I have never posted a review before, but Keith left such a bad taste in our mouths that I felt like I had to share our experience. The contracted DJ, photographer, and videographer all hired by KCE did a fantastic job on the night of our wedding. Afterwards, however, the process of getting the video and photos from Keith has prompted me to leave a 1-star review. When meeting with Keith in person for our initial consultation, it seemed like he truly knew the ins and outs of the wedding entertainment business. His professional communication and customer service skills, however, were horrendous. Every time we reached our to Keith regarding our photos or video he would respond with "I will check and get back to you tomorrow". He never kept on his word and we would ALWAYS have to reach back out to him to follow up. The response to our follow up emails would often be more excuses, lies, and empty promises. All of this terrible communication left my wife stressed and worried that maybe something happened to the items we paid for and potentially would not get them. We were very excited to use Keith Christopher Entertainment as he came highly recommended from a family member that is in the wedding industry. After our experience, she will no longer be recommending this company and will be sharing our experience with her colleagues as well. Looking back at the reviews for this company, it seems like this company has gone downhill since 2014. In the end, we did get what we paid for, but I can confidently say that it was only in a timely manner because I was persistent in contacting him and eventually brought a lawyer into the conversation. We are happy to have our photos and videos and be done with the Keith Christopher Entertainment group, but we are sharing our experience because no couple should have to go through such a stressful and upsetting experience especially during what is supposed to be such a happy time in your life. I can't express how satisfied I am with Keith Christopher Entertainment. Let me tell you putting together a company party is not as easy as it sounds especially when I had so many different ages and genre's to please. I really appreciate Deana for helping me out with my music selection asks opening up my variety of music. Otherwise we would have probably be jamming to Tiesto or David Guetta if it was up to me. Thank you also for having patients with my crazy schedule l. I really never thought of the little things and if you guys didn't ask if I needed all the extras I would have left out a lot. You guys are definitely the one stop shop for music and entertainment. I know I kept adding things to my contract and making changes but Deana pulled through 110%. The night of we all had a blast everyone was dancing I have all the pictures from the photo booth that I am hoping to have posted on my Facebook along with pictures of the event. KC and his team did a fantastic job MCing our wedding. I say MC because he was more of a "master of ceremony" than just someone who setup lights and played some music. Prior to our wedding, Keith met with us and told us what to expect from his team and how the evening would proceed. He explained to us that it was his responsibility to make sure the flow of the evening went off without a hitch and that everything stayed on time. I was surprised by that, but then again, I've never been married before! Several weeks before the wedding, Keith came to the venue, along with the other vendors we were working with, for the final walkthrough. There, he hammered out the schedule for the evening, almost down to the minute, along with contingencies if there was a delay. The day of our wedding, he and his assistant arrived early to get their gear set up for the reception. All of the key moments (wedding party entrance, cake cutting, first dance, etc) went off without a hitch. The music selection he played was top notch - a great blend of old and new, fast and slow. His personality kept the guests energized and entertained without being over the top. In fact, several of our guests came up to me and told me that the music and DJ were awesome. Yes, this DJ company is AWESOME!! We hired Dj Michael for our wedding this past weekend and WOOOOWWWW - he was amazing!! I'm pretty sure I was one of the most nit-pickiest brides he's ever encountered and he did a stellar job in accommodating every single one of my requests no matter how small the detail was. He kept EVERYONE on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and people still can't stop talking about how seamless the event was. I don't normally leave negative reviews..or any reviews for that matter BUT I'm REALLY Really really disappointed in how this all turned out. We were so excited to book KC as he did a friend of mines wedding. We requested to have the same DJ that she had..so when we showed up and it was a completely different person we were a bit confused right off the bat. I was also just informed that my mother had to go up to him to remind him to have us do our first dance..even tho in our meeting we wanted to do it right after the cake cutting. We stood around and looked at the DJ booth after the cake cutting and when we couldn't get his attention we sat down and figured we'd do it after dinner. No big deal. We didn't wind up doing our dances until about 930-945. Again, let it slide. But then as the night progressed he was playing some off the wall music..don't get me wrong we requested oldies..but we specifically sent him over a list of 15 songs we wanted played and I think only 3 of them were actually played. One was a traditional Italian song that we do at every wedding and by the time I realized he didn't play it, it was already too late. Also, he completely forgot about the bouquet and garter toss..the photographer was all packed up ready to leave at around 1145ish and came running over to ask if we were going to do it. I was so upset as this is another thing that the DJ is supposed to coordinate. I do know this because I have been in probably 15 weddings and even after I spoke to everyone about it and they informed me he should have made an announcement. Or at least coordinated it. I went over to the booth when I was walking out to take a picture and he was sitting back playing on his phone and casually asked "oh do you wanna do the garter toss and the bouquet toss" like.....? It's almost midnight. Half of the guests already left. It should have been done much earlier in the night. And as a bride you're not really thinking about it and you rely on the people who are supposed to take care of this to actually take care of it. I also told him to switch up the music cause it sucked..and of course..he didn't. I also would just like to point out the fact that this guy showed up wearing sandals. SANDALS to a pretty classy place with his fricking toes hanging out. As a professional I just think that is crazy. You're working a wedding for God's sake. I just feel like he didn't give a s**t. He would have rather have been anywhere else. But at the end of the day it's your job. We paid you. It's one of the most important nights of our life and you took our hard earned money and treated it like an annoyance. We even told him we would like him to interact with the crowd and get people up and to the dance floor and he didn't do ANYTHING until it was the last dance of the night. Which he didn't even ask. Just announced it. ALSO please do not pay $500 for cool sparks cause he used them once when we walked in. Just ridiculous. Everyone who I/my parents/husband even the guy who owned the banquet hall, literally EVERYONE, said it was beautiful and everything was wonderful except for the DJ. Which breaks my heart because we really were soooo excited about booking him. I am actually embarrassed with how things went and how bad it turned out. This was the worst mistake of the whole wedding. People remember the food and the DJ. Our food was amazing and the DJ was terrible. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I've literally been sick over how bad it was because it was such a HUGE deal for us to get a great DJ..and this is what we ended up with. read more

