I would absolutely recommend using this company and I would even recommend asking for these two specifically if you want people who are careful and efficient.

My experience with All My Sons moving:…read more Do not hire this company is the first thing that I would say for the following reasons. The first reason is the company's and its employees' failure to come to the site prepared. I had two phone calls the day before the two employees arrived to explain what I needed packed. I asked if I needed to provide any packing materials, and I was assured that the company would provide them, which turned out to be a lie. During the phone call, I explained that I have a sectional sofa, two matching recliners, two nightstands, a dresser, a dining room table and chairs, a sleeper sofa, and (1) an 82-inch TV, and (2) a 55-inch TV. The televisions were all wall-mounted and would need to be removed from the wall before packing. All of my furniture was going into a POD that would be picked up the following day. When the employees arrived, they did not have enough packing materials to complete the job, and they complained that they had been given the assignment at the last minute. These two employees placed all of my leather furniture into the pod without wrapping the items in anything that would protect the leather. I even heard one employee tell the other that they needed to hurry. See, employee one wanted to be done with the job in time to go watch his son's football game. In total, I had 4 televisions; however, the ten-year-old 40-inch television in the master bedroom only needed to be removed from the wall and left in the room. What I told the employees was this: "The 82-inch TV needs to be removed and packed." I walked into the master bedroom. This TV needs to be removed from the wall and left leaning against the wall; it's not going with the pod." I walked him upstairs, where each of the guest bedrooms had a fairly new 55-inch smart TV. Me, "I need both of these tv's removed from the walls and packed. I do have one TV box. I'll go tomorrow and get another TV box. WHAT WAS DONE: The employees removed all the televisions, placed one of the 55-inch TVs into the U-Haul box designed for such TVs; however, the TV was not wrapped in a blanket to protect it from damage, and none of the foam inserts were used. It was just left in the box leaning against the wall by the front door. After the employees were paid and quickly left, I discovered several things. The claim that the pod was full and could not hold any more boxes was a lie. With my aunt's help, I placed at least 8 more medium-sized U-Haul boxes into the pod. In addition, while packing those additional boxes, I noticed a small, wrapped item beneath the 55-inch TV box that was leaning against the wall. ALL My Sons hires' thieves: I unwrapped the TV and discovered that the old 40-inch TV, which should have been left in the master bedroom, was wrapped in a blanket, and the other 55-inch TV was gone. Yes, one of the thieves stole my 55-inch TVs and tried to hide his crime by wrapping the old 40-inch TV in a blanket and placing it behind the 55-inch TV, leaning against the wall. I had to fight to get my TV back, and the argument given to me was that I told the employee that I did not want the TV. My question will always be: what gave him the right to walk out of my house with anything, under the impression that because I said I didn't itemize one, he could take the more expensive item number too? The other issue I have is that the 55-inch TV was stolen on Friday and wasn't returned until Saturday. The TV was brought back wrapped in a blanket. The TV was unwrapped so that my sister could inspect it and plug it in to make sure it worked. After, she verified that the TV worked. The employee for All My Sons walked out with the blanket, so they did not re-wrap the TV. I give this company an F. The employee clearly stole the TV and was not even fired for theft; they just claimed this was a misunderstanding. Shelia C.

I needed to pack up a 5 bedroom house Because my family had passed away, and I was dealing with that. Your company assured me of the best quality and you guys would take care of everything. Your guys completely mishandled, delicate and irreplaceable breakable stuff that was hand painted by my great-grandmother. It's irreplaceable. Here, guys ended up throwing stuff out the bedroom windows and leaving it in the yard. I have pictures Including broken glass left for somebody who was handicapped to deal with. And I think you took advantage of a handicapped woman. Your employees decided to take it upon themselves. After going through stuff in my garage and during a break, your employees decided to ride hoverboards that you had no business being on. You also stated in our final conversation that you were going to send me some money back or put it back on my credit card. Which never happened, so you lied. And again, I felt taken advantage of first for being handicapped, and then for being a woman, because you kept asking where my husband was

They charge more upon pickup and then again upon delivery. Horrible service from them and the secondary movers. Most of my boxes were crushed and busted open, furniture was broken, vacuum missing parts, washer and dryer banged up. No one answered my emails, no returned phone calls, they got their money, they are done with you.

