I have going here for years, but lately they care less and extra rude to customers. I asked for a trim like always, it came with hair straightening and cut it was $17. Today I was charge $20 and I asked to straighten she said said no because she makes no money when she does, if that is the case then charge an extra fee but as a customer I asked for a services and you should be able to do and say it will be more for that. One of the things that used to make this place special was the fact that you could see a barber almost immediately. The barbers and stylists worked diligently to get clients out the door as efficiently as possible without all the salon-talk. Well no more. We attempted a haircut on 3 different occasions in the past few months and failed. On all occasions we were ignored. There's no sign in sheet. The barbers seemed to be just coming into the waiting area and picking who they wanted to service next without regard to who arrived first. HUGE turn off. Several of the barbers held inappropriate conversations where they casually threw around the n-word and cursed openly. This place has not been well-maintained. Walls are heavily marred. Furnishings are worn, uncomfortable and mismatched. Floors are poorly swept. Stations are kept completely cluttered. They have done a wonderful job of building clientele but has failed to expand to better serve the volume of business they do. On busy days, the shop is tight and runs out of seating. Customer stand around blocking walkways waiting to get serviced. It's a very uncomfortable experience. read more

I'm one of those people who has always gotten really bad haircut anxiety. Since a friend showed me this place in highschool, that's an issue of the past. I can't speak for the other reviews of this place, but I have had nothing but great experiences here. The haircuts are WAY cheaper than they have any right to be. The barbers are always very nice although not very talkative but that's completely okay. I can confidently say that I have never had a bad haircut here. I trust any barber in this shop to cut my hair. So for men, I highly recommend this place although I can't speak for women or children. read more

They left me under the dryer way too long, while they attended to other clients in between. Then totally forgot about me, until they heard me hollering from the back! Not all, but definitely some of the barbers/stylist here are definitely racist towards African Americans. I've come here from time to time for touch ups over the years. However today the lady nearest the door refused my service. I gave her benefit of the doubt of possibly not being able to cut my hair type, but overheard her telling the Caucasian customer she overpasses me for of how she "doesn't like cutting Indian Man's Hair". Im not sure if she was referring to me or not, but it definitely wreaks of some type of type of prejudice from my perspective. I will not be going back here. read more

We had a staring contest til I gave up and started looking around. then she asked me if she can help me and I told her my son needed a cut. I would have given this salon five stars in the past for the amazing hair stylist they had. Unfortunately, she no longer works there and may have moved on for the best. I returned to this place for a short cut, hoping to receive similar service, but I was wrong. I had a woman with blonde hair who blatantly asked what I wanted and went straight to cutting instead of listening. While she was rushing through my hair, she went on a gossiping rampage bashing previous customers in Vietnamese to her co-worker like we are in some nail salon. It was uncomfortable having to sit through this while having someone paying less attention to my hair and giving more attention to "smack talking." It's just unprofessional. In the end, she charged me $15 for a less than mediocre cut. I told her I've always been charged $12 and the sign also advertised $12 for women's haircut, but she contended that this was "regular price" and then had the nerves to ask for tip on top of that. I considered the extra $3 she charged me as her tip. Later that evening, I went to a more professional salon in Bellaire and had my hair fixed. The kind lady who cut my hair even admit that the lady at Q salon did not do a very good job. She asked me why I didn't ask her to "fix" it and I told her "I didn't want her to butcher up my hair anymore. It'll only get worse not better, so please save me, auntie!" read more
