Purchased 3 bikes here. All was well until I started getting a flat tire on the latest bike every few days. Four flats in a matter of 2 weeks. Didn't ask for warranty. Just fix the issue. On the 3rd visit, I was upset about the lack of quality assurance and the fact I had to take time off work to come in. I'm currently stuck on the side of the road, again. First, I was told it was a bad tire on the bike I purchased from them a few months prior. Second, it was the rim liner, 3rd, it was the used tire they sold me. I wonder what it is this time. Back at the beginning of the Great Pandemic I did what everyone else was doing: pulling their old bicycles down from the rafters of their garages. In my case it was a classic Peugeot 10 speed racer. It had not been ridden in years and had a slight patina of rust on the chrome parts. Called a shop in Garden Grove that has a 5-star Yelp rating where a friend worked part time. Unfortunately, I got the owner on the phone. Told him I wasn't sure if the bike was worth salvaging. He said they would only "look at it" for $50 and give me an "analysis". WTF? Psychatrists in Beverly Hills don't charge $50 for a 60-second analysis. So I consulted Yelp, called A&D and spoke with Chris, the owner there, who seemed a lot more in touch with reality. Chris looked at the bike for 60 seconds (sans any $50 "analysis" fee) and said new tires and a slight rear brake adjustment were all that were needed for my beloved classic. (The rust removal was up to me.) Chris called a day later to say the custom wheels I wanted were no longer alailable in the size I needed, so we went with an alternative and the bike was ready when promised. A&D is a great locally-owned small business with an honest owner. My first dealing with them earned them a repeat customer and recommendations to friends. read more

This place is great, the prices seem fair although I don't know much about bikes. I brought in a road bike and had a rim changed for $80 (he brought the price down from 90). And he calibrated the back gears for $25 and replaced the wires for free. I also think they replaced my intertube for free and gave me a valve adapter for free as well. So I paid $105 and it felt like a great deal. He gave his work a 1 month warranty. On my 1st ride one of the cables became loose and slipped out of the gear and on my way to get it fixed my back tire also shifted out of place and was hitting the frame. They fixed both issues on the spot very quickly free of charge but I tipped them $10 anyway. What I think happened is that they are very busy and they simply did not tighten things up right the first time, but they need to be careful with that. So, the only thing I would say that they need to work on is that they take their time working on the bikes. Things feel a bit too rushed and simple but very important things are overlooked. I still liked my overall experience and look forward to going back. read more

I went in a few weeks ago for a simple tire patch repair for a tubeless tire. They decided to destroy my bike tire and rip off the valve instead of patching it. They then proceeded to insert their own cheap inner tube that doesn't belong inside my bike tire and charged me $50 for terrible work. They knew they did the wrong thing and probably hope I would return again so they can keep stealing my money. Not happening. I'll be getting my money back later today. Omg!!! I have NO idea how to install a toddler seat to my beach cruiser or a trailer seat and I had bought them thinking they were easy to install. It got too dark, yesterday. Today, I asked Siri to call the nearest bicycle shop and it was this place! Chris answered and he was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Omg! What a great guy! He runs his uncle's shop and does all the repairs and replacements and is so friendly and smart! Not only did he help me install the bicycle seat for my son and I on my bike (after looking for the right bolts to fit this bike in his toolbox) but he gave air to my tires and my son's training bikes and we got another bike for $10 (paid for brakes)! I was so happy for his diligent multi-tasking between other customers coming in and out and for his very friendly and excellent customer service, that I went and got him some Gatorade and chocolate! Lol! And he ended up buying my son an ice cream from the vendor who came by! Oh! He also helped me load my bike onto my roof so I had more space in the car for my son! Wow! Speedy, reliable, and friendly service. I gave them a call looking to get my bike tuned up and they had great prices compared to other local shops ($40 for a single speed, $45 for multi-speed bikes). I dropped my bike off about 20 minutes later and they were able to look over it right away. After taking a look at the bike, the employee told me I didn't need a tuneup, but pointed put some other repairs that would be better for a comparable price. I ended up replacing front & rear brake pads, the front brake cable, and having both tires aligned for a very reasonable $55. My neighbor recently bought a bike at this shop. She rode her bike and noticed the next day she had a flat. I took it to the shop for her and the gentleman replaced the tube without charging her. After fixing it he noticed the tire had also been damaged. He didn't hesitate to fix it-again without charging. He simply said, "She just bought it yesterday so we will fix it for her no problem." But he asked me to warn her not to ride that path-not good for her bike tires. After he finished replacing her tire and declaring it finished he noticed one of the 'picky' things (that ruined the front tire) on the other tire. Again-he kind of just looked a little concerned and said, "This one is probably damaged too." This time I offered to pay. He said, "No, she just bought it yesterday. We'll fix it." These guys are the best. I bought a new seat and a rack for my son's bike and I'm going back to get new grips. A family owned business that operates with integrity and passion.