don't often do this, but this company has forced me to give a extreme negative endorsement to their business. Everything was perfect at our wedding, except for the customer service from The Keith Christopher Entertainment Group. The lack of follow up to questions during the process and after was slow, and often non existent. Our wedding video took a month and a half longer then expected to complete, and when received, had a glaring error on the opening screen. I reported this error to the owner Keith Christopher on October 29th. He replied that I would have the edited video in a couple days stating 'yes it can be fixed without a problem'. It is now December 13th. The owner has now even stopped responding to me. This now shows what type of business he is running. If you like productive and timely customer service, this is not the company for you. It's unfortunate because some of the vendors he uses are great. We enjoyed the DJ, and photographers. The owner just cannot seem to take care of his customers. read more

We were disappointed with our experience with Keith Christopher. We were upset he did not follow through on some of the items we specified during our meeting as well as what we noted in our online planning portal. For example, we wanted our father/daughter guests to join us half way through the father/daughter dance so the DJ (Daryle) was supposed to invite all fathers and daughters to the dance floor. I kept trying to make eye contact with the DJ but no luck so I had to make eye contact with my groom and so he had to run to the DJ to notify him. By that time, the song was coming to an end so there was no point. The DJ made sure not to do the same mistake again with the mother son dance. A comment we received from the bridal party was that they didn't have enough time to do their bridal entrance act. Each bridesmaid and groomsmen had an elaborate plan on how they would enter and it was cut short because the DJ started to call the next bridesmaid and groomsmen. In addition, we requested for the DJ to state the first and last name for each during the entrance. And he only mentioned the first name. Granted we had a lot of people, but that should not matter because we are ultimately paying for their service. The groom spent some time with him to review the pronunciations to each name a few days before the wedding and the DJ didn't even end up saying the last names nor did he inform us he wasn't going to fulfill our request. If for whatever reason, a vendor can not fulfill a request made by the client, the vendor should let the client know, right? Lastly, which was most upsetting (even my parents were upset) was that he cut the money dance (Filipino custom during wedding receptions) super short!! I had no idea he was going to play a few songs and then ask everyone to wrap it up. If I had known this I would have made the request for him to play until the last person dances with the groom and bride during the money dance. I was extremely disappointed! read more

