The front staff was friendly and efficient. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The beers being in the back of the moving van were already pretty cold, but having a real freezer helped to put the final chill on them was nice. The moving van had to go in the back but my room overlooked it. The hotel has easy on and off I-40 and plenty of spots to eat around it with a Walmart nearby

I also love the fact you can check in from the app, get a digital key, and not have to go to the desk. This hotel has a nice gym area, indoor pool, fire pit, and serves breakfast. Now, let's get to why only 3 stars. This is a newer hotel that sits relatively close to a main road and right by a red light. They definitely did not invest in sound reduction, so if you're in a room that ends in an even number prepare yourself to hear ALL the traffic - making it a bit difficult to sleep. Breakfast is served starting at 6am, but only during the week. If you're there on the weekend it is at 7am, so those who are in town for work and have to be there in the mornings just be prepared to eat breakfast somewhere else.

All of the lights were soft white, and added to that comfortable ambience. The bathroom honestly was lackluster, with tarnish and mold And a toilet that ran for the majority of my visit. On the other hand, the service at the front desk was absolutely wonderful, the girl that worked there during my stay was very pleasant and kind. The breakfast was amazing. They had miniature scones, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, and other hot breakfast items available each day. Did I mention they have pumpkin spice waffles right now? Not going to lie I was super excited! The pool is closed at the moment, but the indoor workout room did not smell like a nasty, old, rotten jam, it was actually rather pleasant, and all of the equipment was well-kept! Definitely debating coming back here and hopefully they will get their bathroom situation figured out. Because short of that my stay lasted entire week and that was the only complaint that I had.

After settling in and…read moreputting our son to bed we realized the television didn't work, the toilet didn't flush and there was dog food on the floor of the bathroom. We called the front desk and had to move to another room on another floor. Very inconvenient and they offered no discount for the inconvenience. Breakfast was not well stocked and we ended up going elsewhere for food. Just before 9:30AM I went to make myself a coffee and the person cleaning from breakfast grabbed the creamers as I filled my cup which was rude and ridiculous. Even if breakfast was ending he could have let me cream my coffee. We were going to stay again on our way back through town but definitely will try a Hilton instead. We have been strictly Marriott users as I plan soccer travel for a group and plan business travel frequently but I've been urged to switch to Hilton brand for a better experience.

They are receiving lots of love and attention here at the property. The location is convenient to sams club, movie theater and the interstate. The road parallel to the Interstate has all of the restaurants and shopping that you'll find here in Cookeville. But the town itself is unimpressive. But if you're going to be here, this hotel is a good choice. So far, this is the worst hotel stay I've had in the 5 months I've been on the road. I've been checked in for 2 weeks now and I've had absolutely no housekeeping. I've went downstairs and requested room service 3 times. Yesterday, I finally spoke to a manager and she informed me that housekeeping is afraid of my caged dogs. But she reassured me after my assurance that they'd be put away in my absence, that my room would be flipped. I let her know that I was away from my hotel room for the weekend and she said they were still there for the day, and here I am walking into my room, still hasn't been serviced. Seriously a bad representation of a Marriott location.

What began as a positive experience quickly turned into a deeply concerning situation involving what I believe to be discriminatory treatment, harassment, and improper conduct by hotel staff. My family and I were in town due to a funeral and had booked rooms at both this hotel and a nearby sister property. We were informed that the pool at this location was open to guests from both hotels due to maintenance at the other property. During our time at the pool, our group--consisting of four adults and five children--was singled out and repeatedly stopped and asked to prove we were registered guests. We observed multiple other individuals entering the pool area without being questioned and being greeted politely by staff. In contrast, we were treated with suspicion and subjected to repeated scrutiny. We later learned that the individual initiating this interaction identified herself as "Kim," the Director of Sales, not a front desk associate. Despite not being in a front desk role, she continued to monitor our group, including walking past the pool area window, pointing at us while on the phone, and repeatedly intervening. In an effort to comply with staff concerns, we returned to our room and booked an additional room at approximately 4:00 PM. We have timestamped confirmation of this booking. Our children were back in the pool by approximately 4:30 PM. Despite this, staff later claimed that the room was not booked until after 8:00 PM, which is factually incorrect and directly contradicted by our documentation. At checkout, we discovered additional charges for extra guests who did not stay overnight. When we attempted to resolve this, staff presented photos of the minors in our group--taken while they were in the pool in swimwear--on a personal cell phone, claiming this was evidence of additional guests. This action was extremely inappropriate and raised serious privacy concerns. Furthermore, after disputing these charges and raising concerns about our treatment, we were informed that we had been trespassed from the property. This appears to be a retaliatory action in response to our complaint rather than a justified decision based on our conduct. Throughout this experience, we made every effort to comply with staff requests. We were respectful, followed instructions, and even booked an additional room to address concerns raised by staff. Despite this, we were subjected to what felt like a pattern of targeting, surveillance, and inconsistent enforcement of policies compared to other guests. Given the totality of these events, I am requesting: A full investigation into this incident, including staff conduct and use of personal devices to photograph guests Removal and refund of all improper charges Clarification of hotel policies regarding pool access and guest verification Assurance that appropriate corrective action will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future This experience was especially distressing given the circumstances of our visit. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed promptly. Sincerely, Eric Messer
