The surgery co-ordinators, Tiffany and Ken were very friendly and efficient. The staff at the surgery center were very kind , making sure I was warm and comfortable. There was no pain during the surgery, later at home my discomfort was manageable with simple Tylenol. At Dr Lam's office you will encounter Carmine at the front desk( take her a Hello Kitty trinket) and Ariel will check your eyes before Dr Lam sees you. Both of these women are delightful and like their jobs. Dr Lam gave me 20/20 vision . He listens to you , he smiles when he speaks to you , he addresses every concern no matter how ridiculous they sound. I highly recommend Dr Lam and his entire staff. Don't be afraid, get the cataracts surgery, you are missing out on so much with bad eye sight.

While my PRK eye still has some healing to do it was nothing like the internet made it out to be, and the team does everything to ensure you are comfortable and not in any pain. I have been working with the Katzen team since March of this year when I went in for my first evaluation. Because I was a long time RGP contact user, it took me a bit more time to be approved while only wearing glasses. Fast forward almost 3 months later, and I am writing this review without anything but my corrected eyes! It is truly amazing and the procedure was quick and painless (though you couldn't have told my nerves that the day I had it done). If you are on the fence about visiting Katzen Laser, DO IT. I did a lot of research before finally making the call for an evaluation and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I wouldn't trust my eyes anywhere else. As soon as that was done, Dr. Oppenheimer saw me. She checked my eyes and put in new plugs which usually last three months and then they disintegrate. The Dr prescribed me a medication on 12/31/2025 and told me I would hear from the "specialty pharmacy". I waited a week and heard nothing. Then I called several times over the next 3 weeks to try to get some info on where the pharmacy is and when I would get my medication. The answering service keeps saying they will relay the info to the office and I get knowhere. Finally, it is 1/16/2026 and after 3 weeks of not receiving my medication I started calling every day. Until finally the answering service got me in touch with someone in the office named Candace who stated the fax to the pharmacy must have gotten "lost". They never submitted my prescription to the pharmacy!! It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received my eye drops.
