Absolutely horrible experience with this facility. With so much competition out there you do not want to waste your time with these clowns. Very dishonest! The Owner will reply with some mumbo jumbo about how he cares and will leave his number to address any issues they have there. You be smart not to believe him. read more

The place seemed like it was going to be Ok, but when I moved my stuff in one of the roll up doors was broken and same with the key pad. It took many months before they were fixed. That's not my biggest complaint. What really made me mad was they raised the rent $80 per month after being in the space for about 4 months. That's not honorable. I'm ok with raising the rent $10-$20 after a year, not $80 after four months. I recently found a much better storage place close to my home. Much more clean and the staff is very kind. The day I moved out of Extra Storage space one of the guys in the office asked me if I could look up something for him on my phone and proceeded to ask me to open google maps. Then he wanted me to sign into google and he was about to tap a 5 star review under my account! I grabbed my phone back and said no way!!! Then about 5 minutes later my friend who was helping me move told me that the guy did the same thing to him! If you see a lot of 5 star reviews on google for this place, you can bet they were submitted by one or more of the guys in the office. I was shocked and when I told him it wasn't right and that there was not way I was leaving a 5 star review after my rent went up so much, he said that wasn't his fault. Which the part about the rent wasn't true, but to pretend that he needed to look up something in my phone and then to have the nerve to creat a 5 star review under my name is very wrong! I do not recommend this location or this company. Find a family owned storage facility. In my experience those are the best places are usually the best maintained and don't jack up the rent after 4 months. read more

Been meaning to write this review based on our visit to the storage facility. It's clean, well managed and facilitates our space needs at a great price. Brenda, who helped us with the process is such a trip. You feel as if your family as soon as you talk to her. If you have storage needs, definitely stop by and speak with her. Be warned this place has water leaks. Had furniture in the temperature controlled unit and upon retrieval items below an AC pipe that must have leaked were covered in mold. Nothing can be done except file a claim in which I can get a total of $2,000. I paid $400 a month for over 3 years and lost over $15,000 in furniture. This is disgusting to me. You're better off selling everything or even giving it away than spending money renting a space from these crooks. read more

I moved from a dumpy storage facility to this one after seeing how clean and well maintaned it is. Smooth floors, suspended ceilings in halls, excellent lighting. Even a indoor loading area. Carts always available. Renting it was quick and easy, with great price. Also nice and cool with the climate control. Highly reccomend this facility. read more

My room was already in the system when I arrived. After just a few short minutes of filling out paperwork, ALL computerized by the way, I was shown my room, etc. Great staff! Clean facility! Was ok the first year company was called Storage post 2nd year billing was messed up had to keep calling. Then my unit became infested with mice. I was given a sticky thing and told to place it in my unit. Mice feces all over my storage tubs had to clean and disinfect. Got my things out especially after they just sold the company without any notice. Raised my rate up without notice and sent me a bill with another increase for a "billing fee"? I am very happy with my new storage unit. management does not care, I placed numerous calls and never received any kind of response from them. Even to inquire why I was leaving the unit. I would imagine it is because they can just have a new tenant come in as they raised the rate of the unit. I can see the difference in professionalism where I am now. My unit was a drive up and would become very dirty inside not sure why. I would not recommend. read more

To be honest this place was average, but for the price you would expect it to be much better. I was told over the phone that i would have to pay a one time fee of $19 or whatever and $60 a month. Then when I got there I was told that it would actually be $80 for the first month and $70 for the next few months, because of various "fees". Mind you this was for a 5x5 unit. I actually only needed a 4x4 but I was continuously told that I would need a 5x5. They do not offer pick up service. The place is super annoying to get into. You need to enter in a pin jus to enter in a pin for just about anywhere you go, and the keypads are a little tricky to operate. Andthe trolleys to move stuff around are randomly located around the building (which is HUGE by the way), when I specifically asked for one I was told to look around. I ended up carrying all of my stuff to the storage unit. I felt for the money I spent the manager should've been more hands on in getting a cart, telling me where my storage unit was (once again this place is HUGE), and other little details. Honestly you can do much better for a cheaper price. This experience was just annoying and a bit stressful. read more

