My package never arrived, and when I contacted UPS, I expected at least a level of concern, accountability, and effort to resolve the issue. Instead, what I encountered was dismissiveness and indifference. I was walked through the steps providing reassurance that my lost items would be located or compensated for, I was made to feel as though my situation did matter. Later to find out that it did not. Someone falsely filled out paperwork for me to receive a refund for much less than what I paid to have my now lost item mailed. Losing a package is already frustrating, but what makes this experience worse is the way it was handled. As a customer, I rely on UPS to not only deliver items safely but also to take responsibility when something goes wrong. In my case, there was no sense of urgency, no empathy, and lastly no return phone call to explain why he chose to rip me off.

But my wife was so convinced of their value that she started driving for Uber to save up for it. After two unpacking days with Perfectly Placed, I can say it was absolutely the right call. We moved in over a weekend, and by Tuesday, our house was fully organized--something we could never have managed on our own, especially with my wife now 34 weeks pregnant. The initial spiel is positive and gives you the impression that you will come out ahead with the items put up for auction. The final result can leave you with a net zero balance. Our auction brought in $682, the commission was 40% or $274 and the lotting fee was $15 for 28 lots or $420 leaving me a negative balance of $-10.37. I would have been better off to just donate my items or to just throw them away.

MAJOR INCONVENIECE. And we haven't gotten to the best part. So as my belongings were being unloaded, by a LEGITIMATE company I end up having to hire, all the damage was revealed. My chest, damaged. My night stands, damaged. My desk, damaged. They even damaged my damn microwave! Now, how do you scratch up a microwave??? Then, I go back and forth between U-Haul and Moving Help about who's going to replace my printer. They said it was on D&T Helpers. So I called them and explained the damage done and asked what the process was to remedy the situation. Even told them I could forgive the scratched up furniture, but I needed my printer replaced. Told me to send some pictures and that he'd get with his insurance claims adjuster. Ok. Done. Here it is, a month later, and every time I call to check the status, it's "I'm waiting on my claims adjuster to get back with me". Seriously? For a WHOLE MONTH??? And to make matters worse, this COWARD blocked my number like some female! Lmao! Guessing he got tired of my follow-ups. Lmao! That's the very reason they won't prosper. He estimated we would need 2 trucks and 8 hours of work. The team of 7 guys came out on a cold and wet Saturday and moved us; they were polite and friendly. They worked hard to load and unload our stuff over 10 hours and 2.5 trucks. Yes, the price went over the estimate, but we knew the rates per hour before accepting this bid. There was a single item lost: a glass coffee table top. We reported it within the specified time and Garth replaced it. We are happy with the care that was taken to move our possessions.
