We moved from South Florida to Northern California and received our shipment in just 13 days from the pick-up date! I was very pleased/impressed with how well they wrapped our furniture items. Only 2 items from our bedroom set took a minor hit, on the corner of our dresser and bed, but for a cross-country move it could have been a lot worse. On the day of delivery the 2 movers were very nice and prompt as well, they quickly assembled the furniture that required assembly, cleaned up all the tape and other packaging debris left behind and were on their way. RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION! They had ME, a SENIOR WOMAN, packing my apartment while the young strong guys "held" boxes; the foreman stole a brand new pair of sneakers from the box in my living room that I'd purchased the previous day to wear on the plane - I marched down to the truck and demanded them back. He said he "thought I didn't want them". This was the JOB FOREMAN! He also helped himself to clothing "for my girlfriend". I was so fed up I let him take things. Of the 3 to 4 guys who showed up, they wouldn't pack everything (asked, "what do you want to take from THIS room" in every room they entered. It's an OUT OF STATE MOVE! WTAF?) so half my stuff was left behind in an out-of-state move. They then held my stuff for THREE MONTHS, lord knows where, or WHY, before I FINALLY got it, and when it FINALLY came some furniture was COMPLETELY MISSING and some was DAMAGED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The worst move I ever suffered. Packing was abysmal...furniture ended up scratched, more than half my boxes were not labeled in any way, and fragile contents were crushed. Lamps and shades broken. But worst of all, MANY items, including art of significant value, are gone. WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Warning: DO NOT USE! 1. Pickup was unsettling & unorganized. Employees smelled like weed, I was required to buy an extra $25 box, charged extra for packing, and charged extra for square footage (of course). 2. Pickup date was 2/28. Provided 3/15 as the first available delivery date. Received a call on 3/15, informing me that they were just loading my items on a truck. 3. Deliver date was 3/25, 10 days later than expected, and nearly a month after pickup. Thank God it was not imperative that I receive my items right away! 4. My items were delivered dirty, broken, smashed, crushed, and clearly mishandled!!! Even worse, 3 very important boxes/storage containers were missing. They even tried to deliver someone else's items to me. Not surprising considering some of my items were missing stickers, my inventory list was poorly done and did not match with my items. Worst of all, I found out that the delivery driver worked for a completely different (very poorly rated) company that FVL had hired, without my knowledge. 5. Took 17 days to finally get my 3 missing boxes/storage containers back. 17 days of horrible customer service, conflicting information, unanswered calls; basically, the biggest run-around ever!!! The container of one missing item was nowhere to be found and my belongings were just thrown in a random box. 6. Filed a claim with CSI. Again, I am receiving horrible customer service, confusing-conflicting information; basically, the biggest run-around ever!!! They state that I will receive a response from the adjuster no sooner than 120 days... what a joke! I'm sure I will never be compensated fairly for the huge loss I have endured. Real life con artists. This company will take your bid down and pretend to carefully review each item, then send you a quote that VASTLY underestimates the amount of square footage you will need. This is all part of a careful strategy to get you to sign the contract. Once you sign the contract, everything changes. Once the movers show up they laughed at the estimated square footage. We relied on the estimates they provided after carefully measuring each item and giving the volume of every box and going with the estimate they offered. The actual quote was for 800 sq ft for a 3 bedroom house... we ended up having to leave both our couches, the chair, and the baby crib and were still 1200 sq ft. The items list they estimated never changed. The customer service is a ruse, these people are well practiced at their rehearsed excuses and went as far as mocking me for ever signing the agreement for that little square footage to begin with (their estimates). The move ended up costing $1900 more than they estimated, and they knew full well what they were doing and that was obvious. The agents responsible for "getting to the bottom of it" never even bothered to call back leaving us to deal with the movers and accept the reality of the situation they had prepared for us. This wasn't a mistake, this was clearly their mode of business and something they are used to doing and their response made that very clear. My move was from Florida to California. Initially these guys seemed great, but there were some things that came up that left me feeling 'eh' about