The prices are pretty competitive with other places. I never have to wait long and it's a nice clean environment. This is a good place to go for glasses especially if you have a family because I can see Dr Lorand interacting with kids. He's a very nice guy. There's plenty of parking on the street and they aren't crowded. I'm glad I found this place, now all I have to do is find a dentist

Some frames aren't made to hold my trifocal and strong prescription lenses. Colleen is very good at explaining my options and helping to find the best frames to fit my face and lenses. She is very kind and thorough, ensuring that my glasses fit perfectly. I wouldn't pick frames without her. Lakewood Vision Center will always be my number one choice for all things eye related.

It took them three attempts and weeks to get the bi focal placement right in the lenses. Final straw was today I broke the arm of my sunglasses..not the frame at all the frame and lenses are perfect I took them up to the store expecting to be able to order and pay for a new arm. It's literally held on by a small screw! I was told somewhat rudely tonight that I'll have to have my lenses put into new frames they don't order parts for glasses. I'm done with this place. Do yourself a favor and go to Warby Parker like I should have. And will in the future.

My frames broke after 14 months of wear. I assumed that replacement would be their responsibility because all of the other frames I've worn in the past (from other businesses and brands) lasted four to five years holding up to lens changes etc. I received a message that my replacement frames were in. When I returned to pick them up the woman looked at me and with a condescending voice said "those lenses won't fit your frame." What was I supposed to say to that? They ordered them? Upon inspection we discovered that they ordered the wrong replacement frames. SMH. The condescending woman didn't apologize for being rude, for ordering the wrong pair or inconveniencing me. When I went in to pick them up the second time, they charged me for shipping them. It seemed high for 1 small box; $25, but I felt that I shouldn't have to pay for anything seeing it was a faulty product. But they explained the 12 month warranty was over. First time they mentioned that btw. I paid the 25$ but explained other frames I owned held up and I felt it was a faulty product. Emphasizing that I was just making a point that they ought to consider other manufacturers. I've worn Prada and Oliver Peeples with no issues. The lady shared she would have someone call me. As I was walking out the same condescending person said to the other employee, not once but twice and loud enough for me to hear, "we will need to fill out a form to cover these (the loner pair) at a loss." Duh. I hope you wouldn't try and resell the loner pair frames that I was wearing. But you don't say it out loud in front of the customer like it's their fault. Sheesh. When the person did call me, as they were chewing a mouthful of food, asked if I had a question. I responded I didn't have any questions, that I assumed she was calling me to rectify the problem. Nope. "They stand behind their product" and "they could have charged me for the replacement frames due to the warranty being over" and insinuated that I should be thankful they were only charging for shipping." $25 dollars to ship a pair of glasses. Making me wonder if I paid for the first and second shipping cost. I really didn't have any complaint with the optometrist. She seems knowledgeable and thorough which is why I gave Berris Optical 2 stars rather than 1. However, I believe she is responsible for the staff. Either way, I will not be returning and would not recommend this business.

They try to upsell you on literally everything rather than taking your needs into consideration. My insurance covers a basic exam but when I went in I was charged over $50 for the exam and when I asked why they told me because they automatically added on an extra service -- this should have been disclosed prior to the start of the exam. When I express this they acted like I was the crazy one. I had some issues with the lenses once I received my glasses and went in to try to resolve the issue which was entirely their fault, but it took them an arm and a leg to admit that. And even after recognizing it was their fault, they were so hesitant and trying to actually fix the problem, so I gave up. They had improperly marked the optical center on both lenses, which intern made everything blurry -- at first they tried to say it wasn't their fault, but that I so used to wearing glasses that were incorrectly made for my vision that I couldn't recognize what proper vision felt like. I really wanted to support local, which is why I went here in the first place, but I'm really turned off at how inconsiderate and out of touch the staff are. I would avoid at all costs.

This business opened 2 years ago (in 2018) in Rocky River so they are still fairly new. The facility is very neat and clean. EYE EXAM -- The whole exam took about 15-20 minutes. You will go through the standard eye check then test your eye sight by reading letters off a board. I also added 2 additional services, a blood pressure test one other test (for a total of about $25 extra). I can't remember the name of the other test but I think it was a glucose test. My insurance covered the eye exam and new frames (new glasses). I paid extra because my insurance didn't cover everything 100%. I also added blue light to my glasses to reduce the effect of eye strain when starring at a computer. GLASSES -- There are so many options to choose from. Cindy, the front desk clerk, helped me choose which frames to get. I ended up with a colourful and patterned DRAPER JAMES frame. Draper James eyewear was started by actor Reese Witherspoon which is cool because I had no idea that she had a glasses line. I'm officially gonna be getting bifocals which she answered all my questions about. The store was clean and decorated for Valentine's Day. They did not try to sell me into higher price glasses and every employee I interacted with was nice. I didn't find any glasses but I will be back to this location for my exam in two years. Same day appointments are always a winner to me