The price quoted to us by KCE was extremely reasonable and we decided to sign with Daryle as the DJ for our wedding reception. We met with him and was extremely excited as we hit it off right away. We were confident that he would do a great job as our reception DJ. However, things started going wrong as soon as the reception started. During the bridal party entrances, Daryle messed up the order and played a couple of songs wrong - he also mispronounced multiple names. Also, after he announced the newly-weds, there was an awkward 20 second pause before he played our entrance song - this left everyone wondering if something went wrong. During the various speeches we had, we received many complaints saying that the sound system wasn't working properly and the speakers couldn't be heard. The entire planning process went smooth but we were disappointed with the performance of the DJ on the actual day. read more

Please do not book with this DJ for your wedding. He did multiple mistakes, only an hour or so into him starting " working" music had stopped during our dinner and he was no where to be found...10 minutes later he was found in the back eating/ gossiping with my photographer. He did not play any of the music we talked about or requested. The music was so low as well...I was asking him to play new dance music but heard mostly 90's music. Do yourself the favor and search else where he did not follow up with me after the wedding was over with to make sure I was happy...my wedding was two weeks ago. We decided to go with Keith Christopher Entertainment after talking with a few DJ companies. We got the Basic Package because it was reasonably priced and added uplighting to it. We were told that we would be able to choose our own DJ (normally a part of the higher package), since we had booked uplighting with them as well. We chose Daryle because we wanted a DJ who knew Spanish music. A couple weeks before the wedding as I was looking at our planning form online (which is set up very nicely) and it said our DJ had changed to Mario. I emailed and called Keith Christopher a few times and finally got clarification as to why that changed. Another couple had gotten a higher package and wanted to choose Daryle, so they were able to have him instead of us. I explained why I had been able to choose our DJ, but no comments were ever written down in our file about this and the person who had helped us had retired. Honestly, it was not a big deal because they found a DJ who also knew Spanish music, but I just wish I had been notified of the change instead of just coming across it on the planning website. I guess that was just some mix-up in communication. As for the actual services on our wedding day, the uplighting looked really nice (we had purple uplights) and our DJ did a fantastic job. Mario played slower and older songs at the beginning to get people dancing who might leave early. He also included quite a few Spanish songs and knew when to play them during the night. The last few hours really picked up with the music and a lot more people were on the dance floor. He also coordinated things very well with us for our dances, cake cutting, bouquet/garter tosses, etc. and always took cues from us. He played almost every song on our play list and read the crowd very well! He also helped me in the days before in coming up with songs to have for our slideshow and various parts of the reception, which helped me out a lot! I truly appreciate his hard work and felt that he really made our wedding that much more enjoyable! Bottom line: Great services for a very reasonable price, just make sure to get things in writing =P read more

Keith did a fantastic job! He helped us pick the perfect songs (especially for the ceremony because we had no clue)! He knew how to get EVERYONE, no matter what their age was, out on the dance floor!! One of our best memories of our entire day is when Keith played "Sweet Caroline" and ALL of our guests circled around us!! That was a lot of fun! KCE was the DJ vendor for my wedding reception. The initial contact is great when they are trying to book you and get a deposit. After that, they forgot to give me information about the online tool, which they bragged about during the initial contact how that makes them stand out as a company and they use unique information from it at the event. My DJ used NONE of the information at the event after I spent hours filling the thing out. I had no contact with the DJ until 2 days before the wedding, and that was because I was nagging them. He did not spend the time to get the proper information, like name pronunciations or how we wanted to be introduced, which he butchered during the intros. He also did not play the INTRODUCTION MUSIC WHEN WE ENTERED or when the bridal party entered because the volume was turned all the way down - then did not even apologize. It set the stage for the entire night - LAME. He did ZERO crowd interaction, I mean zero. He just played songs and nobody was on the dancefloor, which he did not adjust the music. People continued to not dance all night. During dinner, there were points were five minutes would go by and there would be no music playing while he was sitting down. I was embarrassed to have this DJ at my wedding, I was embarrassed in front of my guests, and I am most embarrassed that I paid as much money as I did for what I got. I would never recommend this company again. They need to hire better DJ's that are intuned to the customer before they lose their customers. I wish I could have received a refund. read more