the whole experience. These guys use their fine print and vaguely worded contracts to their full advantage and have no bones about it and no real care how you feel about it. Once you've signed the contract you are at their mercy and they act like it. We had to redo our lease for our new place to accommodate the moving trucks arrival because they wouldn't honor what one of their employees previously stated. Instead, they leveraged a question I posed in email to their advantage. The best part of my experience was with the movers themselves. They were on time, quick, and polite. I will say this: they were less expensive then most of the places I looked at and they did get the job done within a reasonable amount of time. If you choose to go with them just understand that they record and listen to every phone call you have with them and they will use everything you say, every email you send, and every word of their contract to their advantage. read more

First of all they are working with a broker which will have you sign the contract on line and give them a down payment. After that I found out that the moving company is not the one I spoke on the phone. The time the arrive at my storage they said that this is going to cost more money than the initial estimate. I agree and sign another contract few thousand dollars more. The only positive thing was Hans the driver which was very nice and helpful.I was told that I need to give them a certified check because this way it will have a driver ready to deliver the stuff in 2 days. After I gave them the check I found out that actually they will transfer the stuff to another truck( so stupid) . After that I got many calls from different people who were not informed about the delivery date and they all calling from different numbers. They keep telling me that the delivery driver will call me when he is on its way. Few days later he calls me and tell me that he will arrive between 12-2 pm but he called later with new hours .He arrived at 7; And first thing he asked was if I have the check because first I have to give him the check and then he will unload. And then everything is in the rush no time to sort the boxes and everything else. They even charge an extra $100 for 2 large boxes and some tape. All they care it's how to get your money. We used them this past May. We were charged fairly but it very expensive. We moved a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house about 5 miles away. In the move, a book case was damaged (see photo). Chunks of the top were ripped off somehow. We filed a claim as instructed. Instead of giving a refund, they offered to come pick up the bookcase, repair it and return it. The damage is on the top, so no matter what is done, it would still be noticeable. No monetary resolution was offered, even after a call back today to try and resolve the issue. Making matters worse, my wife called me to come home from work during the move because the foreman continuously hit on her. He mentioned her looks multiple times along with her body type, which made her fee uncomfortable enough to call me to come home so they could see she has a husband near by. He continued to make comments about her looks at the new house and asked for her number so he could get her a "hook up at concerts". Very unprofessional all around and overpriced for the service provided. In response to Guy: There was no attempt to extort the company. I simply called to go over the three charges on my account. They were explained and understood. I mentioned my disappointment about the bookcase and was told to contact another department. As I mentioned the bookcase would not repair in a favorable way and no alternative solution was offered. The situation with my wife's interaction with the foreman was disappointing and multiple calls were made between my wife and i during the move to ensure she felt comfortable. It wasnt agressive, but comments were made that were not professional. I felt your services were overpriced for what was offered and called today to clarify my bill, not look for a refund. They were of course super nice and helping initially in order to lock you in. But after the movers came to pick up my things, I have received no new information since. I have moved from California to Florida, my things were picked up on August 4th and I still have no idea where or when my things will arrive. DO NOT use this company. They permanently damaged an antique desk, extorted extra money at the time of the delivery and acted unethically, unprofessionally and rudely. Bad news all around. Mistakes happen. I get it. But then you have to fix them or at least TRY. They cracked a very expensive desk, deeply scratched my floors and walls, then acted like there was no problem. When I sent them detailed photos of the extensive damage, I got no reply for MONTHS. When they finally got back to me, they offered me $65. It's a $10,000 desk that has permanent damage because this jackasses don't know how to move furniture. They didn't even know which items were mine on their truck! I