Horrible customer service. I called the corporate office a week ago and was supposed to get a call back within 48 hours. Nobody called me. I have been renting from them for years. When I moved out of one of my two rental spaces I had to wait for 45+ minutes for an employee to finish their bathroom break to unlock the gate and my storage space that was already paid for. I called multiple times the weeks prior to clearly communicate and even called the morning of my move to pay my daily rate. However, my gate access was revoked (even though I have a second space at the same facility paid through January) and there was a super-lock on my storage space I was moving out of. It cost me over $100 for their employee to go to the bathroom. (Employee verified to my husband who located him that he was on a bathroom break). I called the Monday after my move to explain what happened and I was offered a $25 credit. This acknowledges they were in the WRONG. Yet, why am I paying more than an additional $75 for their employee's toilet break? When I called corporate they tried everything to blame their error on me. I wasted another 40-minutes on the phone with them and was left with the promise someone from corporate would be in touch with me in 48 hours. No such call occurred. This is sheer ignorance and GREED on their end. This is a horrible way to treat a long term customer. Loyalty goes both ways. This is the shadiest company. They're constantly raising their prices and never return calls. When I called the store to initially complain the young man working there LIED to me and gave me a fake name and number to management. Store your stuff elsewhere. Unit B3084 09/09/2023 - date my money was wasted on an employee bathroom break at 11am - 11:45 am My team of 9 movers had nothing to move for 45-minutes and cost me $115, and made the end time of my move late. To resolve this I need an apology and $100 refund. read more

I rented a 5x5 unit at the end of January when I moved from a 3-bedroom house to a small condo. Intro price was $24/month. I knew this was month to month, but I've barely been there two months and I got a postcard yesterday that they are raising my rent double the amount to $48/mo. Not sure if this was their ploy to get me in - give me a low rate for a bit and then raise it soon after - or if I just happened to lease a unit right before they had price increases. I'm giving three stars because I like that this place is right around the corner from my condo and I have not had any problems accessing it. The thought of having to pack that place up and move it all to a new place is exhausting. But, it would be nice to know if they have done this to other new renters? read more

Bait and switch!! Stay away! I thought their prices were very reasonable. Bought their $30 cylinder lock and moved my things in. Three months later, they almost doubled my monthly fee. They mailed me a Rate Change Notice. "As a month to month rental provider, our rates are reviewed and adjusted depending on current market condition. As a result, we are writing to let you know that effective xx/xx/xx, your monthly rate for unit xxxx will increase to $94." My previous rate was $49! Find a more reputable storage facility to do business with. I guess they hope customers won't want to go through the hassle of moving their belongings to another location. read more

Staff made the process easy. They had knowledge of all products and storage units. Also the facility was tidy.

It's a nice place but rent has gone up $100 since I first got here 2 years ago. The rent has been raised two times each year. They also state that they had military discounts for active duty on line, however they do not in person. Rent is now $260+ which is very sad because I need to keep my stuff in storage for another 2 years. Same area there are other climate control places for less than $200, save your money, hopefully I can move out soon. read more

Got the job done. Clean facilities and kind employees. Office hours are hard to catch given they close at 6 - getting off of work and dealing with traffic made it a little difficult to get there in time when we needed to speak with the office. Also, there is no dumpster on site and the off site location they give is far making it difficult to throw items away if needed. Otherwise, good experience. read more

Lexi is the manager I work with at this facility. She's great and the facility is secure and clean. Also easy in and out. I use storage like a closet space, so I install racks and I'm always in and out quick. Love the new keys -- small enough for pockets, so you can't forget where you left the lock when you opened up. (Don't judge me! ;-) They have front units and interior units -- each floor on its own elevator code -- in case you happen to be splitting up stuff with somebody who... nevermind. Big elevator. I wish I could give them fewer points. They stole my travel trailer or allowed it to be stolen and then made it very difficult to get information. I had to buy a disk and deliver it to the police before they would give them information. By the way, this facility has card readers on the gates and cameras everywhere, yet they know nothing. If you want your stuff stolen then store with them. read more

Extra Space Storage on Park Row in Katy, Tx, Clean facilities but...they entice you in with low prices, then after 3 months nickel & dime you to death. They also require you to have insurance too, which btw they also sell. Upon sign up our little 5 x 5 x 8 was advertised at $29/mo. + insurance. Yesterday I got another email saying my rent went up another $3 (this is the 2nd time in 3 months) so I called the office. They manager said yup, and it will continue to go up every 3-6 moths indefinitely. Yeah indefinitely....until people say you're not going to screw them anymore and MOVE OUT. read more

I used this company last year to hold my teaching materials and I am making a reservation for this year as well. It is the best company I have used (I have used quite a few through various moves as well as to store teaching materials). They are never pushy, everything is bright and clean, and the prices seem to be the best or one of the best in the area. Last year I was worried that I had forgotten to tell them my move out date and would be charged another month, but when I called I was pleased to find out that they do checks for empty lockers and if its empty, they close out the account, meaning I wasn't charged! I was super impressed by this because it showed they weren't trying to get one over on the customer, but were only interested in charging for the true time needed. I mean, come on, they have to be pretty good for people to actually leave reviews for a storage company! read more

Beware of Extra Space storage!!! I have a signed contract that says my rate is $106 per month and they have been charging my bank account $172 and when I called to ask why they said they notified me by mail that my rate was increasing by almost 70% and that I didn't have to agree to it that they could charge me whatever they chose because they supposedly sent some letter!! There is no confirmation that a letter was received or anything on my behalf. read more

I'm very happy renting a storage unit here. The company and this particular location seem to have their act together. The units are clean, easily accessible, and secure. What more do you really need from a storage place? It's a great location, right off the highway, so that's a plus. Josh was the manager who helped us and was extremely attentive, patient, and very helpful. I really think he made a difference in making us comfortable storing our belongings at this location. He obviously takes pride in his work and does it well - I noticed him checking locks and doors even when just walking us to the unit. This place is crap. First they raise the amount from 70 to 100 in couple of months. Second I have setup an auto pay and then I cancelled my account. Because my payment go through before the cancellation date they won't pay me back for the time I was not there. And I am talking with manager about the issue and she raise her voice to me while I am calm! This people need to know who is the boss if it is them or costumer. I hope no one will go here. Moved in recently. Process was pretty simple although the gentleman setting up my rental wasn't the most enthusiastic. Have encountered a lack of carts on my floor a couple of times. A next to impossible to remove sticker for "thanking me for being a renter" or something along those lines was placed on my brand new lock. I would have given the property 4 or 5 stars if they were not constantly spamming my email begging for a review. read more
