They called a few days before the move to see if we needed anything and check that we had received the code for our unit. Mario also called a day after move-in to check it all went well. Not a single hitch. We'll be back next year. (And their prices were less than most of the other units nearby because this location is still so new.) Their facility is 3 levels of climate controlled storage with 2 entrances and elevators as well as push carts to use. My business sometimes requires me to do extensive travel and during certain times of the year I have to do a lot of rearranging of this inventory (DOG CLOTHING AND OTHER ACCESSORIES, NO FOOD PRODUCTS) I run this business by myself along with my vehicle being my office at times, last year I was diagnosed with LIVER DISEASE, which can cause me to tire out at times where I will have to rest myself for a while and then continue with my work often this is at the end of the day 5:00/1700 and often after I arrive at this place I need a little rest and take a medication that causes drowsiness and I tend to snooze in my vehicle! I haven't been to my storage unit in a few weeks due to the fact the season is over! Luckily I checked on my unit last night to find an EVICTION NOTICE on the units door for sleeping in my car, mind you I don't sleep in the unit or sleep on the facilities property after hours I don't wish to find myself TRAPPED IN A STORAGE FACILITY!! But for some reason this Woman MARSHA who seems to have a Bug up here Arse especially with older men and of a certain race (my only assumptions) has singled me out for the offense of snoozing in my CAR!! Again mind you I don't use this place for my residency it's a small filled unit! And I wouldn't think of such an idea, she also claims she warned me of this which I know never happened but she said it's documented! Maybe by her but I was never approached! And there is also NOTHING POSTED or IN VIEW to lay claim to this absurdity! If I went into a fast food place and ate something on their premises and in my car and decided to close my eyes for a while for a quick rest especially after a long drive and was told this was illegal or not permitted I would think something is very wrong especially being a customer! I went in the following day to speak with MARSHA who before I even got to explain looked at me with anger and frustration along with not even an explanation and just waved her hands walking away telling me I was EVICTED! I guess it was fine for them to pick my pocket every month for charges and rent, but for resting in my car for an hour is against the RULES without any consideration for why I may have been resting!! I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.