hired FORWARD VAN LINES in FL to pick up my furniture and house belongings in Miami, FL, and to store those items for some months at their warehouse until further notice from me. I did most of the packing myself -the company just needed to pack furniture and clothing; as we did the paintings, vinyl records, kitchen, etc. On April 8, 2021; when some/all of the three members of the crew that were packing my furniture, they stole valuable property from: (i) a cabinet that was marked with a sign as "do not touch items inside as are not part of the move"; and (ii) from a backpack inside a beach cart which we specifically informed them not to touch/pack as we were taking that luggage with us that same day. They grab goods for a total amount of USD10,000 + family value as some items belonged to my grandfather's grandfather, during the 40 minutes I left the apartment to go downstairs a grab a quick lunch with my wife and small children. I only learned about the stolen items the day after when noticing there was a missing item in the cabinet and then, the missing items in my backpack. April 9, 2021, was the day scheduled for moving my supposedly packed furniture, so the same three crew members plus an additional fourth member were there even though they did not finished the small packaging that was scheduled for the day before. I confronted the crew and upon their denial I call the company and the Dade Police, but of course the evidence was not there so the crew simply denied their actions when police officer confronted them. Miami Police Dept. Case No. of the Incident is 2104090022359. On April 10th when cleaning the empty apartment, I noticed that one of the items that should have been inside of the backpack (a silver bullion coin) was beneath the toilet of one of the restrooms of my already empty apartment. This was a clear indication that the wrongdoer/s took the backpack to the restroom to search its content and grab most of the items in the hide while my wife and I were having lunch around the corner with our children. Called Police again, and they grab fingertips -see pics- of this new evidence but to my knowledge they never started an investigation, nor I could never get on the phone an agent involved in the case as I was outside the country for months -and all my house belongings in the hands of the company.... Yeah, you can get a sense of my situation. I never get an answer on the findings from police, I guess they have bigger issues to attend. The company "hired" a private investigator to whom I speak on the phone once and offered access to the backpack where he could take fingerprints from the remaining items inside to find out who the burglar was, but he declined with false pseudo-legal answers. Anyway, he recognized he was not doing any further investigation/inquiry to the employees. I was shocked with the company silence after the incident which not only failed to provide me with a reasonable service but was also responsible of treasured stolen property from the sanctity of my home. But what could I do from abroad at that time and with them holding my belongings. They never even asked me about a detail of my stolen property, how the service was besides the incident nor followed up me on your internal/PI investigation. It seemed to me that the crew was never screened/investigated on this serious incident. On top of that, the crew acted very unprofessionally on many aspects -I was on so many things at the time with this temporary relocation abroad the US, that I really missed the red flags at the time -the lenght of this place does not allow me to go in full. I hired the company because the service that I received when moving from Greenwich, CT to Miami, FL was excellent. Nothing more different from the experience you moving crew gave me. The estimate came in way lower than the price we ended up having to pay (we were charged an additional $2500) even though all the information and size of the move was included in the estimate. It took us over 7 days to receive our first load of furniture and we still do not have all of our stuff. They never communicated when they would be there to pick up the furniture. After numerous calls on our end, they contacted me after 9:00 pm the night before the scheduled move to tell me that they would be by the next evening (Sunday) to begin packing up the pictures and TV, etc. After 6:00 pm and no word, I called again and was told that they didn't have time, but would be there between 10 and 12 the next day (Monday). 