You communicate via text with various people there who say different things. You get a code to access a location for a visit. They claim all spaces are taken when spaces are vacant. Since they don't have a current list and unknown people are squatting in empty spaces-this leads to excess texts and more confusion. I just left a space in Hells Kitchen due to water damage. It took 4 days of texts to get a response from them. The place was dirty; smelled like mold and the food commissary above it was noisy. Go to a legitimate storage. Save your sanity!

The employee was going to show her a space. I asked if i could also go see the space with them she said yes. The person in front of me was going to rent a space. She told me the really would be about 10 minutes if I had any more questions. Another employee named Andrew returned. I informed him that I wanted to see the bigger units the 4x5. He said he would show me. When you are looking at the measurements on the website there is a number missing for example it should be 4x5x5 as an example. On the website you only see 4x5. Once I saw the bigger space I asked about the price. I mentioned the price on the website was cheaper. Days later I did decide to rent the unit. My suggestion is to book online it's cheaper. Sometimes there is a $1 first month rent. It's random when you will see that price. I saw it on Sunday it disappeared on Monday. However days later early in the morning the $1 promotion was back. I booked & with all the fees you pay about 1/2 the price of the unit for the first month. I like that the space is clean, the app creator that allows you to open the door is great. The one downside for me is the 9:30am opening. I would love the ability to go before I go to work.

I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

But when I went to the storage unit and I attempted to open it, it didn't open it was locked. So I called the 929 number listed above again Spoke to a different person, The second person I spoke to Stated " They're probably walking or helping somebody into their new unit, And asked if I could give 5-10 Minutes" I gave 11 Person still not there. So I called the 929 number a 3rd time This time I expressed my frustration again and the lady on the phone Stated " There is one person for multiple facilities nearby. There was an emergency at another facility." It sounded like she was gonna ask me to just wait and be patient, but I cut her off and stated " That's not my problem, I want my money back. I have to return the van by 10 AM it's 926 " She said that she will put a request in for the cancellation While driving back home to drop off everything that was supposed to go into the storage unit A gentleman from this location called me and gave me a different excuse, He stated "Hi John, you requested a cancellation" I said yes he then stated "why" and I expressed my frustration again.
