make in my skin. I got a hydrofacial with Tatiana right after and weeks later I am still seeing it's effects! Tatiana gave me a great first experience. I was nervous because no man in my family would ever get a facial. But time are changing and I recommend this for ANYONE interested in smoother, clearer skin and great recommendations for self care to do on your own. Treat yo self! I recently returned to the medspa to get another facial. I asked for a facial on my back this time! I train at my gym very frequently and as a result I have started to get some acne on my back. I absolutely love the facials, the hydra facial is my personal favorite, especially if you are looking for an instant improvement. I have tried the different beds, but highly recommend the electromagnetic pad. I didn't think much of it when I initially laid on it. I had zero expectations. But was blown away by the after effect. I did the muscle relaxation mode and literally felt that I was floating out of the office. Botox is another service I have done here. I love my results. The interior is beautiful and very clean. I have been going to this spa for nearly two years and every time that I was able to get services, I was absolutely pleased. I have received a variety of treatments including facials, massages, waxing, micro needling, and laser hair removal, and every time I want to jump off the roof with joy as an effect of the treatment (not literally). The staff here are kind and very welcoming and it is especially great to refresh myself and to improve my appearance whenever I have the chance, as I live abroad and regularly attend the spa when I come to San Diego (2x/year). I came here to get lip fillers and I was 100% satisfied. Kaitlyn was the nurse who did the injections and she gave me very beautiful full looking lips! I was nervous to get this procedure but she and the esthetician (Christina) were very patient and kind during the entire appointment. What a fantastic experience. The ambiance of the spa is so perfect. Every room is large and has lots of natural light. My service was the hydra facial and with it being a 30 minute facial, I didn't feel like I got less of an experience than had it taken an hour. Olivia was so professional and made me feel comfortable. Lola, the nurse, did an in depth skin analysis that was painless and extremely informative. It was so interesting to see my skin in real time, blown up, on a screen. The technology in this place blew me away. My previous experiences with medical esthetics were Botox and Latise so I was happy to see they offer both. Recently moved into the neighborhood and passed by this spa a few times so I I decided to go check it out! I went in on a Friday to ask about the services they offer and the manager, Martin, was nice enough to give me a tour and explain all the services they offer; the spa itself is gorgeous and clean, everything is new and top of the line. I made an appointment for a facial and Swedish massage, he was able to get me in the next day! Martin was the one who gave me the massage and it was great; he makes you feel very comfortable and gave me a very relaxing and soothing massage. Afterwards I got a facial with Nicole, she was awesome! It was my first facial and she walked me through each step, answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable as well! Unfortunately, I was unable to leave a tip as they only take cash for tips and no space for tip if you pay with card. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back! read more

I am giving One star, instead of Zero, because the office staff were incredibly polite and sympathetic. Why were they sympathetic? Because they know their boss is rude and unprofessional, and probably, a crook. I had a groupon for Botox and arrived at the spa, (a very beautiful place), at 3:30. Filled out paperwork and was told by the receptionist that they needed to "prepare a room" for me. She offered to let me use the thermal light treatment for 10 minutes while I waited. That was nice, except that when I was finished the doctor still was not ready. I was shown to a room, (beautifully and expensively decorated rooms), and told to relax; the doctor would be in shortly. I waited until 4:10. Another staff member came in and apologized and asked if I would mind moving to a different room. Why? I did not see any other patients in the myriad rooms that were open. I moved and the woman said she was so sorry, she was going to call the doctor from upstairs right away. I waited another 5 minutes. The woman saw me and said "Oh my gosh, I am going to call her again. I am so sorry!" Waited another 5 minutes and a woman comes in ; I assumed it was the doctor because she did not introduce herself. She never apologized, simply barked, "Where do you want your Botox?" I said , "Well you're the expert, maybe you can tell me what you recommend." She looked at my face and we discussed the areas to be treated. She sold me ten more units of Botox, then left the room, came back with a syringe and started injecting me, and she seemed like she was pissed off about something! No ice, no pleasant talk, just "Frown for me." She moved from area to area so quickly, and was rough! I have never had this experience with Botox before! She was in such a hurry that some of the fluid in the syringe spurted onto my mouth! Great, probably the extra 10 units she sold me! It was over so quickly that I said, "Wow was that 40 units?" She told me that it was 50 units. I wondered why she left the room to fill the syringe and it occurred to me that I should have asked to see the bottles, so I did. She looked disgusted but said, fine I can show you the bottles. She moved me to the front desk to pay and I again said I would like to see the bottles. She rudely said, "If you don't trust me there's nothing I can do!" I loudly told her how rude she was. And she stormed away. I was absolutely appalled. The woman at the desk kept apologizing for her, and I asked her if the doctor was always like this. She said that the doctor had hurt her back. I am seriously thinking of taking her to small claims court. To be 45 minutes late, unapologetic, unwilling to fill the syringe IN FRONT OF THE CLIENT, like you are supposed to, is unacceptable. Her staff seemed afraid of her. I don't know if my treatment worked because it has only been 3 days. I have bruising, but no results as of yet. This spa screams MONEY. No expense has been spared in decorating it; marble floors, white leather everywhere, luxury magazine everywhere, a lot of rooms and machines. Perhaps she doesn't like Groupon clients. Perhaps the reason she has so much money is that she rips people off because I can't see her having a successful practice with her lack of manners and professionalism. read more

Dr. Steiner is literally a psychopath. Needs to learn how to use a laser hair removal machine and probably should never raise her voice to a customer again. I shut her down real quick. I paid for a Brazilian, came in once and she only did 3 small areas. I thought maybe it was done in sections! When I came in the second time, after learning it should not be done in sections but the full area every visit i asked her to please do the full Brazilian and she turned around, told me that if I wasn't happy I can leave and get my money back. I said I just want the full Brazilian because that's what I paid for. She then put the machine down and told me I can just go. So I said yes please. Upon walking out she tells me not to criticize her work and tried to raise her voice but I shut her down and told her not to speak to me. She walked away mumbling something and I left. They were very friendly and helpful in getting all services and set up organized for myself and 6 friends. The staff was kind and thoughtful and Dr. Steiner was great!
