The wait time on the phone to make an appointment was 39-minutes, but once through, the agent was very friendly and efficient. At the office, huge and bustling, clean and organized, I was called back soon after the allotted appointment time and was seen quite quickly, though the entire process still took an hour. The staff, young and knowledgeable, helped quickly and looked up answers to my questions that they were unsure of. (Namely, if medications being prescribed are safe for breastfeeding mothers, nursing children.) Review updated 12/4/2021 from 3 stars down to 1: another 35-minute hold time only to be given no further clarification as to the use of eye ointment prescribed 8-days earlier. I was told by the phone agent the doctor or his team would get back to me by the end of the day (6 hours from the time I called), and 4 days later, I have yet to receive any call back. I also emailed via the website while on hold, as the repetitive hold message suggests, and still, 4 days later haven't heard anything. This may be one of the busiest, yet is by far the worst eye doctor's offices I've ever been a patient of. Just because you CAN get an appointment, doesn't mean you should. You'd be better off awaiting an appointment at your regular eye doctor, or finding someone else.

Jeanna Hoyt screwed up my eye exam so my new glasses made my vision worse. The exam and glasses needed to be redone.

I'm a completely self admitted anxious medical person, especially given that I have a family history of melanoma and have been monitored closely over the years by my dermatologist. Plus, add in it's your eyelid which made me even more nervous. Thankfully I was in the best hands possible. Dr. Carey was so kind, calming, and wonderful throughout this whole process of getting this removed. His staff made everything seamless with scheduling, and answered any questions I had and were so kind when they could probably sense my panic at times about things. I'm almost 2 weeks out from him removing the mole and you can barely tell I had it taken off. I am eternally grateful for his care he has given me and feel so fortunate to have found him. Thank you Dr. Carey!

That said, I ended up paying nearly $4,000 for a bunch of stuff...lid cleansing, and 4 IPL treatments for Rosacea and ocular Rosacea. I had inquired from her staff about Excel V which I had read was the gold standard for ocular rosacea and they told me IPL was the way to go. Well, I only saw Dr. one time. The 4 IPL treatments were done by her staff. When I told them it didn't seem to be working about half way through I was told I needed patience so I went for the entire course per Docs recommendation. Not only did it not improve my skin at all, it actually made my eyes worse. Wish they would have laid out my options before rushing me into something that was really not intended for rosacea. Surely as knowledgable as this Dr is she would have known about the procedures such as Excel V and V Beam and could have explained them all so I could have made a choice. When I told the staff it didn't work they just said "ok". No follow up with me by the Dr or anyone else. This did leave me feeling like it was all about the Benjamins to them. Hope I'm wrong but here I sit....my eyes worse then ever, my skin still bad and my bank account much smaller. She came highly recommended and is probably great for dry eyes but I would not recommend her for ocular rosacea at all.

They answered all the questions I had and, being an engineer, I usually have a lot. I WILL go back to them for my next eye exam or any other needs. It was such a great visit. I've never had a doctor and their staff make me feel so relaxed and comfortable. This is the right one.
