I bought a 170 cc Lance 200i scooter in November 2016 with top speed of 65 mph. I visited Extreme Supply the very next day to buy a helmet. Luckily I stumbled into Salesperson David Salinas. I told David I bought the speedy scooter so I could ride to Huntington Beach this summer on PCH without getting run over. (From Seal Beach to Huntington Beach, PCH really opens up.) David wisely convinced me to invest in my own safety by purchasing a full face helmet, flack jacket, leather knuckle gloves and high quality, above ankle boots. Extreme Supply's retail store offered great brands at fair prices so really - it was just a matter of finding the best snug, yet comfortable fit. As important, David told me the best way to get the M-1 motorcycle license I am required to have was to invest $250 and sign up for the DMV certified, two day motorcycle safety training class. With that certificate, you need only pass the DMV's written moto test (and roughly half if the regular Driver's license test). But you don't have to take the state moto driving test which is hella' difficult. Without doubt the weekend I gave up attending moto safety training was the best investment I've made in my continued health and happiness. Bottom line, I've already upgraded my ride to a Piaggio BV-350 that tops out at 90 mph - and I've bought a boatload of gear and accessories from David and Extreme Supply ... because I trust them. read more

I would leave zero stars if possible. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. We bought my son a BMX helmet and since covid they are only doing curbside pickup... that was not the issue. Once we got the helmet we realized it was too small for my son. I called and asked if we could exchange for the next size up and he said that it was final sale. He never told me that when I was calling to inquire about the helmet. I would never purchase something final sale especially for a child when the item may not fit correctly. My sons dad was the one who actually went to go buy it, when swiping his credit card he also failed to tell HIM that it was final sale. No where on the receipt or on extreme supply's website does it mention this. According to the website it says you have 30 days to return. Robert was extremely unprofessional and rude, assuming he doesn't want to get in trouble for misleading customers he tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong and lied and said he had told me. Bait and Switch artists! Be very careful ordering from them. It seems as if they only care about your email address to send you spam. They will take your order, but then later that evening 'Steve' will email you back saying that they don't have your item in stock (but it's listed on their site as being in stock) and that he tried to 'special order it from the distributor'.. To your surprise, he will make the offer for you to order something at a higher price, for a minor percentage discount (10-15%), which would amount to you spending MORE money on the site. I placed 3 orders for closeout items using different email addresses and card numbers, and to my surprise, 'Steve' replied to each order with the EXACT SAME spiel about it being out of stock, and that he tried to special order it from the distributor, but it's 'discontinued', but to make me feel better, I could order something else for more money. I visited Extreme Supply because the closest cyclegear near to me was in Lomita . At first, I thought it was a store, but going in, all you see is an office. Armando took me into their backroom showcase and I started to look around. They don't have everything on display and a lot of items are on close out which tend to sell out fast. Armando and Adam the manager were great. They are a local shop and just want to provide the best gear at the best price they can. They might not have the biggest selection but if they have what you want, you can be sure you'll receive the best price. For example: I am buying my fiance her first helmet and she's getting an AGV K4 Evo Solid. Revzilla has it $239.95. I emailed Armando and told him that it was slightly out of her price range. He helped me out and kicked it down to $175. Pay in cash? No tax. That's more than a 20% discount. I've passed by this place so many times, it's one of those places you have to know is there because you can't tell what it is from the street. Today, I finally decided to check it out. When I walked into the showroom and saw the large volume of products in the warehouse, I felt like a kid in the candy store. I was greeted by Armando and told him the products I was interested in. Between anywhere from 5-10 calls and 2-3 emails, I finally got through to a customer service rep and was promptly put on hold for 18 minutes before hanging up and trying again, only to get their automated message again (I've already left a few messages). Discovered Extreme through the vintage Vespa forums I belong to and really glad I did. I dropped by to check out some helmets and Armando up-front sort of became my personal shopper, which is pretty surprising considering that they are really a massive warehouse for their online site that allows invites customers to come shop in person. When I walked in I was a little skeptical since you enter into a small little office area. But all you have to do is tell Armando what you want and he'll steer you in the right direction. The *correct* way to shop here is really to go online, make a list of the things you like and then head-in to check them out/try-on in person. Pretty impressive since the prices seem to be as good as you can find online and the selection is huge.