12:00 and still no word. I call again, the driver is on his way. 1:00, still no driver and no call. I call again, and was told that the driver would call me. 1:45, the driver calls and says he is on his way, he overslept. They finally arrived at 2:30 pm. After loading the furniture, they demanded more than the percentage identified in the contract and told me that the furniture would be delivered possibly on Thursday, but most likely Friday of that week. We had been told that it would be delivered the next day. Thursday comes and goes and no word from the company. I called and texted repeatedly until they tell me that they will be there Friday. Friday night around 6:00 pm and no word and no drivers. After repeated calls to both the scheduler and customer service, I am told it is too late, the drivers will stay in a hotel and delivere Saturday morning. Saturday morning and no call, after repeated calls to the scheduler and customer service, we are told one of the workers is sick and they will be sending the worker to a local doctor. They will be in touch to let us know if the worker tests positive for COVID or can continue with the delivery. Saturday night, no word on the delivery. After repeated calls to the scheduler and customer service we are assured that our furniture will be delivered on Sunday between 11 and 1. 1:00 pm passes and no calls from anyone at the company. After repeated calls to the scheduler and customer service, we are told that they drove back to Atlanta and are just now loading the truck to drive back to Florida and the furniture will be delivered that night no excuses. They will text us as soon as the truck leaves Atlanta. Crickets.... Monday morning and no word from the scheduler or customer service, after repeated calls, we are told that the truck has NOT left Atlanta but will be leaving that day. The drivers finally arrive Monday night after 9:00 pm. They are directed to stay at a hotel and deliver the furniture the next morning. Tuesday morning at 10:30 they arrive, but refuse to unload the truck until I Venmo the balance. In the initial unload, we realise we are missing several pictures, a bed rail and a king sized box spring. I contact the company immediately and tell them that we will be filing a claim. They promise to get back with me immediately regarding the missing items, they remember seeing them in the warehouse. I speak with the scheduler on Tuesday and he assures me that they will have the missing items to us by Sunday... Sunday comes and goes with no communication from the company. After repeated calls and texts to the scheduler and customer service, I am told that they will have a truck bring the missing items on Tuesday... I ask that they please be more consistent in their communication and updates. Tuesday comes and goes and after repeated texts, I am told that they cancelled the truck and that the items will be delivered this coming weekend. I have no hope that these items will be returned. This has been the worst moving experience we have ever had. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone looking for anything longer than a straight move. read more

DO NOT USE. I had high hopes, the first two individuals I worked with at Forward seemed professional, emails and questions answered timely. The crew of 4 arrived. I asked them for Fragile stickers for certain boxes. They do not provide them. Other movers I have used did provide them, this was my first hint. After the move, Eyal said I should have been offered crates for the fragile items. I was not offered any crate. One of the crew members sitting on the end of truck on break was dropping F bombs like it's ok. In dealing with Eyal, he was combative and unprofessional. Eyal is the scheduler. I was called at 3:30 and told my items would arrive the next day. If I wanted to use a credit card for payment this is the last day I could. At 3:30 in the afternoon. It was determined at that time I would need a shuttle as the tractor trailer could not get into the storage facility, or the street the house is on. The next day the truck arrives, followed by a car with a second person named "Mike". Mike did not know the first thing about moving, all he was good for was folding the blankets. My desk, part of a six piece collection arrived battered. The top piece broken off, the bottom chipped. Mike unwrapped a filing cabinet, it was on 3 wheels. I asked what happened to the 4th wheel? He said there was none. After I insisted he shake out the blanket, the wheel feel out in two pieces. Issac- the driver said it's broken. It can't be fixed, file a claim. Mike knew he had broken the wheel and tried to say it was missing. No apology. Plastic totes had been stored with much heavier boxes on top, to the point two plastic totes are in a V shape. Things I asked be handled with care- even wrote on box DO NOT STACK ANYTHING ON TOP came off truck with 3 totes stacked on top. We watched as a stack with a cardboard box on bottom and 3 totes on top-the cardboard box on bottom started to collapse due to the weight. My platform bed with drawers underneath arrived- with the wood split. I pointed it out to Issac, went to get my camera to get a photo. He had conveniently put that side together first, I was no able to get the photo. Looked to us like Mike was a day laborer, not an employee of Forward. I was promised a direct move. My bad, I didn't ask about the employee's. I was also told my belongings would be kept in a climate controlled facility. My items were loaded into the trailer on Saturday, the move was Wednesday, 5 days NOT climate controlled as they had