The drive up outdoor units need to be dug out and then won't close. Bring a shovel and be prepared to wrestle with the door and lock. I moved to a storage facility near by that took snow into consideration and built their units raised off the ground, rolling doors that have some forgiveness of 1/2 an inch to account for snow built up.

Despite that, my rent was increased by $30 every THREE months, effectively tripling the annual cost for a very small unit. What makes this even more insulting is that the exact same size unit was being advertised to new customers for 1/4 of what I was paying. That tells me very clearly how this company treats loyalty: they punish existing customers while baiting new ones with lower prices. I raised this issue and was told a district manager would call me to discuss and make an adjustment. That call never happened. No district manager could spare five minutes to contact a long term, consistently paying customer. The on site service was just as bad. One employee, Amanda, was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and rude, making an already frustrating situation worse. Her behavior was completely inappropriate for a customer facing role. In contrast, Ashley was the only employee who showed professionalism, courtesy, and basic decency--and she deserves credit for that. Overall, this location demonstrates predatory pricing practices, terrible customer service, and zero respect for loyal customers. After two years of dependable business, I was treated as disposable. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to think twice, especially if you plan to stay longer than the introductory rate period.

My only problem was I haven't rented a storage unit in a long time come to find out there are a lot of fees that you don't find out until you get ready to pay You have an administration fee for the unit which includes a new lock with a new key chain for $25.00 you do get to keep the lock when you're done with the unit also on top of the rental fee each month you are charged $15.00 each month unless you have insurance to cover it. I called last minute for my move and they still accommodated me in their very busy schedule in an interstate move from Syracuse, NY to North Carolina. The guys came in and on a very hot day, they packed everything into the truck, helped me finish packing what I ran out of time to do, and literally drove it down the next day and unpacked everything that same night. The team was fast, kind, friendly, and very encouraging as it was an emotional move. J. & I. especially made the day good - they kept my sister and I laughing and talking instead of stressing. On arrival in NC, there was only one damaged item and once we cleared everything up, the owner took care of me even though he really didn't have to because technically that item wasn't even covered by insurance. Everything else arrived in one piece and they delivered my boxes to the rooms as labeled (even though it was a lot of stairs!) The price was the same in the end that I was quoted, and the only issue was some technical miscommunication that we figured out really quickly and everything worked out great in the end. I recommend J and his team for any moving needs you have - local or out of state! It's a great local company that still holds to integrity and getting the job done.