UPDATE: I worked with Donna from the Resolutions Department and she was able to negotiate…read morecompensation for my issues. The 5 stars is ONLY for Donna as she seems like the only competent employee of the company. Through the process Donna was empathetic, polite, communicative, and accountable. This is probably the worst experience with moving I've ever had. I contacted Colonial Van Lines to schedule a long distance move from Arlington, MA to San Marcos, CA. The representative was polite and sounded professional and knowledgeable. She assured me that Colonial Van Lines was NOT a broker but a legitimate moving company with their own fleet and told me to check DOT to confirm. I decided to move forward with them with as the mover and paid half of the invoice as requested. On 8/12/2024, another company named "Always Affordable Moving dba East Coast Van Lines" came to pick up my items, NOT Colonial Van Lines. You can read their reviews on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. The next day, I noticed some surface damage done to my walls but decided to be understanding and ignore it. The real headache started on 9/3/2024 when "East Coast Van Lines" delivered my items to my new apartment in San Marcos. They charged me an extra $337 to load my items onto a smaller UHaul truck to deliver my items since they said they could not fit their primary truck into the apartment complex. This required confusing back and forth communication between the two companies and delayed the delivery by several hours. At this point, I was exhausted and wanted to get the delivery over with. During the move at the destination, I noticed the two movers were not at all professional compared the movers who loaded my items in MA. They dropped several boxes down the stairs, damaged my dining table, and scratched the wood floors in my new apartment by dragging furniture. I literally saw the mover try and carry a heavy box of clearly labeled dishware with one handle which ripped and sent the box down the stairs where you can clearly hear the sound of broken ceramic. I mentioned these issues to the driver and all he said was "file a claim". After witnessing how the mover was handling things, I told him to just leave the boxes and items at the top of the stairs so I could do the rest of the moving myself. I also decided to do the furniture assembly myself because I lost all faith in their competence. I also contacted the account manager that was assigned to my job from Colonial Van Lines to resolve these issues but she could not be reached on or after the delivery date, even after multiple phone calls. She also never returned my calls even though I left a voicemail. A week later I did a more thorough inspection of my inventory and realized that I was missing two boxes, one of which was coincidentally the most valuable box and contained my watches. I contacted customer service and they told me they could not locate the missing boxes and told me to just "file a claim". However, the claim process is laborious and the document requires the customer to agree to the following: "I understand that Colonial Van Lines, Inc. acting as my moving coordinator, bears no liability for any and all damaged/missing items sustained during the course of my relocation and agree to forever discharge said organization from responsibility for the actions of the carrier including but not limited to damaged/missing items." This appears to be a disingenuous attempt to have me formally agree to their negligence and lack of accountability. Moreover, they say they're only liable for 60 cents per pound per article which doesn't come close to covering the cost of the items that were lost. I find it absurd that you can just damage and lose a customer's items, casually tell them to file a claim, and then pretend it never happened. Please stay away from Colonial Van Lines as I feel they misrepresent their business by portraying themselves as a professional high-quality moving company but instead contracts out jobs to less reliable movers. P.S. I was contacted by Donna at the Resolutions Department and will update this review if an agreement is reached.

Whatever you do, do NOT use this company to move your belongings. They will lose them, damage them,…read morelie to you about prices, up-charge you, and ghost you. 1. They were weeks late on promised delivery window 2. They moved my belongings 4 times before it arrived to me. (That I know of.) 3. Many, many pieces of furniture has been ruined or broken, including my TV (despite it being in a protected box) 4. They ARE a broker, despite assuring you they aren't (Colonial Van Lines did not pick up or drop off my things, Apex Moving did.) 5. They lost many of my valuable possessions. Boxes, furniture parts, shoes, hardware for my bed, legs to multiple tables, expensive pots and dish ware. All of it is just gone. 6. They added over $600 in fees after pickup, claiming that 17 boxes were used to pack my things (completely false) and when my things were finally delivered, they wouldn't release it all until I agreed to pay the remaining charges that I didn't agree to. (I was given a small discount from the brokered movers of $140 towards the $600). Once we loaded everything, there were only 4 boxes that were used, not the 17 I was charged for. I've been trying to work with the company for over 2 months now with finding my things and receiving compensation for the damages. The manager I was working with was let go and no one called to tell me so I was ghosted for weeks. I keep being told they will reach out to dispatch and that dispatch will get in touch with me to find my things, but dispatch never does. I'm heartbroken that I spent thousands just for this company to lose sentimental items that I cannot replace. Learn from everyone's mistakes on here and just use someone else.

At first, I was skeptical because they had no reviews in Florida--but just like me, they're relocating too! And let me tell you, I'm SO glad I gave them a chance. They helped me move from a rental in Plantation into my own condo not far from there, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. I texted them a photo of my apartment furniture and VASO quickly gave me a quote. Even when my move-out date changed, they were super accommodating and responsive. On move-in day, they texted me early to confirm and arrived right on time with a truck that fit everything perfectly. Milos and Carlos were absolutely amazing--professional, fast, and extremely careful with all my belongings. They wrapped my glassware, bed, large furniture, and packed my flat screens and clothes using a special clothing rack. They even handled all the boxes I packed myself. I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they worked while treating all my things with care. Thanks to Lifestyle Moving and Storage, my move was easy and stress-free.
