They never will unlock the bathrooms when you need them and they are never in the office and when they are they sit on their phone and ignore you when you need help. Units are trashed. People leaving pee bottles outside the building because they refuse to open the bathroom for people. We saw someone peeing in the bushes, a guy in an old BMW verbally fighting outside another guy for selling stolen goods. Like their manager needs to be fired. We've had a unit at northside for years and their manager is a GEM. Regret ever switching locations and got out of there immediately before our unit was destroyed and belongings smelled like the building.

2 massive rent increases in less than a year. When I called an asked the reason for the increase, they told me it was the "market" price. Extra Life has been buying up all the storage units and setting the "market" themselves. Clearly read your rental agreement as well. There is no limit on how much and how frequently they can increase the rent. They also have an arbitration clause in the rental agreement that prevents you from taking them to court. Simple case of price gouging where there are no consumer protection laws in GA. Will be moving out soon, and hope the demand drops to hurt their bottom line

I arrived 15 minutes early, only to be told--without apology--that the trailer I reserved wasn't available. The woman at the counter was incredibly dismissive, shrugging and saying, "Nothing I can do about it." When I explained the time, cost, and distance involved in my trip, she offered no real solution except suggesting a trailer 22 miles away--requiring me to fight Atlanta traffic twice just to get back to my storage unit. Her condescending attitude made a frustrating situation worse, and when I asked for her name to report the experience, she refused to provide it. The manager was no help either, referring me to someone named Summer Robertson, who--as others have noted--is equally unresponsive. I rent U-Hauls all over the country several times a month and rarely have issues. This location is the exception. It clearly has a staffing and customer service problem. There was one other customer ahead of me but my wait time was less than a minute before I was getting help. My customer service person was Michelle. And she was fantastic. I told her that I was interested in looking at a 5 X 5 unit and within minutes we were off to look at one. She asked me all the right questions and led me to a unit that was exactly what I needed. We went back to the office and did the paperwork . Michelle explained everything clearly and concisely . She was professional and friendly . I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. I would totally recommend Extra Space and 5 Stars for Michelle!

They possess people's belongings if they don't pay, so be careful. I also am left with the impression that they may not treat their staff well - they fired one honest and helpful Staff person; I felt bad for him because I didn't have the impression he deserved it and because he worked hard. I find it difficult to recommend them even though they have some very nice people working there (there are also some nasty ones). The corporate office seems to me to be unfeeling in how they treat customers. If you use their facilities, get in and out quickly for the best experience because long-term storage could end up being much more expensive than you first thought.