promised. My mattress seems to have a permanent "fold" in it now. There was absolutely no care given to my belongings. Please understand, I paid $6,400.00 for this lack of care. When I spoke to Eyal, he clearly did not care and minimize the damages. Said I should hire a carpenter to see if the desk can be salvaged. I was very upset at this point and told him so. He said if I talked to the driver like that he could see why my belongings were rough housed. I said the company's professionalism should negate. He said no, human nature takes over. Glad I have a recording of this call. I was offered $220.00 by Forward, or I could go thru their 3rd party insurance and take my chances. May not be $220.00. Well, they are dealing with someone who would rather take the loss and do a review in the hopes others do not go they what I have. Upon leaving they left all the trash- filled our trash can and left what they couldn't stuff in can next to can in our yard to blow around. According to Eyal, they do not remove the trash. Never have I ever seen a moving company not take the trash. I was a Realtor for 25 years. I have moved 3 times in the last 10 years. I understand sometimes things happen. But this was horrific. I believe they were inconvenienced they had to take my belongings off the 18 wheel tractor trailer and rent a UHaul, therefore my belongings were thrown in the UHaul with no care to the handling. We hired Forward Van Lines for a cross country move. The pickup was very smooth and they packed all of our large items in big boxes for protection. We needed them on short notice and they delivered. So, all this sounds great, why only 2 stars? I'll tell you why..after waiting for nearly two weeks in our apartment, without our furniture, we decided to call to see what was going on. Chelsea was really nice and told me that the movers hadn't even left Miami yet. I told her that Marcos, one of their movers had guaranteed the items within 13 days of the move-in-date. She transferred me to Amber and this is when things took a turn for the worst. Amber was incredibly unprofessional and rude. She said that the movers had 18 days from the move-in-date according to DOT regulations. I told her that was great, but one of her employees promised my gf and me our stuff would be here in 13 days. She basically said that was our problem and they weren't liable and were still in their time frame. Long story short, the pickup and delivery went smoothly and the movers were all friendly. Chelsea, Nirva, Marcos, and Ofer all did an excellent job. But it was hell dealing with Amber and she really needs a course on customer service. Instead of being hostile and defensive when a customer has an issue she should be apologetic and understanding. By the way, parts from our desk didn't get delivered and after I notified them they said there was nothing they could do because those desk parts "weren't listed on the inventory list" even though the desk was. I guess they just disappeared.. Also, the driver tried to charge me $200+ extra for a long move until I showed him the small print that said the first 250 feet were included in the quoted price. read more

4.5 Forward may be a little pricier than the other guys but, in this case, you definitely get what you pay for. Additionally, when it comes to moving your treasured items from state to state, isn't it worth it to get the good stuff? I was pretty nervous at the beginning of the process. I was so intimidated (given my history) at the thought of hiring Miami movers*, that I went back to my Chicago contacts to see if any of them could facilitate a move. No go. So, with a heavy heart, I started the process locally. I went through a bunch of calls and emails. A few of those turned into visits/walk throughs, but... I didn't feel comfortable. And then I met Guy. My first impression of him was that he wasn't a BS kind of person. Yes, he was there to make a sale but he didn't oversell. He didn't overpromise. He treated me like a person and not a living ATM. I let him know my needs and concerns and we went through the process. Despite Forward not being my lowest bid (they might have been toward the top end), I went with them because I felt I could trust them. And in the stress factory that is a multi-state move, you want to feel as though you can trust the people that have all of your prized possessions. Guy was always accessible by email and phone and was prompt in answering my questions. His guys were on time to pick me up, courteous, professional, and fast. I lived in a Downtown high rise and that meant rules rules rules when it came to the elevator and everything else. It wasn't an issue. The three man crew loaded, packed and organized my apartment with professional efficiency. I'd originally budgeted Forward to move my car as well. When Miami made sure I had no car to move, my bill was modified without question or incident. I also needed a specific delivery date and that happened without incident. Only one of my SoFla guys made the drive to Nashville to deliver me but the Nashville crew