I happened upon Sunny's Beauty Bar when looking through the Salons by JC directory, since I get lashes there. Sunny's Beauty Bar had a range of hair examples that made me comfortable enough to book. And the owner was very honest about my hair needing repair- enough that she would have let me walk out to go get it fixed instead of staying. But I had somewhere to be, and I got my hair washed and dried. It was GREAT. When I came in, it was an oily and stringy mess. When I left, it was smooth and sleek and looked amazing. Prices are more than reasonable, and there's a REALLY great blowout pack that I will buy after I address the issue with my current install. Overall, I am SO happy I found this salon (I know I've said that before, but I'm not talking about all the mediocre, wet roots blowouts I've had because I know not everyone knows how to handle hair like mine). I will definitely be back, and I loved that my hair was styled WITHOUT having to sit in the devil's teacup. Great blowout, great place, centrally located, easy parking, overall recommend!

I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and for a few months I have been trying to grow out a rat tail. It wasn't much but it was there and I told her not to cut it once or twice because I have been wanting one and I was so close to being able to get it in a small braid and as soon as she put the cape on me she shaved the sides of my head so I was thinking yes we are fine but then she cut off my freaking rat tail after I told her not to cut it. I was so mad but I felt bad for saying anything so we finished the rest of the hair cut and I paid and left.
