Back in 2017 I was looking for a new place to get glasses. I wanted a place different from the chain stores I was used to. I wanted a place with good reviews and a friendly staff. After looking at numerous great reviews from multiple reliable sources, I headed to Eye Candy. I will start by saying I have absolutely no fashion sense and I am a plus sized woman with a very round face...which typically means I have a hard finding the right frame shape. I am also far-sighted, so I typically get fish eyes with even the best of lenses. That said, I walked into Eye Candy and was instantly amazed by all of the very unique and original frames. They carry frames like nothing I'd ever seen. I didn't know where to begin. However, Steve greeted me, noticed my reluctance and grabbed a few pairs of glasses he thought would fit me perfectly and OMG, he was spot on. I loved them all, but I especially loved the pair I bought. And, I didn't have fish eyes with the lenses. I looked like an ordinary person with the most designer glasses!!! I received dozens and dozens of compliments about my glasses over the years!! Sadly, two years later, I broke them and then lost them shortly thereafter. I made the HUGE mistake of going to a chain, run-of-the-mill eye glass store (super close to my work) and bought an ordinary pair of glasses. I've been disappointed with them for over a year. Finally, last week I went back to Eye Candy, with the goal of getting my first pair of Sunglasses and hopefullythe same frames I ordered in 2017. Steve, despite me wearing my pandemic mask, having to keep distance and sanitizing every pair I tried on, found me the perfect pair of sunglasses! As I suspected, they no longer carried my glasses, but Steve custom ordered them for me from Belgium (IKR!!) and I couldn't be happier. They took less than 2 weeks to be shipped and have my prescription lenses in them. I will admit, their prices are a bit more intimidating than a chain store, but that comes with their uniqueness and originality. I mean, first thing someone sees on another person is generally their eyes...and if you wear glasses, you want a pair that accentuates your facial features and personality. So, I think their price is equivalent to their uniqueness. After all, you do get what you pay for and they're worth every penny! Eye Candy is THE place to go. Their glasses are fresh, fashionable, current and unlike anything you'll find in a typical chain store. Steve and his staff really know how to find frames to suit their customers faces and tastes. To start - I have been wearing the same black Ray-Ban frames almost daily since 2013. I've had local friends whose glasses I've complimented and they told me they were from Eye Candy. It's only a few minutes from my house, so I've passed it multiple times and considered going in, but didn't think I was cool enough. I've read all the 5-star rave reviews and if I'm being honest, the reason I actually pulled the trigger was because I recently started a new job and had eye insurance again. I wish I had gone sooner, though!! My husband and I were immediately greeted by John, who I knew I liked right away. He started suggesting frames that I probably would have not picked myself because I was convinced my "style" was thick, black, over-sized glasses similar to what I already had. We had it narrowed down to four pairs and I eventually decided on a pair from Sugar Specs that I would have not even considered if I was shopping without guidance. John was funny, honest and worked with my budget. I left on Saturday afternoon assuming I wouldn't get my glasses for a week or so, but I was able to pick them up on Tuesday! Steve helped me make sure they looked right on my crooked face and I left with a nice case, glasses cleaner and a candy bar very excited about my glasses. Wearing them today with confidence and have already gotten two compliments. I will absolutely not wait 6 years for another new pair and will be back to Eye Candy. Their selection is abundant, with cool brands I've never heard of, and I guarantee anyone from the simplest to most eclectic taste can find the perfect pair. Avoid the chains and shop local! Just like the name says, it's like being in a candy store but only full of really cool glasses! If you're looking for something to set you apart from the average bear, look no further - this place has so many unique , out of the box, cool, funky, and retro pairs glasses to choose from. I had to buy 3 pair each time, it was just too hard to choose - in addition to the great selection, the customer service is off the chart. They treat you like you're the only one, everyone there is great! They even bring you super good coffee while you're shopping! Johnny at the Westlake location is fabulous - he goes way over and above to help you , Francine at Westlake is super sweet and easy to talk to, they are all great! Marina who's been there since the beginning goes back and forth from East to West location and has been wonderful over the years . The owner Steve is a super groovy nice guy , totally relatable, easy to connect with and cool- the Westlake store has a New York Loft style vibe, it's not super big but don't let that fool you...there are so many wonderful brands and styles of glasses , it's truly amazing - they have opened a second store on the East side of Cleveland since and I hear it's just as good! There are only the 2 locations and I'm thrilled to have them so close. I get so many compliments on my glasses , regardless of which pair I have on. They are all awesome! You won't be disappointed! This place easily has the best selection of eyeglasses in town compared to other places I've been to. I didn't need an appointment and got attended to right away by an optician. I told her what I was looking for and she looked high & low and in her back stock to find me the perfect pair. I would've bought three pairs if this place wasn't so expensive, but for good reason: they import all of their designer frames from Italy. The owner, Steve, looks like he's having the time of his life and is very knowledgeable. He gave me constructive, honest feedback and I finally settles on a pair that looked great for my face shape, even though it was different than what I thought I wanted when I walked in. My service was seamless and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes. They had my prescription transferred over from another place where I got my updated eye exam and couldn't find any frames I liked. I pick up my new look on Monday after this experience on a Thursday. If you're looking for glasses that are stylish and you're willing to spend a little money, this is your place. They do not take Medicaid. read more