was as awesome as the Miami crew. Alex, Ray and James were fast as lightning, delivered all my pieces, delivered all my pieces as they were packed, assembled the furniture they'd take apart, and put everything where I wanted to be. And, throughout the process, Guy and Roei called to make sure I was happy, their guys were working and that I had everything I needed. Home. I was finally home. Starting the process - and given my experience with Miami businesses** - I was terrified of this last effort. Thankfully, the team at Forward made sure that the end of my Miami life and the beginning of my Nashville one was a great experience. *It should come as no surprise that Forward is a Fort Lauderdale business. I will not use them . I am not sure why a * established* company does not the provide movers with credit card machines to process the payment safely . I didn't like the movers had an annoyed attitude toward the moving . Also my move was 1 mile away and the movers disappeared for an hour and 20 minutes while I was getting lunch for them. When I called he said he was still making sure the things fit in the truck . After that , the movers stopped downloading the things because I had to do pay first ( even though I was still on the clock ) , after paying 20 min while they were doing nothing , the credit card process ( phone , email , call back etc) they started to work again. I think this company doesn't not have employees ; instead this is a company that contracts people to do the job. First, I want to thank my fellow Yelpers that reviewed Forward Van Lines, because ultimately that's how I found them. I was moving from FL to MA, and needed my stuff packed carefully, stored and my precious baby (my car) shipped up to me, because I'm not one for making long distance drives. Nirva, Roy and Ben helped me coordinate everything. They were so very professional and prompt with processing my down payment and getting all of the correct info to me and my mom. On moving day, Mike, Dave and Travis came to move me out and they were awesome. So sweet and professional. They wrapped my furniture up perfectly (see my uploaded video) and moved me out in about 2 hours. They worked super quick and well together. It put me at so much ease where I was able to kick back and watch TV on my IPad. And they were even friendly enough to laugh at my corny jokes. Score! Forward Van Lines uses a contractor to transport vehicles called GLG Cars. He (can't remember his name sorry) came the next day to the hotel I was staying at and picked up my car hassle free in the hotel parking lot. About a week later my car was dropped off in front of my house just as nicely as could be. I was worried at how the drive would be from FL to MA, because of the weather, but all was well. So, if you exercise your First Amendment right to share your experience with this mover, they will threaten to sue you. That's right. You have a negative experience with a mover. You post on Yelp and they call you and ask you to remove it because "it's ruining" their business. And when you say no, this was your experience and you have the right to share your experience with others, they say they will sue you. In fact, they also said they would not refund my deposit *until* the negative review was removed. That's blackmail, folks. I spoke to a man named Guy who said that "it's not a threat; it's a promise." So they can be unprofessional, they can misguide you - they can leave you high and dry on a Saturday night - and, when you express your disappointment, they think they have the high moral ground to threaten ("promise") you with a lawsuit for expressing that disappointment in a public forum like Yelp. Incredible Customer Service!! I can not say enough about the amazing experience I had and it was all because of Guy. The day of the move there was a misunderstanding with some of the items that needed to be moved and Guy came to my rescue. Told me there was no problem and they took everything without charging me extra. Then came the treadmill situation. We had a treadmill that didn't fit through the door so it was left behind. Guy went above and beyond to get the treadmill out and deliver it a couple of days later. This company is professional, organized, and their customer service is worth every penny! read more

I had a competitor set to move me from FL to CA but after some negative dealings and bad reviews I called Forward at the last minute. The initial setup was great, I had to call multiple times making adjustments, crazy time conflicts and restrictions and they worked with me the whole time, always very pleasant and quick to get it set. What really impressed me was how they continued this great support even AFTER they had my money, you know that feeling where the sales team are great then thy don't care after you sign - not these guys. While I didn't have a perfect experience, one of my boxes was missed during my drop off (I did however review and sign on the incorrect inventory, that would have caught it) - the company hand delivered the single misplaced box to my apartment and were in contact the entire time. They were flexible, friendly, well priced and worked with me for my crazy time tables and last minute setup. Would recommend to anyone. read more

