To…read morebe clear, I am rating my EXPERIENCES and not the salon as a whole* ** I booked an appointment online through their booking app with Victoria for a cut/color/highlights/style and was very excited as Victoria's reviews were great** 8/3 - My first appointment. As to the things that happened during this period though 8/9, I would keep my rating at one star. The one star rating applies primarily to the actions taken by the former employee who was assigned to do my hair versus who I had booked with. A smaller percentage to someone that could possibly have changed the outcome. Why the one star?Disappointment and genuine sadness with what I have lost. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst cut I've ever received. I'm not crazy about the color either as it's not what I went in asking for but that is more my fault for not standing up for what I wanted. I had a love/hate relationship with my hair but for the most part, I thought it was really pretty. It was feeling dry so I wanted to take 2-3 " off. Not a big deal because my hair was way past the middle of my back. But I was deceived by the woman wielding the shears as I asked her directly at least twice if she was good with cutting my hair type. She said she was. That day as I walked out of the salon I felt satisfied with the glance that.I had taken in the mirror at the finished result. Looked okay. As soon as I walked out the door I took a few selfies in the bright sun and was pretty shocked at he color. Shame on me. Later that evening upon returning home, I combed through my hair because it had already started to curl. Again what I saw shocked me. I sat down the next day and wrote a lengthy email to the Studio explaining my concerns including pictures. I didn't hear from anyone so I called that Tuesday, spoke with someone and set up an appointment for Friday 8/9 for an attempt to fix it. +8/9 - 8/26+ I would rate this period with 3 stars. Took off work to go see Victoria for an attempt to right the wrongs on 8/9. Prior to my appointment earlier in that week, I had washed my hair and found that the errors were much more noticeable and more pronounced than what I had seen dry. Knowing in all reality that this could probably not be fixed, I walked in to the Studio on Friday and was greeted so nicely by Victoria, who I find to be a very kind, genuine and honest person. She took a quick look at my hair and then we went to wash/condition it. She took her time and gave a great service at that.During our time together I was let known of certain circumstances concerning the former employee. If nothing, Victoria is a very honest person. I admire that in her but she is such an open book and so caring, it allowed her to be taken advantage of by the emplyee. That, in turn affected me. That sucks. I know that Victoria really wanted to be able to fix my hair. I know she felt badly and she apologized so many times. But in the end. I asked her to just please stop cutting.. It clearly could only be fixed one way. That is going to involve me cutting my hair into a bob just below the chin. She gifted me with some products which was a nice gesture. I left and went home. I thought a lot about everything that had happened and what had been discussed and the next day I sent a long email telling Victoria everything that I thought could p traps have been done differently which might have resulted in a different outcome.I ended the email stating that I wouldn't leave a review as a courtesy, thinking I would hear from her. A week then two went by with out a peep. So yes, I went back on my word and left a review that was honest but harsh. I was contacted and a meeting was agreed upon for today. We calmly discussed everything and I believe both sides can move on. While my hair is still an issue I'll find a way to resolve it So for today I rate them FIVE stars. Portraying kindness and genuine concern goes a long way with me. We are good. I'll see you again next year, Victoria. . Julie

A simple blow dry with her turned into the best experience for me this week. Told her I was stressed and needed a break from work, just wanted a blowout with a lot of volume at the roots. While washing my hair, she gave me a short massage at the scalp and when she was finished, my hair had some of the best volume I've ever seen it have. Shortly after that visit, I started noticing inflammation, pain, and irritation around my toenail. At first, I thought it was just temporary sensitivity from the pedicure--but it never improved. Fast forward to now (March), and the issue has still not resolved. After looking into it and dealing with this for months, it's very clear that I developed a fungal infection, along with ongoing inflammation around the nail. This has been frustrating and honestly upsetting, because something that was supposed to be self-care turned into a long-term issue that I'm still dealing with months later. I can't say exactly what went wrong during my service, but I would strongly encourage this salon to take a closer look at their sanitation practices and tool hygiene. Situations like this shouldn't happen. This place is beautiful if you choose to come here, but please be cautious and pay attention to how tools are cleaned and handled.

My second visit was just yesterday, and I walked in without an appointment (lesson learned). Harry was busy, which is totally understandable, so I saw another technician. Unfortunately, that experience didn't match my first--one nail was noticeably shorter than the rest, and another broke the same day. So today, I came back and made sure to book with Harry. I originally just wanted to fix the two nails, but once he looked at my set, he noticed several imperfections that I hadn't even caught. He told me he wanted to fix everything, which meant doing a completely new fill-in. But that's not what this review is about. I came in for a pedicure, and the ladies were nice. I sat down, and my tech said that she is new to this. I don't mind, everyone has to start somewhere. It did take a little longer than I was expecting, but it's ok. The color came out really well. However, there were some things that I noticed that other salons in the area have in practice that they didn't do or something off that might be out of their control. I mean this as constructive criticism, and not a tear down. 1. No foot sink liners, which help with cleanup/hygiene of sinks. I came in while it was slow, so there was time to disinfect the foot sink after my use, but I'm a little worried that when homecoming season hits, they'll be risking things. I don't know if this is because they hadn't gotten these liners in yet or not. 2. Though cool water is nice, doesn't the state require the temperature of the foot bath water to be that near blistering hot? I don't know if the hot water is wonky in the building or not. 3. Staff accidentally skipping/not having basic tools for pedicures of tougher feet. I'll chalk this one up to inexperience, but aren't you supposed to do a quick clean under the nail as part of the basic pedicure? Also, I'm fairly used to foot files as a part of pedis, so the scrub pad was new. 4. More of a nitpick, but I would have loved to had gotten a take home brochure with pricing. I can understand that this is an in the future thing, and that the in shop board is in the process of being gotten. But it would be a great thing to have and advertise with. In all, not a bad experience, but also be aware that the techs are fresh out of school and patience and understanding will go a long way. Will be back later to try their facials.

The staff here was so amazing with her... delicate and patient she had such a great experience. There's a lot of nail shops around this area but now we finally found one we truly enjoy. All in all it was a really relaxing experience, you truly feel pampered, it's worth every penny.