Ok, so if you wear glasses and haven't been to this place it's a must. You won't believe what you'll find. It's like a kid in a CANDY (no pun intended) Store! It is truly Eye Candy. It's like going to a New York loft type store, it's small (the west side one is) intimate, and oh so wonderful. The selection is crazy, glasses from all over the world. The prices are a bit more than buying elsewhere, online, or other larger places that can offer cheaper glasses, but you don't get the selection you get here. I bought 3 pair from them 10 years ago, and I just went and had new lenses put in one of those pair because I love them that much. I still wear them and get lots of compliments. I've bought quite a few since, but like anything, you end up with your favorites. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the owners are downright awesome, and the eye Dr is even really cool. IF I had to pick one place to get my glasses, this would be the place. Do yourself a favor and just GO! read more

if one looks at your eyes as the windows of your soul, well then, your glasses are the coverings of those windows. Specs ought to be something that not only begins to define you, i think its sometimes is one of the most important things that people remember about you. Very subtle changes in material, colors, proportions and lines make a huge difference. Anyone who looks at specs as an important expression of yourself, ought to visit this shop. Its been worth it for me to travel all the way from the East Side to the West to see my friends at Eye Candy. They may even offer refreshments while you shop. Not you normal experience buying glasses, for sure. I hope rumors of a shop coming east are true. They simply have things that other local shops do not have. I purchased my first pair of progressive lenses with the help of Francine, a knowledgeable and extremely engaging eyewear stylist. She encouraged me to look at the large selection of glasses, ask questions, compare styles, etc. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything, and she answered every question in such a way that I was able to genuinely understand how these lenses would be different from the ones I'd been wearing. Francine provided me constructive, informative feedback and assured me I could always come in for a fitting adjustment, or any other issue with the eyewear. Steve, the owner, was kind enough to give me a discount I had neglected to request when I originally bought my glasses. The glasses were not inexpensive, so I really appreciated this. I love supporting locally owned businesses, and I highly recommend Eye Candy Optical for their selection of quality eyewear, and excellent customer service. 5 STARS! read more

You don't have to live in Cleveland to experience the great selection and customer service of Eye Candy Optical. I live in New Mexico and found the shop while searching for a very specific, hard-to-find frame by the Belgian company Theo. Eye Candy carries Theo but didn't have the model I wanted. Instead of giving me the standard "We don't have it, sorry, bye," Anton tracked it down and had it shipped from Belgium. I had it within 10 days. I couldn't believe it, and liked the frame so much I asked Anton if I could get another Theo model recently released. He again tracked it down for me and had it shipped to my door. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service. I was kept informed every step of the way as the frames traveled from Belgium to New Mexico. In doing business with Eye Candy, I couldn't help but notice they carry a terrific selection of very cool, cutting-edge frames. This is one great shop! read more

