Mike is a dishonest person. I brought in my bmw to get the air blower replaced and I was quoted close to $850 for labor and the parts. But in reality the parts cost less than $250 and the labor was less than 10 minutes as all you have to do is remove 3 bolts and put in the part. It is rare that I give five star reviews, but I just couldn't wait to share the good word about the great services that are provided by MD Auto. I'm the type of person who will pay more to bring my vehicle to the dealership for maintenance and repairs where I'm willing to pay more just because I feel I can trust the work that is being done. But now, I'm fairly confident that I've found a new go-to auto repair shop, and the good news is that it is right in town. Not only was the work that was performed solid, but the honesty from these guys is unmatched by any dealership or chain auto repair center. And the prices were so beyond reasonable that I actually think they should be charging more than they do. They ran a diagnosis on a check engine light without a charge, and spent additional time checking on issues that we had questions for without charging a dime. The only expenses that were passed through were for parts with a minimal charge for labor (just $100 when they had the vehicle for longer than a full day). brought in 2016 audi A6 for a general servicing. oil change, tires, brakes, filters etc. wife takes car to lunch next day and runs out of oil after a few miles. she was able to drive to a gas station who fixed the oil issue. was missing a gasket cap. went back to MD next day to complain, get reimbursed and find out the problems. within minutes of explaining the problem, Ryan an owner, reimbursed our extra expenses in cash and then personally came to our house to clean the driveway from the leaking oil. he fixed the problem at the shop and i will be going back for next servicing. they are honest and really care about the customer. read more

My sister has been taking her vehicles to MD Auto for a few years. Naturally, when my 14 year old truck needed some TLC, I took it to MD. My truck needed a lot of work done. Power steering, front and rear brakes, new muffler, oil change... you name it. I found this place in yelp.. I recently moved to Boonton from Parsippany and was looking for a new Auto repair garage near me and came across MD Auto Repair.. When i went there i was greeted by a very nice lady in the front desk, and then she introduced me to the owner Mike. I told him that i needed 2 new tires to be installed a wheel, headlight alignment and a oil change. also told him that i might need new break pads and possibly a camber kit. I Dropped off my car and received a call 5 hours later.. Md Auto told me that everything was ready.. Tires installed .. head lights, wheel aligned, oil change done.. No need for the camber kit ( he was able to adjust the wheel angel without it) and no need for New Break pads.. I was very happy With the work quality and more importantly The honesty of Owner. also Mike is such a Great guy he offered to drop me off to my house when i dropped off my car. very rare to find Service like this... . MD Auto is a good place. Owner/manager Mike is knowledgeable guy, and been in the auto business for decades. Reasonable cost repairs, and better than most on diagnosing issues. I've had 5 cars in here; from tires to oil changes and accessing potential used cars for kids (bought one & didn't buy another based on his evaluation, each were good calls). The mechanics he has working for him were also good and respectful of the cars ( I never got in my cars to find oily foot prints , Clean - just like the came in). A professionally run shop. read more