THESE MOVERS ARE A CLASS ACT! I am so glad to be writing this review for Forward Van Lines. First let me say moving is stressful enough. My husband and I just relocated from NY to Hollywood FL all in less than a month. Because I didn't have enough time to find a permanent residence in such a short time, I put our stuff in PODS and stayed in corporate housing (what a nightmare)! We we're all too happy to find a lovely home in the Hollywood Beach community and set out to find a reputable moving company (unheard of) to unload our PODS. Our situation was unique due to the gated community only allowing one POD at a time to be delivered. Since our relocation, I have relied heavily on YELP for finding good eateries, shopping, dry cleaning, doctors, you name it and the reviews are spot on! Why not look for a moving company as well there? I went to Yelp and found Forward Van Lines had great reviews so I hired them to do the move in stages. I initially spoke with Ben, who I might add was very personable, friendly and accommodating. He immediately made me feel comfortable that they have been doing this a while... and quickly established a plan to get my PODs unloaded. Next, I dealt with Rob, who provided me with the 1st day of unloading times and staff. They called the night before on the first night and the guys arrived on time. The movers were all wonderful, professional and worked diligently to get the job done. Many thanks to Will, Julio, George and....In total, 4 guys unloaded a 1/2 POD in 45 min and the 1st day was done. My first problem I encountered was the understanding of payment which is always a concern when that happens. I spoke with Roy who represented himself as an owner and offered to accept payment of 1 hr for this "misunderstanding" but was not willing to do anything for the second day. I didn't feel that was fair as Ben represented the job as one job over two days. After 20 min of talking, my husband acquiesced and agreed to the min of 4 hrs for the 2nd day. This didn't sit well with us but we were in a bind due to it being labor day weekend. The second day Rob was supposed to call me regarding when the movers would show up but never called back so I didn't have the correct time to be there. That was a little inconvenient. When the movers got here, Julio was the supv and the movers were Brian (spiderman), Tay and Teramy. These guys ROCKED!!! I actually had a great time with them and was so impressed with their professionalism and speed. They were truly a CLASS ACT!!!! The guys finished under the 4 hr mark and I paid for the 4 hrs. While it bothered me to do that... I really appreciated the quality of movers they sent and Julio at the helm. I didn't think about it again. Now for the really cool stuff! A week later I get a call from Jienne (quality control rep) for the company. She asked how everything went and we had a lovely talk. I told her the moving staff rocked, I've moved all over and these guys BY FAR are the best in the business.... however my experience with the contract "misunderstandings" took away from the experience. She was very supportive and told me she would bring it to the managements attention immediately. 48 hrs later I get an email from her apologizing for any inconvenience and sending me a settlement form to complete so she can reimburse me the $120 overcharge! WHAT? I couldn't believe it. What moving company owns a mistake like that and makes good on it? I was truly wowed by the professionalism of this organization. I would have originally given the moving staff a 5 star rating and the office staff a 2 star however after a call from quality control (Jienne) and Guy in management correcting the discrepancy...well it's 5 stars across the board. Need more starts for this mover! I called on a Wednesday for a move three days later on Saturday. Not only was the price incredible, they also provided a great rate on storage. The team was supposed to show up at 9am and based on my previous experience with moving companies I expected them to be there anytime between 11am and never. They actually showed up at 8:30am and completed a multi-home move in an hour and a half! The team was friendly and thorough in wrapping all items. If you are looking for movers, this is a no-brainer. SCAM! This company was pretending to work with us to provide a moving truck. The "broker" pretended that we was on the line with us working out the details of getting us a truck. In the beginning conversations seemed real. They provided contracts and were attentive to picking up the phone. When it was time and came closer to provide services, they gave reasons why they needed more money and even exclaimed if we Zelle them an extra deposit they can get us a big enough truck and ensure faster service. This is where it began to feel uncomfortable and like a scam. The broker then proceeded ro say the truck that was for us broke down and the earliest he can come would be 11pm at night! 