I let it pick randomly because I didn't have a preference. You do have to pay a deposit and they have a no show policy but I totally get it so it wasn't a huge deal. The salon is pretty. Super clean. Lots of plants. And everyone was friendly. Madeline was my stylist and I highly recommend her. She was professional and friendly. I went in & the stylist and I had a great conversation about what I was looking for. The cut was really beautiful but she said the color would take more time than what we'd booked. She said she'd confer with the owner for any additional suggestions for processing my hair, and I scheduled the following week for color services. I returned for the color a week before Christmas. We spoke again to confirm my objective: I wanted ash blonde highlights in my naturally grey hair. Easy Peasy, right? No. The color process went awry, and after she tried to tone the color down with an all-over color, I left with a full head of solid strawberry blonde hair. Yes, I paid $250 for a 3 hour, total hair transformation...which was great if I were in witness protection. On Christmas Eve, my grandchildren cried because they didn't recognize me, and our dinner was unusually quiet. She couldn't do the UPDO that she advertises... not even a simple bump. The owner finally stepped in and asked Laurie to leave and go home... and the other stylists stepped in and tried to fix my daughter's hair. (Even though it had to be REDONE at the church by someone else!) AS LONG AS LAURIE IS WORKING AT THIS SALON, I will do everything in my power to write bad reviews. It's crazy that the salon owner would keep her. Let's see how many customers I can run off from LAURIE!
