-1 STAR = TERRIBLE = RATS!!! We have a unit at extra space storage in Dickinson. I went today to retrieve some items only to find my unit is COVERED in RAT droppings! When I spoke with the front office, I was told since I don't carry THEIR insurance they can't help me. Has anyone else had this issue? Our unit is in the last building 4. How can we get their help in resolving this issue? I don't have food in my unit and I did not bring in rats. I pay a premium price, with the continued increases every year this is absurd! read more

I rented a unit for a month from this storage location. I must say Angi made this experience great. She went above and beyond and was extremely professional. I have rented other units before from other unnamed storage facilities and this experience by far was over- the- top superb! Thank you Ms. Angi. I hope you see this review someday. I just had my 20,000$ enclosed trlr stolen from this facility over the weekend of 25,26 June,'22. It ahd my Polaris Rzr inside worth 25k$. The front gate has been in non function status for a roughly six weeks which leaves the side gate off fm518 the only access. It stays open far too long for anybody who wants to thieve from folks like me. I found my enclosed trlr, my RZr is awol!!!! Camera surveillance is in my opinion, lousy at best. I will be filing a claim against the Storage Co ASAP. I have not even stored my property there for even two months and my stuff has been taken by some lowlife worm based Maggots!!!! I will not be renting there ever again!!!! read more

FM518 Kemah TX ...Brooke is Fantastic. I was renting a 10x20 outside access unit and decided I needed a Climate controlled unit. I checked the Extra Space website and found only one 5x10' available. I called at 5:50 pm and asked if I could transfer my lease. Brooke said sure but you need to come to the office. They closed at 6pm and I would not make it in time. Brooke said no problem - get here asap and I'll set you up. I made it at 6pm and she generated the new lease. All done in 10 minutes. It is highly preferable to do business with friendly, helpful staff who go above and beyond for you. Esp when storing your valuables. 5 Stars. PS: Andy was also helpful when I did the first lease. read more

I moved to extra space storage due to the size capacity I needed and the rate was reasonable, they are beginning to be way over priced. Almost $300 for a 12 x 30 unit compared to others I have searched around. $200 would be way more reasonable than the amount I am being charged. Ridiculous! read more

I have not had a good experience with this facility whatsoever. When I initially moved my belongings into storage my car swears roughly around $80-$90 it's been two years and now my cost is up to 175 a month. I've never signed up for automatic payments I have always paid late because of the way that I am paid. Last month my money was automatically taken out of my account. Keep in mind I have never signed up for automatic pay Late. When I called I talk to a few people who told me that it hadn't cleared on their account so they couldn't refund the money. I was assured that my card was taken off of automatic payments. After about a week or so of trying to rectify the situation I was told that it would take up to 30 days to get the refund anyway. So At that point there was really no reason to try to get the refund back. Here we are the following month and my account is now overdrawn with multiple overdraft fees because this facility did not take my information out of automatic payments and now the money was taken out of my account without my consent. I am beyond mad that this is happening after I went through so much the previous month. I will let you know what the outcome is after I speak to somebody at this facility but I fully expect to be refunded the money that was taken out of my account Without my consent as well as to be giving the money back for the overdraft fees that I Incurrbecause of these people ‼UPDATE‼ It took FOREVER to get the money back but I cannot seem to get anyone to email me back about what's owed and what I need to do. I still have belongings in my space that I rented. I have emailed sooooo many times and nobody emails me back. Keep in mind this is the only form of communication I can use at this time and they seem to refuse to email me back. After countless emails I emailed asking for a supervisors information on the 18th. Nothing. I have emailed 2 times since then and another tonight. Nothing. This is to unprofessional and completely irresponsible. How can I contact a supervisor or someone that can help me. read more

This place is terrible. Someone stole something out of our boat and the management did nothing about it. We are paying you to keep our things secure and someone inside there is stealing stuff from people. Disgusting! People also complaining about diesel being siphoned from their RVs. read more

This place decided to notify us the day they began ripping up the road, preventing us from getting our RV out for 3 weeks. Mgmt is incompetent and disrespectful and not willing to help their customers. Would not recommend. read more

They sent email at 5:40 PM on august 25th , 2017, saying they were locking it down, as they left for the day. We could have saved a lot of our belongings before it flooded but couldn't get in. Assholes destroyed our property. read more

Have had my travel trailer parked there a little over 6 months and have had the spare tire stolen. They advertise surveillance cameras but you should know that not all of them work and they are only good for 10 days (maybe). I know it's a storage place and this should come as no surprise but they are advertising something that isn't really surveillance. You would have to check in on your things once a week in order for it to work and that's only if your in an area where the cameras work. I've learned my lesson here...put everything inside that is detachable. read more