I recently visited EYE CANDY OPTICAL in Westlake, OH for the first time. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed. It is a refreshingly hip and modern-cool shop. They carry a unique collection of fashionable frames from all over the world. It was so much fun trying on all of the different styles! Tom gave me his undivided attention for 1.5+ hours to find just that perfect pair of glasses. The owners, Antone and Marina, were also super friendly and made you feel "at home". ("Thank You" for the tasty espresso.) :) I purchased a gorgeous Tom Ford frame that perfectly reflects my personal style and actually excites me to wear! The staff here are incredible, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They will help you select frames that you will love! I, myself, am completely in love with the Lindberg frameless line of eyewear. They are custom made for you; you pick the lens shape, ear stem design, color, finish, and voila, glasses you will cherish. They also helped me pick out a pair of fun sunglasses that I would have overlooked were I shopping on my own. Don't be timid about letting the staff help you; they know their stuff! Let me start by saying I've worn glasses since the age of 7 so I've been to maybe optical stores and had many pairs of glasses. Eye candy is located fairly close to my house and I had commented on several of my clients glasses wondering where they got them and a few had said eye candy! I stopped in on a whim and was immediately greeted and given the run down! Their customer service is on point. They really want to cater to you and make sure your getting the proper pair of glasses as well as something fashionable. I was blown away by their selection of glasses and customer service both. I ordered two pairs and could have bought ten I liked so many! The owner was friendly as well! Since I got my new glasses I've had a few clients go and get a new pair and they are all so great!! The optician, Marina, at Eye Candy knew exactly the look I was going for and assisted me in selecting frames. She was not pushy and was honest in her feedback, which I appreciated! The store stayed open almost an hour past closing on Friday night so I could finish selecting my frames. Thank you guys! This shop is the classiest optical shop in the Cleveland area with excellent quality and unique frames. Once you see a frame you like, you better get it because they are not likely to replace it, more likely to add in more style options. Check it out and fashion-up!!! If you have an insurance that they aren't contracted with they will provide for you the appropriate paperwork to mail the plan involved, so you can still utilize your plan. I was a skeptic at first...always buying from optical chains like Lenscrafters, Pearl Vision or Vision Works because the price was right, but you get what you pay for. I've been wearing glasses for about 20 yrs now and In each case I didn't receive much support in selecting the next great look. When I visited Eye Candy for the first time I was amazed...the associates were busy pulling out multiple styles and providing feedback on the appearance of each which I felt was genuine. Not only are my new glasses more stylish but the lenses are by far superior to any lens I've ever had in any previous set of glasses. The clarity, lack of glare and simply the pure improvement in my vision as a result is amazing. I want to have a sanding appointment at this place once a month - whether I need it or not!!! It's such a fun and supportive atmosphere. Dr. Eric was spectacular! He spend a lot of time explaining, educating, fine tuning and I could tell that he really just wanted to make me SEE BETTER!! Out front, though, is where the magic happens. Such an amazing selection. All of the employees/stylists were engaged in the whole process and made me feel like a movie star in a make-up chair rather than picking out frames for my bifocals!!!! They were patient with me - even after I left the store and changed my mind about my final selection an hour later and had to call back. Eye Candy does a fantastic job and their customer service is top notch. A year ago I went to the Crocker Park store with my glass prescription from my ophthalmologist. I met both Steve and John at that time. A week later, once my glasses were completed I could not see correctly so their optometrist re-examined my eyes and they remade the lenses all free of charge. After a year now and having finally paid for my glasses in full, I found a chip on the frame over my nose. Being just over a year since I purchased them I was concerned because I was out of the warranty period, but I contacted Steve and my Tom Ford frames were replaced within a week at no cost to me. I cannot say how much I truly appreciated that. I live an hour away so traveling that distance is no small effort but well worth it. Thank you Steve and John! read more

Secondly their customer service is outstanding. Johnny truly is a genius when it comes to finding the perfect frames - go see him and you will be happier than you have ever been with your glasses! I wasn't planning on getting new frames when I went in for my exam. But I started looking around & with the expertise of the staff, I ended up trying on quite a few. The 1st pair I didn't pick out, the gentleman working there picked them out & said "try these on" I looked at them & thought no way, to dark for my face & not my style.
