I was only moving 2.3 miles away, and they still managed to turn it into a week-long nightmare. What should have been a straightforward 2 day pack, 1 day load, 1 day move turned into a chaotic mess. A different crew showed up each day with no clue what the others had done, and communication was nonexistent. One day was canceled entirely because their truck broke down. They "lost" $1200 in gaming equipment from my son's room, a full size headboard, and a bed rail--then assembled the bed anyway without saying a word. My iMac was completely smashed. Despite clearly labeled items, they still mixed up what was going to my new home and what belonged in storage. Total damages exceeded $3700. I emailed them repeatedly to file a claim--no response. When I finally texted, I was told, "Sorry, I've been out moving." That's the level of professionalism. I've moved cross-country and overseas. This 2.3-mile move was somehow the most disorganized, careless, and unprofessional experience I've ever had. Do not hire them. You will regret it.

The movers were extremely unprofessional when it came to handling my belongings. They didn't seem to work well together, and they often carried more than they could safely manage. As a result, several items were dropped or damaged. One example was a file cabinet that was damaged so badly that it is no longer usable. They also damaged my $2,000 leather couch. They wrapped it with probably $100 worth of packing materials--which I had to pay for--yet they still left a significant portion of the couch exposed and unprotected. If you don't purchase full-value protection, you quickly find out that you have very little coverage for damaged belongings. But the damage wasn't the worst part. After the movers left, I realized that some of my belongings were missing. I had a couple of random boxes containing various items from my house that I had packed at the last minute. Both boxes were gone. I checked my old house and my new house, and they were nowhere to be found. Some valuable items were in those boxes, and unfortunately, I have no way to recover them. Everyone involved simply says, "I don't know. I didn't see anything." When I contacted management, I was essentially told that it was a legal matter and that I should call the police. At that point, there wasn't much I could realistically do. I ended up taking the loss and moving on. However, I want to warn anyone considering using this company: these movers were extremely unprofessional, and I would not recommend them. For these reasons, I'm increasing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. ___________________ During the sales and scheduling process, Bold Moving was wonderful. They were flexible and accommodating. They even said they would pack and move liquids if they were not "Flammable or combustible items (gasoline, kerosene, propane, etc.). Everything changed once they showed up. The packers were very nice but told us they could not pack any liquids. When I followed up with the salesperson they responded, "I thought it was only flammable liquids, but you could pack non flammables in a plastic bin not in cardboard boxes in case it leaks." The real challenge started when scheduling the delivery of our items after they were in storage for about 6 weeks. I emailed two weeks in advance asking for a specific delivery date. It was accepted as the first available delivery date, and I was told they would call the day before to confirm the delivery time. When I didn't receive that call, I followed up with them first via email then via phone. I was told they would put our stuff on a truck, and it would be delivered "sometime early next week" which was about 5 days later. It was clear they would not make the date requested but no one reached out to tell us. This was extremely frustrating since I had a business trip the following week. I followed up daily but could not get a confirmed delivery date. I canceled my business trip on a Monday when someone told me they would going to try and deliver our items that week. He was very clear that he would contact me when there was an update. Therefore, I stopped following up. On Wednesday, I received a phone call from the driver. They were 20 minutes away from the empty house I was not at. Due to the lack of communication in the delivery process, everything felt like a fire drill. I lost money on the business trip that had to be rescheduled and incurred additional costs extending our temporary housing. But, I was relieved to finally have our things. The delivery team was also nice, but many items were broken. The leg on one of our dressers was broken. They blamed the packers because the dresser was just wrapped with all the original items inside making it heavier. Some dressers were emptied but some were still full. I could here the contents of our nightstands rattling around inside. Although wardrobe boxes were used, none of our clothes were hung up - just thrown in the box with the hangers on them. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes. Some of boxes weren't even properly labeled - just "K" for kitchen. Lastly, the delivery team left scuff marks all over the walls with deep dings in some places on the wall. This was my worst moving experience ever. I would never recommend Bold Moving & Storage.

Told my friend rent from extra space. Also heard this place has rats. No background check on people. Guess as long as cash payments are made. They are fine with it. The day before the job, he texts me saying he needs raise the price and proceeds to "tech-splain" how it's a specialized job requiring specialized tools (I built it myself originally with a drill using a couple of bits).