Extra Space Storage totally ruined my life - literally. I moved my belongings to this location last summer, because the house we were renting had unknowingly gone into foreclosure, and we were forced to leave suddenly, leaving us insufficient time to find something else. I became quite ill unexpectedly, and was in and out of the hospital for six months. I was not working and a lot of things had to be put on the back burner. I would check my email and voice mail about once a week, and was having family members take care of what they could. I had explained my situation to Manny, that I was extremely ill, that I was in the hospital, and that I was not working. One day I called and asked to make a payment with a credit card over the phone. He told me that since I was behind two months, that I would have to pay the whole two months, and not one, which is what I had requested. I explained that I only had enough to pay the one month, and I would be able to pay the remaining month the following week. He would not allow me to do that. . A few weeks later I go in person to pay whatever I owed on my account, only to find that my unit had been auctioned off. They claimed they called me, but I explained to them that I was not able to check my voice mail messages too often, and that Manny knew why. Extra Space also never once sent me any written form of communication that my unit was going to be auctioned off, nor did they send me an email informing me of sorts. They said they mailed me a letter to an address that I had never provided them with, i also said that if the letters were being returned, was that not a major red flag that something was wrong, and to investigate the matter before auctioning off a person's lifetime of belongings? I was given the name and number of the person who bought my unit, who turned out to be some nasty alcoholic, but he was demanding some insane amount of money for my belongings, and he wanted it right away. I explained to him that I was sick, that I was due to go into the hospital for surgery, and that with it being two weeks before Christmas, there was no possible way that I could come up with that kind of money. Not to mention that I could not move the belongings on my own; that I would have to hire a couple of guys to do it for me, along with renting a moving van. We were talking over $1,000, which there was no way I could come up with in the short time frame that this guy was demanding. I told him I needed a few weeks to come up with the money. A few days later, while I was still in the hospital recovering from surgery, I receive a nasty message that he was disposing and liquidating of the belongings in my unit, because he had not heard from me, although I had explicitly explained to him that I was going into the hospital for surgery. I also explained to him that there was nothing in the unit of any value. There was furniture that I had bought new many years before, decades and decades worth of clothing and books, every single thing I had from the day my kids were born: Cards, tons of photos, Christening outfits, blankets they came home from the hospital in, all of their toys, stuffed animals, things they made in school over the years, memories that all of the money in the world could never, ever replace. Gifts that had been given to them by family members who are now deceased. Some of the furniture that was in the unit was given to to me by my mother, which had been her mother's, and had been in our family for generations. Extra Space knew of my situation, because I had told them such many times over. I called them to make a payment, and their knowing how sick I was and that I was in and out of the hospital, they would not accept a credit card payment over the phone. At 50 years old and after working so hard for so many years for everything that was in that unit, I now have nothing to my name, save for some clothing and a few boxes of other things. My kids also lost everything. When we were forced to leave the house we were renting, we were able to stay with family, but everything had to be placed in storage because there was not enough room for anything. The only thing we were able to take with us was some clothing and personal accessories. So, thank you, Extra Space Storage, for destroying our lives. The nasty drunk who 'bought' my unit claims to have thrown out all of my belongings, after I finally managed to get a hold of him a few months later. It was quite obvious that many of those items belonged to children and held sentimental value, yet he felt no remorse in throwing these items into the trash. Do not use Extra Space. They do not know how to treat their customers, they have horrible problem-solving skills, and all they care about is MONEY. I cannot help but thinking had this been another storage facility, none of this would have occurred. read more

Total rip-off. Their storage fees are considerably higher than other storage places. Not happy with the level of service I received. They do not care about you as a customer - they only want their money. This is no way to run a company. Would never use them again. Did not have a very good experience with them. read more
