It took me awhile to find a vision provider that took my insurance , new to Florida . They were very professional and open during COVID which was a plus since my frames were in bad shape . They were busy but still had everyone socially distanced and masked . They had state of the art equipment and a good optometrist . The gentleman that helped me pick out my glasses and did the measuring also was great . Go here . read more

One October morning I accidentally splashed bleach in my left eye. I have never felt pain like that. After flushing my eye, I could no longer take the burning. I asked my wife to find an eye doctor who would take me right now. The first call she made was to Eye & Ear of the Palm Beaches. They said to come in right now we got you don't worry. As soon as we arrived my wife started to fill out some paperwork, however, I heard a voice say not to make him wait and directed them to put me in a room. My eyes were tightly closed so they guided me to a chair where the Doctor told me to put my head back he put a few drops in my eye & seconds later the pain was gone & I was looking directly into the eyes of my savor, Dr. Richard Cohen. I needed to go to the emergency room so he made the call himself to make sure they would be waiting for me and they already knew what was going on, which saved us so much time. TRASH TRASH TRASH TRASH. I'm a veteran the VA must have a contract with this place which was my first clue that this place was garbage. The lady that I sat next to had to go to the desk and ask what the hold up was because she had no been seen and had been sitting for awhile. When they called my name I went to the back and once I said I was having an issue with my eyes they refused to see me even though I wasn't there for that issue. I'm so upset. I have been coming to Boynton Eye and Ear for many years. Dr. Cohen is absolutely the best! In my previous review (in 2013), I said the staff had improved, and I am happy to say that they are still doing a good job. I generally buy my glasses elsewhere because the optical department at Eye and Ear is a little more pricey, although the frames are beautiful! Occasionally I have tried other places to save money, but would rather spend it here to get my eyes checked correctly, an accurate prescription, and Dr. Cohen is wonderful about keeping notes and watching for changes in my eyes. To the veteran who complained because they wouldn't see her due to a problem with her eyes -- this is an optometrist/optician office. If you have a serious medical issue, you need to see an ophthalmologist (surgeon). Dr. Cohen won't let you waste your money. And by the way, the exams are more expensive because they have all the testing equipment. If you want to refuse the extra tests, you can. read more

I have been going to Eye and Ear since for over 10 years. You can't beat the amazing customer service and the prices are very low. They always pass along any discounts they get from their vendors to you. I am in and out quickly and leave happy. Also I purchase vintage designer glasses often and they always add my prescription in perfect, sometimes having to custom make my frames. NO ONE ELSE WILL DO IT OR DO IT RIGHT! I have been coming to Eye and Ear for years. And will continue to do so. I got tempted to go elsewhere by the ads on tv and radio and even called to find out more. The high pressure sales of the competition turned me off. I decided to stick with Eye and Ear in Palm Springs. Boy am I sure glad I did. There were friendly greetings from the moment I walked in the door. Every single person was friendly, polite and compassionate. I really felt important there. Because of Insurance I have been sent to two other providers for the last couple of years. I received long waits, impersonal treatment, and relatively no help selecting product. I was extremely skeptical about the results and rightly so. I was relieved to find out that Eye & Ear were providers for my new insurance. Compared to the others in this area, Eye & Ear excelled. My first experience with them years ago was an emergency as I was a visitor and broke my glasses. This visit left an indelible memory of fast, excellent, and courteous service which gave me complete trust in the results. The price range is affordable to pricey and certainly you can find cut rate prices at other discount places, but your eyes are too important for inferior products. At any rate, I am glad to be back with a vision provider I can trust. read more

I just had a set of lenses done. When they came back, they were less clear than my current lenses. I went for a re-exam and a second set of lenses were made. This time, they were about the same as my current lenses, but not any clearer. I am not a happy camper. read more

First off the doctor was very professional, and knowledgeable and personable. The front staff and the eye glasses person had horrendous customer service. The glasses are very expensive and they try and sell you way more then you need, then belittle the fact that you don't want it all. I ordered the most plain, non-upgraded options they have. As I thought it would be very simple for them to get. Very wrong! As of this post it's been over a month since my examination and fitting. Not one follow up call or anything. I paid for the glasses and I just called back and they put me on hold. They agreed it's been over a month, and that I guess thier insurance person dropped the ball or something. This is a place I do not recommend going to. My old eye doctor was way more pleasant and friendly and on the ball to deal with. I warn you, stay away from here. read more

I first went in to get my eye exam in April 2011. I thought everyone was really nice and so polite. I didn't plan on getting my glasses there but they were so good to me and the price was just right I decide to get my frames and lens there. Also they had guaranteed my frames for a year. My husband came with me to the appt. and when he saw the service I was getting, he decided to do his eye exam and also get a pair of eyeglasses. Few months later after receiving my glasses around July, my frames cracked in the front for no apparent reason. So i called them up and they said they will replaced them. I was so happy. The guy who helped me with my replacement frames mentioned the reason they probably cracked was because they were too tight. That's how they had it in the beginning. So now here I am, its November just a few months after I got my replacement and they cracked again, for no apparent reason. When I called them up for a replacement they said I would have to pay because my insurance already replaced them the last time. I spoke to a Bernard who is an optician and he was really rude. He pretty much stated he didn't care. When I said that me and my husband wouldn't be patients anymore, he didn't care. He sounded he was ready to get off the phone. I really like this company alot but if there are people that work here then I will not bother to go there anymore. read more