11pm came and you guessed it, NO TRUCK, NO COMMUNICATION, NO SERVICE! Forward Van Lines saved a disastrous move from happening! I originally went with a different moving company because they were cheaper and with all the other costs of purchasing a home, I needed to save as much as I could. BAD IDEA. Those movers gave me inaccurate times for the move and almost left me with no movers a few hours before I was planning to move. Forward Van Lines charged per hour for a crew of 4 men. I did a last minute scheduling for the same day, 3 hours later. I had to cancel because I was not given keys to the new place like I was promised. I rescheduled to the next day with no problems. They worked with my schedule and showed up early. They were professional and EXTREMELY efficient. They finished packing my 1 bedroom apartment with some furniture, a bunch of boxes, and an upright piano in about an hour. They moved it and everything was put back the way it was with no damages. We recently moved some furniture and other items from Hawaii to Florida and had been waiting for over 30 days for the container to arrive. It got stuck in the snow in Texas and Chicago while on a rail portion of the shipment. Then I got sudden notice from the shipper that the container would arrive by truck the next day. The Public Storage facility asked that we have the container fully unloaded and put into our storage locker within 1-2 days max. I called Forward Van Lines and several other Yelp recommended movers for quotes and availability on one day's notice for help with unloading the container. Only Forward was able to provide a detailed quote and the movers with only one days notice at a fair price. While I was a little surprised to have to pay a deposit and then the total estimated amount before the movers started work, I got a refund for the difference within 3 days. The movers were very efficient and loaded our storage locker taking maximum advantage of the space and completed the job in 3 hours and 40 minutes vs. the 6 hour estimate. We were very happy with their work and will use them again when we empty the storage locker. They did a much better job than our movers in Honolulu. read more

AVOID. In the market for a mover again, I have been unable to sleep as I am reminded of dealing with this company. I am physically ill seeing their 4.5 star rating -it brought tears to my eyes because I know it is fake. I am still suffering, 3 years later, from my nightmarish experience. FVL specializes in harassment. They blew up my phone at all hours leaving hateful, threatening messages, they sent me email threatening to sue me - even though I removed my honest, detailed review from Yelp under their threat of litigation. They were attacking me because I had booked the move (and put it on my cc) for my boyfriend at the time and HE posted HIS OWN account. I did not have control over his account of what happened. It was his condo they moved to his new home. He had every right to say what happened to him and I could not make him remove his review. He said Yelpers deserved to know the truth. Yet, daily I was harrassed and threatened. I had to hire an attorney for the harassment to stop. Imagine? All I did was book a move for my close friend because he did not have time to research and book it himself. I depended on yelp reviews and this company's stellar rating only to learn later how that rating is created. I would not be surprised to learn that all of the 5 star reviews are fake. I mean look at the 1 star reviews - especially in the not recommended section. I did not know about this section when I booked the move. They are not people who write reviews. They are people with no listed friends and only 1 review that they have ever written. Meaning in all the places those people have ever gone, only one company inspired them to join yelp and share their bitter experience. Suspiciously, they tend to follow the same pattern. Misery followed by threats. As a yelp elite, I can confirm that is EXACTLY what this company does. Please, save yourself the pain. read more

My boyfriend and I moved last weekend (5/28/16) from Fort Lauderdale to Delray Beach. Prior to us moving I called countless moving companies for quotes. After speaking with Gina at Forward Van Lines and seeing the reviews on Yelp I decided this would be the best company for our move. What OUTSTANDING service! I would highly recommend this company to anyone. We had three movers; Andrew, Tony, and Alvin. They showed up at the scheduled time I was given the day before. It was raining pretty bad when they first arrived but, that didn't stop them from getting right to work. They wrapped all our large items with care, disassembled the beds and loaded the truck with such organization and grace. When we got to the new place unloading went very smoothly. The movers asked exactly were we wanted them and made sure we were happy with the placement. The beds were reassembled as well. It couldn't have gone any better.
