Always a very welcoming and friendly group here. Started coming when it was just Dr. Halstrom and found him to be very personable and easy to talk to. Now going here with Dr. Tung and she is just as friendly and knowledgeable and will explain everything about your eyes during the visit. The office staff are easy-going and friendly too. They make you feel super comfortable with them and will even pick out some glasses to try on and don't hurry you or seem impatient that I take forever to choose. New covid rules of course, but nothing drastic. Hand sanitizer coming in and temperature check. It's always been a super clean office in the first place so it's probably just more of the same cleaning for them. I've never had a bad visit here. There was a cleaning rag on top of the guest bathroom sink also the soap had ran out. I have had 22 exams in 4 states and I have always been given a new bottle of trial size contact solution. There was a shared bottle of contact solution that was available to use which I am shocked to see especially since there is a pandemic. I have always been given a trial pair of new contacts to test the fit before ordering but there were none. read more

I picked up some frames in Korea back in April and finally booked an eye exam a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to see my old optometrist because I switched my insurance provider but, after coming here it had me wishing I made the change sooner! I went through the usual pre-exam routine with the red barn and the puff of air. After that the receptionist took pictures of my eye and I learned that they do that instead of dilation. I got my eyes dilated once at my previous eye-care office and declined it every single time after that. The process is just unpleasant so, leaving it out of the exam was a big plus for me. As far as the eye exam goes, Dr. Tung was awesome and the exam was very thorough. She gave me a lot of information about my astigmatism and let me know what adjustments to make with contact lenses that corrected it. She also gave me a detailed review about the photos they took of my eye earlier. Once the exam was over I was helped by Kathleen and she was just as awesome! She did a great job at explaining the different types of lenses and made it easy to pick the ones I wanted for my frames. She also took my measurements and my glasses fit perfectly when I got them a week later. I had a great first experience here and it was all because of how personable the whole staff is. They were all cool, friendly and they got me seeing clearer than I ever have before. I'm looking forward to seeing them again next December. Thank you, everyone! read more

Updating my review to because this time I had gone back and saw dr tung with my kids. She was definitely patient and super nice! Staff was also very patient and sweet considering I was there for three appointments with my 8year old and 5year old. The only thing that was kind of mind boggling to me was that now we have to pay for the imaging of my eyes. In the 10+ years I have gone here that was never before anything additional. Dr. Holstrom also always waived my contact lense fitting, but obviously since it's no longer his practice that is expected. read more

Dr. Tung was the first optometrist that explained that one of my eyes is more elongated that the other and is why one eyelid is more slightly closed than the other. Now I understand! The new equipment that takes images of your eye enables a patient to see the eye and optic nerve, incredible. And Dr. Tung's provides an explanation of my eye health with the images. Very informative. The staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. I'm fortunate to have Dr. Tung and her staff caring for me. I highly recommend a consultation with Dr. Tung. I have been going here for three years. The optometrists and technicians are very nice and helpful. I like that they have a machine that can take a picture of the inside of the eye and avoid dilating the eyes. It would be nice if they provided eye glass cleaning solution along with the cloths. It is easy to make and confirm appointments online. Also, it would be nice if they took American Express. They only accept Visa or Master Card if you want to pay with credit card. read more
