A whole lot needs to be said about Nowak Aesthetics. First of all they water down the Botox injections, it's necessary to come back several times to get the results I expected. The woman Maite is not experienced. Your are the experience as she gains experience with your face. She tricked me into using my lip fillers without permission. I had to go back 4 times before she got the lips right. DONT go to this place. It's a gimmick!!! I have spoken to a few women who were very upset with their treatment as well. read more

I was a long-time patient of Dr. Nowak -- I first saw him when his office was on Third Ave (I was 19), and again years later at 32 when I had one of 2 of my tattoos lasered by him. Over the years I also visited his new office for fillers and facials, and always had great experiences back then, which is why I decided to return at 42 for another tattoo removal. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different this time. The front-desk staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. During a fall promotion for tattoo removal, I confirmed with both Dr. Nowak and his medical assistant that I could purchase two packages under the special. When I tried to pay, the receptionist couldn't process it correctly, and the MA reassured me it would be fine and noted in the system. Later, when I came back to complete the purchase, they denied the agreement and treated me as if I had misunderstood -- even though I had clarified everything from the start. On one of my treatment visits, a staff member even made an inappropriate joke during my session. I had used stress toys to manage the pain, and when I apologized for accidentally damaging one, she replied, "Next time I'll hand you a rock," right in front of the doctor. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional -- even the doctor seemed taken aback. Instead of resolving the billing issue respectfully, a staff member later called me to refund part of my payment and told me I could no longer return as a patient. I was shocked, especially after being a loyal client for over 20 years. The atmosphere has changed drastically -- there's tension among staff, and the overall energy feels negative and disorganized. It's not the same caring, professional office it once was. I went to this clinic for Dr. Nowak himself -- not for the rude and ignorant staff who now act as his gatekeepers. He's an excellent doctor who deserves a team that reflects his skill and professionalism. Unfortunately, the people currently representing him are doing the opposite. I've since read other Yelp reviews from patients who noticed the same lack of professionalism and customer care, so this seems to be a growing pattern rather than an isolated incident. I'm truly disappointed and wouldn't recommend this office anymore. Patients deserve honesty, consistency, and respect -- not confusion, hostility, and indifference from those representing such a talented doctor. read more

I am 6 weeks post op today. I waited for today to leave this review so I can accurately rate my entire experience. Let me just say, Dr. Nowak and his staff are so great and I would recommend him. I want to preface this by saying I was pretty set on a tummy tuck. I have two children via c-section, so I have the notorious c-section shelf and the weakened abdominal muscles from both my pregnancies....I was convinced my only option was a tummy tuck. My friend recommended Dr. Nowak and sent me a video of him performing Tumescent Lipo and it blew my mind! I had my consult with Dr. Nowak to see if I would be a candidate for this procedure and he assured me I was. He was very thorough and continually asked if I had any questions. He showed me lots of before and after photos of clients who had the same procedure and lots of testimonials. On the day of my procedure, Mayte did my numbing and she was so kind and gentle. We chatted through that whole process and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Stopping and pausing when it got a little spicy. However, it was completely tolerable and I would totally do it again. Dr. Nowak performed my procedure and it was just as I anticipated it would be. Watching the that video really helped with anxiety and knowing kind of what to anticipate is helpful. He talked to me during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. He also called me the night of the procedure to check up on me the night of my procedure. I had the pleasure of seeing Diana for my post op massages and EVERYTIME I saw her she had a smile on her face and always greeted me. Her bedside manor is top notch! She always explained the procedure, like what the machine does, what to expect before, during, and after the treatment. She is so sweet. Now that I think of it, every staff I encountered there always greeted me and had a smile. Needless to say, I would do it again in a heartbeat! This is where it's at! Dr. Nowak honestly has the Midas touch. I've had my lip fillers and Botox done by him (so far...but more to come) and I'm VERY happy with the results! He approaches lip fillers conservatively because he'd understandably increase lip size little at a time, rather than doing too much and then having to backtrack. He's also very skilled - the process was seamless, fairly quick, and you just get the feeling that he is a master at work. It sure helps that he applies numbing and an assistant is present to comfort you if needed. I love my lips! I also want to praise Valeria for being such a knowledgeable and friendly aesthetician. I suffer from acne issues and she gave me great tips of daily acne management. I also had a diamond glow facial with her and it was amazing. I immediately knew that I could trust her with my skin. To be fair to the business, I have waited a full year to write this review. Here's how this started. I called Nowak Aesthetics because I love everything sciencey about beauty and I had read about a treatment for the face in New Beauty magazine that I had never heard of before; and after doing some research found that they offered it. I was directed to consult with their EmFace expert who was as sweet on day one as she was the last time I saw her over 4 months later. I believe her name is Diana. I sat with her and she explained everything in great detail. She was excited for my outcomes with the treatment. This review is not positive to be certain, but I stand by how sweet this person was and is. She tried to make things right at the end, but wasn't able to. The EmFace treatment is touted to be "skin tightening without needles." I have done many treatments (ultherapy, Morpheus8, and thermage) that are very painful and have good results and I was excited by the before and after photos she showed me. I paid for my treatment with my CareCrefid card so I could pay interest free over 12 months, the treatment (on special) was 3500$ for (4) 15 minute treatments. The debacle that occurred with the financing is another story but after 3 phone calls they were able to make that part right. It's really not relevant to this story. The treatment is a breeze. It contorts your face a little but it's totally painless. All they do is put some stickers on you, attach the machine to the stickers, turn the machine on and leave the room. You have a call button if you need anything. This device is a moneymaker. There is no need for labor and it's 3500$. Three thousand five hundred!! (Big big money); but the truth is that I was willing to pay that because as I've stated before I've done all the skin tightening treatments and this was sold to me as something that would benefit me and I was hopeful and excited. After my 4th treatment, 4 months later, I came back to have another consultation and there was zero difference. They take pictures every time and compare them to your first picture (the before treatment picture). Diana and I looked at my photos and I told her I was disappointed. There was no change. She agreed that there wasn't any difference and told me she wanted me to be happy and was going to check with Dr. Nowak to see what they could do for me. This melted my heart. I'm thinking wow, this office really cares and wants to make things right for their patients. I was wrong about this, unfortunately. We booked another visit a month later to discuss what we could do. At that visit we took another set of pictures and I was taken into a consult room. The PA came in and we sat down. Diana looked at my photos and said the lighting was different I had to go back into the photo room and do these photos again. I understand now they were trying to get a more flattering picture. With the PA in the room, she took charge of the conversation (the PA) and it was terribly uncomfortable. She was definitely sent it to squash any additional treatments at their expense. It was awful. Here I am, a year later, and that was a massive waste of 3500$. I see on their site now the offer it with Morpheus8, which is invasive but actually produces results, for the same price point. I'm disappointed in my results, but I'm also disappointed with the way they handled my feeling/concerns about them. I do not recommend this business. read more

I always have such a great experience at Nowak Aesthetics. I consider myself not the typical patient and can find clinics intimidating, but everyone on their team is friendly and welcoming. Jenny and Conchita always do an amazing job and make me feel totally at ease throughout the whole process. With so many providers available out there you should be able to get your work done after your consultation. Great experience for my first time getting Botox. Staff was friendly from the moment I came in and overall office ambiance was relaxing. Jenny and Valeria were amazing!
