I originally found Avalon because I followed Nancy from another medical spa. She is absolutely amazing, and even after she moved to the Carlsbad location, I planned to keep following her. But then I won a laser treatment at Avalon's Christmas party, which is how I started seeing Raiza--and I'm so glad I did. What I love about Raiza is that she really listens. She's never pushy or trying to sell you treatments you don't need. She's incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to understand what you're looking for. At 53, less is definitely more for me. I want to look like the best version of myself, not like I've had work done, and she completely gets that. She's given me the best Botox I've ever had using the fewest units, and recently she did my lips. I was nervous because I wanted them to look natural, and she absolutely nailed it. The difference is subtle, but it brought so much balance to my face. I've gotten so many compliments, and no one can quite put their finger on what's different--which, to me, is exactly how great aesthetic work should be. I also have to say that everyone at Avalon Laser is kind, welcoming, and professional. They always have great specials, and one thing I've noticed over the years is that so many of the staff have been there for a long time. To me, that says a lot. My service was with Rhea, and I had a deep facial cleanse followed by a chemical peel. She did an excellent job explaining each step of the process, which made me feel comfortable and informed throughout the treatment. Before starting, Rhea carefully assessed my skin and gave me honest recommendations about what my skin needed--and what it didn't. I really appreciated her personalized approach. The chemical peel was temporarily uncomfortable, but it was absolutely worth it. I've already been getting compliments on how great my skin looks! The recovery took about three days. During that time, it was important to stay out of the sun and keep my skin well-moisturized with Aquaphor. As I applied the Aquaphor, my skin gradually began to peel, the peeling was happening a lot faster on day 3. If you're considering a chemical peel, I recommend planning your schedule around the recovery period and following the aftercare instructions closely, since your skin will be very delicate. OMMMMMG! I had my first microneedling treatment with Rhea, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! My main concerns were my acne scars and uneven skin texture. I was pretty nervous beforehand, but Rhea made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. She explained every step of the process, what to expect during the treatment, and answered all of my questions, which really helped calm my nerves. I was worried that microneedling would be painful, but it was actually much more comfortable than I expected!!! Rhea also took the time to educate me on why treatments were recommended. I'm writing this review with mixed feelings, which I think is important for anyone considering this procedure. I'm about 7 months post-op. On one hand, yes -- there is less fat, and I no longer have folds when wearing pants that sit above my waistline. I can look at myself in the mirror without feeling disgusted, which *does* count for something. That said, am I happy with the result aesthetically? No. My abdomen looks uneven, with noticeable hills and dips, as if fat was removed randomly rather than with a clear plan for symmetry or contour. It doesn't look "sculpted" or natural -- it looks unfinished. While the volume is reduced, the shape is strange, and that's not what I expected from a cosmetic procedure. Another major issue for me was the pre-op experience. From the very beginning, I was clear that I struggle with taking pills and asked multiple times how many I would need to take and their size. I never received a straight answer. In reality, I was required to start antibiotics *before* the procedure -- large pills that I had to crush and drink with juice -- and on the day of surgery I was given a container with around six more large pills. I had to break them in half, repeatedly ask for more water, and was told not to drink too much water while being expected to swallow them. I became extremely stressed and ended up crying before the procedure even began. By the time I was on the table, I was already overwhelmed. I remember crying throughout and at one point urgently needing to use the bathroom. Shortly after the injection, I was mostly out. Lastly, the doctor repeatedly described himself as being "like a Nazi" when it comes to following rules. As a Jewish patient, this was deeply uncomfortable and unnecessary. Regardless of intent, that kind of language is inappropriate in a medical setting and affected how safe and respected I felt. Would I recommend liposuction in general? Possibly -- it *can* reduce fat. Would I recommend this practice? No. For a procedure that is both physically and emotionally significant, I expected better planning, clearer communication, and more sensitivity. read more

But you didn't actually help with my skin at all. YouGave me a bandaid to calm down the irritation I had from using many different products to try to rehydrate and repair my skin from the damage caused by Laura going way too deep when microneedling. You told me to put cortisone on my face for 2 weeks which only helped with the redness because it was a steroid but did nothing for an actually exasperated the dryness and sensitivity to the elements. As soon as I stopped (and I'm so glad I did, because topical steroid withdrawal can literally peel your face skin off) it was the same issues all over again, and no change or improvement in the damage to my skin read more

I came to Dr Tirgari with a botched surgery; after having been turned away, given inflated estimates, and even been insulted by other doctors, with Dr Tirgari I felt like I was talking to one of the star doctors from the Botched tv show, he was just as empathetic and kind. He helped me, did a major improvement and did not overcharge me. After a few years, I came back to Dr Tigari to have a 2nd revision, and now I look the best I can, and get lots of compliments. This place is a scam. I went there for eye bags and they charged for a bunch of stuff that didn't' help at all. Also, the Dr. asked me if I wanted to do the entire filler or half and come back later.
