Hired Extra Electrical to lay a line in the backyard for a pool heater. They did the work over the weekend while nobody was home, and when I returned to see their work, I was appalled. The backyard was still trenched out, dirt everywhere, and my irrigation had been lines cut. Extra Electrical failed to complete this job in a workmanlike manner, and I would give them 0 stars if I could. I'm sure Extra will defend by saying we signed a mandatory waiver absolving them of any liability for the lines being cut, or that the trenches needed to remain unfilled for somebody to come repair the irrigation lines they destroyed, although our contract states nothing to this effect. Whatever they may say, nothing would justify the damage they caused to my irrigation system, nor leaving a job site in a state of incompletion. This is my experience, please strongly consider your other options before hiring Extra Electrical, and please ignore the "5 star reviews" that mention nothing about Extra's actual work. read more

Extra electrical came out to my home to install electrical for my pool light and pool motor. They installed an electrical box that had an outlet on the side of it which is great to have. The technician walked me through what they were planning on doing before they started the work. Once they were finished he showed me what they had done and let me know they labeled certain items in the electrical box. Great customer service, completed the job in a timely manner, and i would definitely use their company again for any of my electrical needs! read more

We received bids from only two companies: Monster Power and Extra Electrical. We chose to work with Extra Electrical because of a more competitive quote. I personally had a phone conversation with David Gomez, the owner of Extra Electrical. He strongly advised me NOT to go with Monster Power as they have had many issues with their work, they have bad mouthed Extra Electrical, etc. He then proceeded to tell me this is the reason he (David) chose to no longer work with BYOP. He said he couldn't deal with Monster Power any longer. This was surprising to me that a business owner would not only speak to a customer so negatively about their competition, but also advise me that the leads from BYOP are paid for. Not exactly what we wanted to hear. Regardless of this, we allowed and paid for the work by David's team at Extra Electrical. Fast forward a few weeks and we have now finished and filled our swimming pool. Within days we noticed wetness around the edge of the pool. I called Duncan Plumbing and they immediately came out to assess any issues - no questions asked. They confirmed there were no plumbing issues. I then called Superior Pool Plastering and they confirmed the same - no issues. At that time we were lost with how to solve the ongoing issue of the leak which had become more obvious. On July 17th we further invested $299 with Leak Science to determine where the leak was coming from. They were able to determine, without a doubt, the issue is coming from the conduit in one of our microbrite lights. We called Extra Electrical and the secretary immediately denied any fault on their end. She claimed they had pictures of their work, never has this been an issue before and refused to help unless we paid them $250 more to come out as a trip charge. On Monday, July 20th, David Gomez spoke to my husband and I before abruptly hanging up the phone on me. He refused to rectify the issue and advised me it would be best to involve the ROC and proceed with a claim, which I have done. The issue remains open and unresolved at this time. I will update this review when and if the situation is resolved. read more

True professionals, on time and excellent work. Had them out to install our pool electric and a new outlet in a historic Phoenix house (and historic electric is tricky). Ironically had an (what turned out to be completely unrelated to their work) electric emergency the day after they came out (of course on Sunday when they are closed) and the team came all the way from west valley on their day off to fix it at 7:30am. Their bid was also actually less than other quotes and they did a great job. I would use these guys any time for any electrical need. read more

Horrible service! Stay away! David gives you a low quote to pull you in, and then reams you with a higher quote after he is gets started on the job. He then charges return service fees of $75 each return visit. He never finished a $4600 job I hired him for and PAID him to do. When I called him back to finish, he told me it would be another $600 to FINISH the job. Ridiculous!! I had to call another electrician in to finish his work and it cost me another $300(NOT $600). Plus, he put in a faulty GFI outlet and that had to be replaced by the newly hired electrician also. I would never in a million years recommend David or his company to anyone! They came and wired my man cave. Custimized shed in the backyard. They did an excellent job and left no mess behind. Highly recommend then.

Very vague in their quotes. Questionable workmanship on some of the work. Very poor customer service. Don't bother with this company.
