    UPDATE! After opening boxes post move several items are broken, things not replaceable. The boxes said Fragile do not drop. I now have an open claim with them. I have contacted my attorney along with the credit card company. You all need to fix this issue ASAP. I am so stressed about this entire move. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I have scratches on my furniture and things are broken. Mattress was dirty even with a mattress protector on it. I hired this company to move me from an apartment to a condo 15 minutes away from each other with 3 men helping and it took 4 hours. I have never had a move take that long. I barely had any furniture (dining table, chairs, shelves) (all broken down and wrapped) and mostly boxes. The actual men moving me were incompetent and slow. The flow of the move was a disaster. I had to give them direction on how to move stuff around efficiently. I will NEVER HIRE this company again. They took an hour off but the guy on the phone was very condescending telling me because they took an hour off they won't be responsible for any damage. They wanted to charge me almost $600. I'm in the process of getting every dime back now that I have a claim open.

    I would give 0 stars if I could…read more From the moment the crew arrived, it seemed like they had no interest in actually doing the job they were hired for. They moved extremely slowly, spent a significant amount of time standing around, and appeared completely disinterested in working. Before any work even began, one employee asked to use the bathroom, another had my husband sign paperwork, and then the entire crew went outside and informed us they needed to call a manager because they "might not be able to do the move." This was especially frustrating because we had clearly stated MULTIPLE TIMES before moving day that they were only moving furniture and packed boxes. Despite this, they repeatedly complained about "loose items" throughout the process, even after being told over and over that we were handling those items ourselves and only needed the furniture and boxes moved. We were told a manager would arrive in 15 minutes. Instead, we waited around 30 minutes while nothing got done. When the manager finally arrived, he moved just as slowly as the rest of the crew and immediately started focusing on the same "loose items" issue that had already been addressed numerous times. The situation became even more frustrating when the manager implied work would begin shortly, only for the story to suddenly change again to them being unable to do the move at all after he called another manager. What followed was more arguing about loose items rather than any effort to complete the job they were hired to perform. I have never seen or heard of a moving company refuse to move furniture and packed boxes when that is literally the service they were contracted to provide. The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and a complete waste of our time. To make matters worse, we are still waiting on the refund that the owner stated we would receive. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable movers. *Edited to add - One of your guys claimed there was a litter box odor. Interestingly enough there are no animals. All we could smell when your crew entered the door was rank cigarettes which I'm sure most people don't want that smell being transferred to their belongings as second hand smoke is a health risk that literally can cause cancer. We watched the crew stand around and chain smoke while awaiting the manager so I'm sure the next persons belongings smelled lovely after that. Loose items were actively being taken care of as we told your crew several times that we were handing and we did. Your company failed to do its part and move the BOXES and FURNITURE that were EASILY accessible throughout the apartment. Looks like there's another review that had the same issues. Quit trying to blame each customer that had a negative experience with your company. You obviously have several issues to be sorted out and your pointing fingers at people paying you to do a job is not a good look.

The…read moremovers were very respectful about my items and made sure to strap them down once they were in the truck. They worked very efficiently especially moving items up 3 floors on an 85-degree day. The quote was quite accurate(even though I helped just a bit). There was a two-hour minium, even though it only took 1 hr 45mins to load, drive, and unload all of my items to the new apartment. Overall this was an excellent company for moving, and I will definitely use them again once I move!

Guy Ailam is a scam artist. He's changed companies names, operates with a different license in each State and keeps doing bad things to good people. He is a egotistical, a narcissistic, a social pathological liar who constantly lies about delivery dates, saying that he does not know where the truck is and that you will receive your belongings "soon", "in a few days", "in a week". He truly enjoys the hardships he puts people through. He treats people like trash no matter what, but treats women even worse. I booked my move with American Moving Partners, which were no help with information and promised my delivery would take 7-14 days. I had no idea that Max Moving and Storage would be moving my furniture until the day of the move, needless to say what I was going to be put through this Summer. My move was from Virginia to California and the driver of the truck was arrested on his way in Texas, and it took more than 2 months for they to deliver mine and other people's belongings. They broke half of my brand new furniture and Guy Ailam did not even want to send in the claim form until I asked my broker to contact him to send me the form. I already reported him to almost every agency I could and I will keep reporting him until I receive the whole money back for all the damage and the money he owes me for the delayed shipment. He only wants to offer $700 for the damage, delay, and lies he put me through. Research Guy Ailam and you will find a bunch of scams throughout many years. Hope this guy is caught red handed and goes to prison someday. There are things you can do so he is reported to the right agencies. The more reports he gets, the better. They cannot make him pay for the damage and delayed shipment with a fair amount, but at least it will be on record what he has done to you and there will be investigators and investigations involved. He will not want his insurance to pay for anything because he wants to "take care of it" himself (meaning he does not want his cargo insurance to go up and will offer you the minimal amount for damages, delay, stress, pain and suffering). Still report it. Also keep everything on record. Call the victim hotline of fraudulent moving companies at 1-800-424-9071 or email  hotline@oig.dot.gov File a complaint with the BBB, file a complaint with the FMCSA (https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov), and if he tries to keep your stuff hostage in a storage unit (where he won't tell you the exact location of where it is), call the police. He will tell you that you need to pay more money to go get your stuff. That's another one of his lies. Insurance information for Max Moving and Storage LLC.
