It seemed fair and most of the other companies advertised around $120/month. January 15th, 2025 I received an email stating my new monthly price was going to be $181/month starting February 15th. Expect whatever they state as the on-going monthly rate to nearly double. No, I probably didn't read the fine print on the lease agreement. I assumed that a concrete floor with 3 walls and a door would just need a signature affirming I don't plan to live in it so that's on me. It's a horrible bait-and-switch business model...

If you vacate your space early, you do not get a refund. You pay for the whole month. Every other place I have ever used does prorate their spaces. If I had known before I last paid my rent, I wouldn't have paid it since I was vacating it only a few days later. Rows between buildings are narrow. If you pull up to your space you may get stuck if another renter does the same (often times it's a worker whose business uses the storage there. They have a truck and will set their equipment out in the row blocking others in). Property and elevators are poorly maintained. People have been using the elevators to ride in despite signs saying not to. Then they get locked inside and resort to kicking the metal grills out in order to get out of the elevator. I sliced my arm on one of these grills because the timer on the light for the indoor units shut the lights off. I went to the office with blood running down my arm and they said they would get the grill fixed right away... It took them over a year to fix it. There are so many better places to rent from, places that value their customers and will do right by them. DTC Storage is definitely not one of those places and I'm glad to be out of there!

Mine just jumped to from $81/mo to $93/mo. They usually email a notice the month before with the amount. I asked once before about lowering the rent when rates were low. They refused. As I write this they are renting the same size unit as mine for $52/mo. on their website. I was paying $81.00 and they just charged me $93.00 by surprise. This is low class dishonest opportunism. My guess is they know it is hard to move your stuff once in there. I cannot recommend this place based on billing practices. Find a place with more secure billing practices or where you can pay ahead to lock in rates or get a proper notice of increase.

I had two storage units here for more than three years while I was out of state. Adam, the manager…read moreof the DTC StorQuest location is amazing. So professional, pleasant, and goes above and beyond to keep this a well managed business. He truly cares. Ever since Adam took over managing this location (about a year ago) it's been highly organized and smooth sailing. I finally retrieved my items from storage, and that process was quick and easy also. If I need storage in the future I'll return to this location and hope that Adam will still be in charge. Thanks StorQuest, for an awesome manager like Adam.
